Autumn is the season where everything pumpkin return to our lives, so this week I aim not just to add pumpkin to your drinks or on Halloween decorations but to add pumpkin to everything. Because what represents autumn better that pumpkin color.

Because of that the pumpkin color is one of the best ways to introduce our interiors to the new season.

Otoño es el mes en el que la calabaza lo inunda todo, por ello esta semana os animo no solo a añadir calabaza a vuestro café o como decoración de Halloween si no a que os rodéis de éste color tan otoñal.
Por ello no hay una mejor forma de introducir la nueva estación a nuestros interiores que añadiendoles el color de la calabaza.

1.-The pumpkin wall:

This will be a fun a big statement that can add that extra something that your place is missing. But as I say to my clients and I can´t stress this enough a bright wall isn´t for everyone doesn't matter how much you love the color.

Añadir una pared de color calabaza a tus interiores es una forma divertida y llamativa de empezar la temporada, y quizás consigás con ello añadir ese "algo" que antes le faltaba a tu hogar. Pero antes de hacerlo piensa en algo que siempre les digo a mis clientes; las paredes de colores llamativos no son para todo el mundo, por mucho que te guste el color elegido.

This is a more quiet way to add color to your interiors and still keeping the impact when someone steps in. If you combine this with a neutral tones the result can be beautiful interiors.

Esta es una forma más discreta aunque también impactante de añadir color a tus interiores, si combinas los muebles calabaza con una decoración neutra puedes obtener resultados maravillosos.

A less expensive way to change the look of your home will be to accessorize it. add blankets, pillows, candles and everything that reminds you of a pumpkin.

I love spending time in the outside with my friends and family, and now that it's getting a little bit colder here is the perfect time to enjoy those outdoors.

Como buena mediterránea me encanta pasar tiempo en el exterior ya sea en una pequeña terraza o en un jardín gigante.

I´ve planned on doing this stolen lives post for a while as I~~´m obsessed with~~ love Mindy Kailing, let's just take a second to think how brilliant someone has to be to direct, write and act on such an awesome show.

The thing is that I love the style and the interiors of the show. As someone who loves bright colors I can´t think of a better show to make this week's post.

Have I said that I really recommend this show?

Hacía ya tiempo que quería hacer un post dentro de vidas robadas… sobre la serie the mindy project, personalmente ~~estoy obsesionada~~ me encantan la serie y su protagonista, que también es la directora y escritora.

Si no habéis visto la serie nunca os la recomiendo muy mucho.

Además de la serie en si tanto el vestuario como los interiores son geniales, ambos están llenos de color por lo que no había una serie mejor para escribir el post de esta semana.

How to live in a tiny apartment

Organizar y decorar un estudio o apartamento pequeño puede llegar a ser un poco frustrante, sobre todo cuando la mayoría de nuestras referencias corresponden a lugares más grandes, pero esto no quiere decir que no puedas conseguir tener la casa que desearías solo que con una medida más reducida.

Living in a small apartment can be tricky and frustrating, even more if all the references we have on our heads belong to much bigger places, even though you can always get the house that you want but tiniest.

Lo más importante en mi opinión a la hora de organizar un apartamento pequeño. Es diferenciar las distintas áreas aunque todas estén en la misma habitación, para esto puedes utilizar alguno de los trucos siguientes:

Usar distintas gamas de colores para cada uso, éstas deben de estar coordinadas entre sí ya que seguramente las veas todas a la vez
El uso de alfombras para delimitar las distintas áreas siempre da un resultado muy visual al espacio
En el caso de que puedas pintar, destacar una pared con un color fuerte o algún estampado señalará que ésa es la zona principal del loft o estudio
No compres, ni hagas nada hasta que no tengas la distribución total clara, si lo vas haciendo poco a poco el resultado final no tendrá nada de cohesión.

In my opinion the most important thing when organizing a tiny apartment is that you can tell apart every área of it, so you can have a place for everything (work, eat, sleep) even though everything is in the same room. You can achieve this with this tricks.

