here’s one more to take you head-long into the winter!
its time for another grand installment of poetry from P.S.Burton!
from Poem 11 :

Are you friend or foe? I ask of you
Tell me something I already know.
To self-indulge in expensive drunkenness
And cry of love far-far gone.
And end the night in the vomit of repugnance.

we will be setting up at this great crafter event at the Magic Stick in just over one week from today. for those of you who made it to the DUCF this past August, you will no doubt understand that this event is not to be missed for anything (did someone say ‘plane ticket’?)

for all the most up-to-date info, keep your eyes peeled to the HD blog, as if thay aren’t already …

and as per usual, the Handemaders say it best:

That’s right, the lovely folks ::cough, us, cough:: who brought you this summer’s “it” event (DUCF, anyone?) are pleased to present the 2006 Handmade Detroit Holiday Market Saturday, Dec.9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Detroit’s own Magic Stick! And, per usual, there’s no cover! (This is your cue to call grams and gramps and see what they’re up to that day…)

Make sure your calendar is cleared now and that you’re rounding up that loose change for a run to the nearest Coinstar. This holiday bonanza (I’ve been dying to type that word) is much, MUCH more than your standard craft fair. Get yourself ready for music (most likely of the “happy” and “holiday” kinds), make-and-take tables (did someone say audience participation?!), and a variety of unique gift ideas from some of Detroit’s coolest makers, both crafters and artisans alike. Not to toot my own horn here, but this really is the place to be on Dec. 9. So, TOOT, TOOT!

(we’d just like to add that we have, in fact, used a Coinstar recently … and we’re pretty sure its what heaven will feel like)
