Palestinian youths have tipped over a part of Israel's separation wall in the occupied West Bank during a demonstration which marked the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Some 300 Palestinians and left-wing activists attended the demonstration in the village of Naalin, Ynet reported on Friday.

They held banners reading "No matter how tall, all walls fall."

According to the demonstrators, a 6-meter (20-foot) high section of the wall was taken down.

"Twenty years ago, no one imagined that the monstrosity that divided Berlin would ever be taken down, but it took only two days to do it," said Muhib Hawaja, a protester attending the rally.

Israeli police however dispersed the crowd by firing tear gas and rubber bullets. Some of the demonstrators were wounded, according to the report.

Israel began the construction of the barrier in 2000 despite the fact that the International Court of Justice had declared the project illegal.

It confiscated thousands of acres of Palestinian lands for constructing 723 km (454 miles) of a barrier of steel and concrete walls, fences and barbed wire.

A new study has concluded that nearly half of all US children and 90 percent of black youngsters will be on food stamps at some point during childhood. Researchers say the fallout from the current recession could push those numbers even higher. The lead author of the study, Mark Rank, said, “This is a real danger sign that we as a society need to do a lot more to protect children.” Children on food stamps are at risk for malnutrition and other ills linked with poverty. In 2008, over 28 million Americans received food stamps in an average month. About half of the recipients were under the age of sixteen.

When I heard of the news about Fort Hood, my reaction was shock and disbelief that fatalistic violence occurred on a U.S. military base. And for what motive? Why would a Jordanian-descent man with an Arabic-sounding name be fingered as a guilty-before-proven innocent spree shooter suspect, who happens to be a psychiatrist?

Inevitably, Mainstream Media jumped into this tragedy with subtle gun control propaganda (total disarmament by revocation of constitutional rights) in full throttle.

For an alternative view of the tragedy, the post (at the bottom) has been salvaged for posterity before chance of memory-hole. That hypothesis may make sense because of the "redacted and quietly suppressed reports" there were the shooters numbered between 3 or 5 with the arsenal of assault weapons to destroy and maim the victims, which is not possible with (as reported by lying Mainstream Media) just a handful of semiautomatic pistols that require rotation of full magazine clips in rapid succession to annihilate as many targets as possible in just a few minutes of stunning shock of a sudden attack that transpired in panic, terror and chaos.

I know this from a minimal experience handling and target-shooting variety of pistols at the target range. Dropping the empty magazine clip to replenish with another full clip (8 to 12 combat bullets per clip) slammed in to fire with working precision (not jamming) takes a lot of practice to execute competently. It may not be possible to achieve with rigid determination in the midst of stress and chaos of violence. It takes steel-cold determination to commit an act of violence and mayhem that cause mortal wound and critical injury like this.

The cruel bullying of conscientious objectors who refuse to deploy by ultra-nationalist fanatics caused the mutinous few to rebel by striking at the core of the American imperialist machine with the furious counterstrike of violence. This is the act of fatalistic desperation by exerting psychological force to turn on the bullies. Whatever happened to the real perpetrators is hereto not known, whether they are captured or dead.

The cover-up has been convened with an official story to blame a psychiatrist, of Arabic descent, who just cleaned his apartment to be readied for deployment without indication of behavioral problems that could lead to outburst of violence. They found the suspected 'patsy' -- alive. Not dead as initially reported. And on a golf course, 'violently' detained by MP and SWAT teams. 2.5 miles away from where the carnage occurred. The 'patsy' is wounded but in stable condition as reported, under military guard.

As far as the truth is concerned, whether it happened or not as described above, the truth has disappeared into the mist surrounded by lies and cover-up facilitated by the powers-that-be leading to Texas law enforcement agencies and Fort Hood officials under the thumb of the Pentagon in coordination with the compliant local and national media. The above hypothesis is what I suppose happened, even though it's difficult to discern with a degree of plausibility because of conflicting and contradictory reports, but I do not know if it's accurate. Just a wild guess. Mainstream media pundits and producers, law enforcement, Fort Hood Army officers, U.S. Government officials, and others complicit in the cover-up are lying through the teeth to pin the blame on a lone suspect, with predictable hysterical attack on Islamic culture & religion like Fox News Channel and right-wing neoconservative blogosphere do nowadays to influence public opinion to behave with extreme prejudice against Islamic practitioners in America and overseas.