Use different colors to each area all the colors must match with each other as probably you will see them all at once.
Use rugs to define the different areas
If you can paint your walls it will be a good idea to paint the Wall attached to the main space different than the others
Don´t you dear to buy or do anything before you have the hall apartment figure out, if you don´t follow this rule it will be more difficult to achieve a united, coordinated space

Piensa que es lo que realmente usarías en una casa más grande y haz que éstos elementos sean los protagonistas de tu hogar.

Si tu apartamento es muy pequeño no podrás llenarlo con muchos muebles por ello debes de intentar que la mayoría de las piezas tenga una doble función, por ejemplo una mesita de noche que sirve de camarera cuando tienes más invitados de lo normal. O que tu cama pase a ser un sofá añadiéndole unos cuantos cojines.

Think what you will use the most in a bigger home and make of it the principal área of your tiny house.

If your apartment is very little you can´t put a lot of furniture on it, because of that you must use pieces that can serve a doublé function as a side table you can us as a bar table when you have people over, or a bed attached to the Wall so you can use it as a couch adding extra pillows.

Almacena en todos los lugares que puedas, no desperdicies nada, debajo de tu cama por ejemplo es el lugar perfecto para almacenar gran parte de tus cosas.

Storage everywhere you can, in every single place that is out of sight as under your bed.

Si aún así no puedes almacenar todas tus cosas, usa algunas de ellas como objetos de decoración, añade un burrro con ropa de un único color o deja tu colección de zapatillas a la vista.

If even like that you have things you can´t fit anywhere use your own things as decoration, putting a track with clothes of the same color or exposing all your converse.

En cuanto a la elección de muebles los que no llegan al suelo y quedan levantados con patas darán mayor sensación de amplitud

The furniture that touches the floor is your enemy, use furniture with legs and it will look like the space is bigger

Si no puedes pintar las paredes, una alternativa sería incorporar muebles de color, para conseguir ése matiz o llenar la habitación, por ejemplo el dormitorio con una gran alfombra

If you can´t paint the walls (we all have been there) you can add color accents with your furniture or filling up the room with a color carpet.

Estos son solo algunos trucos, que espero que te ayuden.

Shades of… Marsala

Como no podía ser de otra forma el primer Tonos de… de éste año va dedicado al color pantone del 2015: MARSALA; no se si solo me lo parece a mí pero es como si Marsala fuera la versión invernal de radiant orchid.

Personalmente lo que más me gusta de éste color es lo bien que combina con otros colores, a continuación os dejo algunas imágenes para que os inspiréis y viváis el 2015 rodeados de éste bonito color.

The first shades of…. of the year could´t have been about other than the pantone color of the year: MARSALA; I don´t know about you but I feel like Marsala is the winter version of radiant orchid.

Un refugio en los Alpes

Cuando las temperaturas bajan, es imprescindible refugiarse dentro de casa, sobretodo en los lugares con climas mas fríos.

Por ello la decoración de los refugios de nieve en los Alpes nos sirve de fuente de inspiración para los meses de invierno. Estos refugios suelen tener espacios acogedores y cálidos; para así contrarrestar la nieve y las bajas temperaturas exteriores.

Los materiales usados son los autóctonos de los países que limitan con la cordillera; como la piedra, la madera o el fieltro, éstos se mezclan con el loden (tejido impermeable y abrigado inventado por los tiroleses). Las telas de cuadros, los tonos cálidos y las astas de ciervo completan los interiores con encanto alpino.

When the temperatures drop, it´s essential to take refuge in the house even more if you live in an extreme weather.

Because of that the interiors of the Alpes shelters are such a source of inspiration during Winter. These cabins are inviting and warm spaces in order to work against the cold outside them.

The materials are the native of the countries next to the Alpes like stone, Wood, filter and loden (thick, water resistant woollen material). Check fabrics, warm tones and deer antlers complete the enchanted alpin interiors.

A pesar de todo lo anterior, siempre es importante que incorpores tu estilo personal a tu hogar, por ello te aconsejo que intentes romper las reglas con la finalidad de hacer cada espacio lo más tuyo posible.

Por ejemplo si te gusta el color o el estilo bohemio siempre puedes mantener todo lo que hemos visto antes pero cambiando el estampado de los tejidos por uno de tu elección.

Al tener la base en madera clara resulta relativamente fácil combinarlo con otros elementos o cambiar lo que desees. Es cuestión de ir probando y elegir finalmente lo que es mejor para cada situación.

