CERN (The European Organization for Nuclear Research) never ceases to amaze me. In the need of a solution that could handle large amounts of unstructured data quickly in a distributed environment (hint – think NoSQL) they chose CouchDB. After over 1 year of extensive testing coming up with this choice for their Data Management and Workflow Management (DMWM) projects is a big vouch for the main product of Couchio.

Still, will this be enough of an argument to raise the interest of enterprise organizations sharing the same needs, yet relying on RDBMS just for the sake of the learning curve?

Last evening I attended the BI in the cloud webinar hosted by Tibco1 – one of the market leaders in SOA and Business Process Management software.