This reeks of a cover-up with the mainstream media going wild, gleefully reporting on the horrific carnage with the pretension of an authoritatively moralistic view while simultaneously calling for national disarmament in eventual modification or repeal of the Second Amendment and state constitutional provision on citizen firearm and defense rights.

It began with psychological violence and bullying of conscientious objectors (who vehemently resisted deployment to Afghanistan on account of a wrong, protracted, misguided war that have no effect on favorable outcome but continuous occupation and destruction of Afghan civilian lives to ostensibly control the access to Eurasian/Caspian Sea oil) in the Army in Texas that devolved to a violent mutiny when psychological pain became overpowering to the perpetrators who lashed out because there is no way out other than dishonor to self as unwilling pawn and death.

The mainstream media have no interest to even consider this hypothesis. It is a crazy and implausible "conspiracy theory" that deserves scorn and dismissal in their neo-Fascist view. The public have been deliberately misled and willingly deceived by the compliant mainstream media that is more than happy to play ball with the "insiders" who know what really happened but would rather cover up humiliation than admit the facts outright pointing to mutiny.

Case in point: Similar massacres led to national banishment of firearms in the U.K. and Australia in the mid-90's, within months of each other. Cui bono?

Case in point again: The assassination (murder beyond reasonable doubt) of Pat Tillman in Afghanistan and exaggerated claims about Jessica Lynch's ordeal as a rape victim-hostage in Iraq. Corrupt media, effectively called the Fourth Estate, played ball with the Pentagon in boldly lying and covering up the truth for maximum propaganda effect.

The truth is probably something VERY different. For example:

'Two US privates John Smith and John Henry had been seeing a military psychiatrist major Hasan at Fort hood for a few weeks. Both privates said they were completely against the war of oppression in the middle east and would refuse to report for active duty if ordered to do so.

So the army put them both in therapy with Dr. Hasan. After more than five weeks of therapy both Christian privates were called to go to Afghanistan. Both privates warned they would not go and they would defend themselves with force if the army tried to force them to fight in a war they believed was morally wrong.

Yesterday fellow soldiers tried to surprise the two conscientious objectors but the privates were prepared and killed 12 soldiers who tried to force their way into the privates' barracks at Fort Hood.

During the melee their psychiatrist major Hasan, tried to talk the two privates into surrendering but he was shot twice.

Finally both privates were overcome and killed. Their psychiatrist major Hasan is in hospital recovering.

Officials of the military have spun the story to make it seem the privates' doctor (who has a muslim sounding name) was the perpetrator so that the public does not understand just how much resistance there is to the middle east war in the military rank and file.

The whole official Fort Hood cover story is 98% a lie - just like 9/11. Do you trust the main stream media for the truth in a story like this? Heck, for any story?

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Mohamed ElBaradei said yesterday that there’s nothing to worry about at Iran’s nuclear facility at Qom. The news will not please the Zionist warmongers in Israel and their neocon fellow travellers in the US who insist that Iran has a ‘nuclear weapons program’ which, according to the Israelis, they want to use to ‘wipe Israel (and most of Palestine) of the map’.[1]

The Israeli Zionists and their neocon supporters in the US have been using the ‘Iran has a nuclear weapons program’ and the Iran wants to ‘wipe Israel off the map’ nonsense for some years now in the hope that they can drum up enough support from world-wide public opinion to justify attacking Iran in order to bring about a regime change there. But each time they beat their war drums and build it up to a crescendo where there could well have been an attack against Iran, along comes ElBaradei to rain on their parade by saying that there’s still no evidence of any Iranian ‘nuclear weapons program’. And each time that has happened, a pattern has emerged whereby Israel attempt to find some other casus belli to get at Iran via either Hezbollah in south Lebanon or Hamas in the Gaza Strip or both.

On several occasions during these past few years Israel has attacked both the Gaza Strip and south Lebanon on some Israeli-manipulated pretext or another in order to try and drag Iran into these wars thus providing an excuse to attack Iran directly with the help of the US. So far the Israelis have failed miserably.