As an example if you really like color, or your style is bohemian you can always maintain everything I have said before, but changing the pattern of the fabrics for one that you really like.

Al tratarse de un estilo tan definido, tanto en sus materiales como elementos, resulta muy fácil incorporarlo a cualquier interior. Por ello si te gusta éste tipo de estética será fácil incorporarlo a tu hogar.

Christmas is coming

Christmas is coming, and with it all the preparations we have to do before it arrives (this can be almost as funny as christmas itself, just almost).

Because of this now is the time put out all our stuff from last year and be sure we don´t have something missing, even more use this to renovate our things.

As you might know now I´m not really a fan of sharing the stuff I own or the Stuff I buy.

But the thing is that I have become to have a serie of ítems (that I have worn over and over again) that I think are perfect for the cold weather. So I just wanna to share them with you because maybe this can help you now that the temperature is falling down. you can´t shop some of them as they are for other seasons, but you can buy a very similar ones this year.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA

I think we all have our favorite high end designers (even though we can´t afford them) in my case the one that has always been on the top of this list is Oscar de la Renta; so when I read he had passed away I decided to do a post about him.

At first I though about my favorite dresses but I changed my mine and the result are some sentences that I really wanted to share with you.

Creo que tod@s tenemos nuestro/s diseñadores de moda favoritos (aunque no nos los podamos permitir), en mi caso uno que siempre a estado en la cabeza de la lista es Oscar de la Renta; así que cuando me enteré que había fallecido decidí dedicarle este post.
Al principio iba a ser sobre vestidos, pero finalmente decidí compartir éstas frases:

So its 19 of october again and it means today it´s the breast cáncer awarness day, the thing is my second post in this blog was writen on october 19 so I can´t help remembering the begining of this blog as I´m writting this down.

As last time, I will say that even though a lot of brands advertise they support the cause we should take in mind which percentage of the money goes to the cause as sadly sometimes is a very low one (but something is better than nothing right?)

So I will show you here my favorite initiatives from this year.

Ya estamos otra vez a 19 de octubre (que rápido pasa el tiempo) y esto significa que hoy es el día internacional del cáncer de mama, misegundo post fue escrito un 19 de octubre, por lo que no puedo evitar acordarme de los inicios del blog mientras escribo esto.

Como en aquella ocasión os recuerdo que aunque muchas marcas anuncian su apoyo a la causa debemos tener en cuenta el porcentaje del precio que se dona, ya que en algunas ocasiones este es bastante bajo, aún así algo es mejor que nada no?

So it seems untrue that Autumn is here again. Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, that´s because it comes after the holidays and it brings all our new Projects, plans and resolutions.

One of the things that I like the most about Autumn is the color scheme of the leaves falling from the trees, I’ve been told more than once that the perfect place to see this is in New York. Parece mentira que ya este aquí otra vez el otoño, la verdad es que es una de mis estaciones favoritas, entre otras cosas porque al llegar a la vuelta de las vacaciones trae con él nuevos propósitos y proyectos.

Una de las cosas que siempre me ha gustado más del otoño es el cromatismo de las hojas al caer, más de una vez me han comentado que el lugar donde mejor se aprecia esto es en Nueva York. Y aunque creo que tendré que esperar algún tiempo para verlo en directo aquí os dejo un post relacionado con estas tonalidades, y el link al del año pasado tonalidades de otoño que creo que también os gustará.

September is the month where everything starts again, sometimes I think September brings more new things than January, or maybe that´s just me.
Even though it brings the autumn and the bad weather with it, I feel like is one of the most exciting months of the year.
For me this September is even more different that the usual as is the first year that I don´t have to come back to university, so that will make a big change for me; I hope a good one.
Because of that I wish you all a lovely September and a lot of new of exciting adventures.

Septiembre es el mes en el que todo comienza de nuevo, a veces pienso que trae más novedades que Enero y el comienzo del año, no sé si pensaréis igual...
Pero la verdad es que aunque marque el inicio del otoño y del mal tiempo (que cada vez se atrasa más) creo que es uno de los mejores meses y uno de los que trae más cambios. por eso os deseo a tod@s que este mes venga lleno de novedades y de cosas buenas.

I know it´s been a while (ore even more) since my last post…. But I was working and finishing my final Project, so In my mind that’s a good excuse.

So after month and months of hard work and craziness, now i can tell you.. I’M AN ARCHITECT !!

As I just started my holydays some days ago I will dedícate this post to my love and miss over those past months swimming pool, Yes I love them I even have a board on pinerest about them jaajjaja.

The Perfect Fairytale Dress

Because of that I wanna share with you this dress I found a while ago. It's a creation from the artist Ryan Jude Novelline and is as the artist says a "Storybook gown constructed entirely out of recycled and discarded children’s Golden Books" so how cool is that? I think this piece very interesting and because of that I wanna share it with all of you.

Teneis el disfraz preparado? espero que sí por que ya estamos en Carnaval!

Por ello quiero enseñados un vestido que encontré hace ya algún tiempo. Es una creación del artista Ryan Jude Novelline y como él mismo lo describe es un libro de cuento creado a partir de libros de niños reciclados. No os parece genial? personalmente creo que es una pieza muy interesante y por ello la quería compartir con vosotr@s.

I´ve been revising my university projects in order to build (or at least try to) a better portfolio. In the process I came across a lot of models and drawings of Alvar Aalto Works so I decided to post some of his interiors today.

Últimamente he estado revisando mis trabajos de la uni con la finalidad de mejorar (o al menos de tratar de mejorar) mi portafolio. En el proceso he encontrado varias maquetas y dibujos de la obra de Alvar Aalto por lo que he decidido escribir un post sobre sus interiores.

Hi !!

So now it´s officially christmas and Winter is here; I don´t know about you but I’ve been having a Little bit of trouble writing my letter to the three magicians (because Santa doesn´t arrive to my home as we live in Spain, so we have to wait a Little longer so the three magicians can arrive to our home ).

Thankfully this only applies to my on wish list as I have managed myself to decide what I want for my loved ones.

I let you bellow my gift guide. It´s almost entirely addressed to girls I´m sorry but for guys I shop right on the store so no internet image of that :( and also I was hoping that this post help me out to complete my own letter.

Ahora que oficialmente ya estamos en navidad y que el invierno ha llegado, no se vosotros pero yo estoy teniendo algunos problemas escribiendo mi carta a los reyes (es una mezcla de indecisión y de que afortunadamente tengo las necesidades básicas ya cubiertas).

Por suerte esto no ha afectado a mis peticiones para mis seres queridos, si al menos he decidido esto !!

Probably some of you don´t know about it, but today it´s the constitution day here in Spain, and that means that today is a festive, free day (aka no work no uni just fun day )

In my family this also means it´s time to get get the christmas ornaments out and start hanging them and putting them around.

So in case you haven´t done your decorations this year, you think you need an extra something new or you just enjoy seeing christmary things I let you below some of my favourites ornaments.

And of course after that a stop to the christmas market was mandatory !!

Así que en lugar de eso terminé yendo el día siguiente a we love cats market que es un mercadillo de cosas hechas a mano que recauda dinero para darles una segunda oportunidad a los gatos que han sido abandonados en la calle.

Y por supuesto pasé por el mercado navideño por que en estas fechas es una parada obligada !!

EL 25 de Noviembre se acerca, y por si alguien no lo sabe es el Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia contra la Mujer (o DIEVCM).

Éste es un tema que nos atañe a todos por igual y por el que la sociedad debe luchar, en el 2013 en España han muerto 53 mujeres por culpa de ella.

No soy una experta en el tema ni nada parecido asique solo añadiré que la violencia de género empieza mucho antes de que llegue la violencia física por ello todos debemos estar alerta para detectarla, denunciarla y ayudar a las víctimas en la medida que podamos.

Rememorando éste día os dejo dos canciones relacionadas con el tema y un fondos de pantalla para el ordenador y el móvil que podéis descargaros para que el 25 tod@s llevemos lila.

The 25 of November is approaching and in case someone doesn´t know is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

This is an issue that affects us all, and a subject that society must fight against. In 2013 just in my country (Spain) 53 women have died because of it.

I´m not an expert on this topic but I will add that gender violence starts long before the Physical violence arrives so because of that we must all be on the watch for it, to detect, report and help the victims as far as we can.