But now it seems the Israelis might be up for another try at stirring up a war via Hamas or Hezbollah in the light of ElBaradei’s latest pronouncements about his findings at Qom.

Israel now claims that Hamas have secretly tested a new missile, supplied to them by Iran of course, with a range of around sixty miles which means Tel Aviv could be targeted. As a result, an article in ‘Ha’aretz’ today claims that Israel is preparing Israel for another assault against the people of the Gaza. On top of that, Israel has also claimed that a ship it stopped and hijacked on the high seas was delivering arms supplied by Iran destined for Hezbollah in Lebanon providing the possibility of another excuse to attack the people of Lebanon in the hope of escalating such a war to draw in Iran and the US.

Just as 114 states at the UN endorse the Goldstone report on Israeli warcrimes committed in the Gaza, the stage seems to be set for yet another act of murder and mayhem designed to get the US to attack Iran. The Israeli sense of timing is always immaculate.

Vaclav Klaus Signs Lisbon Treaty

Czech President Vaclav Klaus on Tuesday reluctantly signed the Lisbon Treaty on the future of the European Union. The signature followed a Czech constitutional court ruling earlier in the day saying the treaty does not clash with the Czech constitution.

President Vaclav Klaus signed the Lisbon treaty after the Czech Constitutional Court issued its verdict this morning, Klaus himself said today.

The Czech Republic was the last EU country that did not ratified the treaty. With Klaus's signature, the ratification has been completed.

The Constitutional Court today rejected a complaint against the treaty and said the treaty was in line with the country's constitution.

Klaus said he expected this verdict and respected it though he did not agree with the court's arguments.

On Thursday, the EU leaders agreed on an opt-out from the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, demanded by Klaus for Czechs. Klaus's missing signature was the last obstacle to the implementation of the EU reform treaty.

Israelis Seize Iranian Arms Ship

Israel's navy has intercepted a ship carrying hundreds of tonnes of Iranian weapons intended for Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Israeli military has said.

The Antiguan-flagged vessel, Francop, was boarded 160km (100 miles) off the Israeli coast, the military said, and has been towed to the port of Ashdod.

PM Benjamin Netanyahu said the arms were intended to strike Israeli cities.

In recent months Israel has stepped up efforts to combat the smuggling of arms to both Hezbollah and Hamas militants.

Hezbollah has not yet commented on the latest incident.

Iran and Syria have both rejected Israel's allegations.

The Israeli military said marines had boarded the 137m (450ft) Francop after its captain agreed to the search and no force was used.

Settlers Boot (Yet Another) Palestinian Family From Their Home

Rioting settlers on Tuesday forced a Palestinian family from the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah out of its home, after the district court denied the residents' appeal to remain on the premises.

Shortly after the verdict was passed dozens of settlers stormed into the house with hired security guards, and demanded that the family vacate immediately.

A violent riot erupted between the settlers and the neighborhood's Palestinian residents, and police were called to disperse the protesters.

A legal battle has raged for some 30 years over the ownership of 28 houses in this neighborhood.

This particular house, built 10 years ago by the al-Kurd family, was unoccupied and locked for eight years by court order pending settlement of a land-ownership dispute.

Police kept members of the family back as a dozen Israeli men removed furniture.

"They can go to Syria, Iraq, Jordan. We are six million and they are billions," said Yehya Gureish, an Arabic-speaking Yemen-born Jew who said his family owned the land and had Ottoman Empire documentation to prove it.

"This land is Israel. We are in Israel. God gave this land to the Jews. The Torah tells us so. You want war? Declare war on God, not on us," he said.

"I am Jerusalemite, a Palestinian. I didn't come from all over the world," said Rifqa al-Kurd, who had the house built 10 years ago for her married daughter.

The kidnapper and father met at the corner of 5th Avenue and South Manhattan Street in Los Angeles about 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.

"Federal agents (today) fatally shot a man they described as the leader of a violent Sunni Muslim separatist group in Detroit." Targeted was Luqman Ameen Abdullah "whom agents were trying to arrest in Dearborn on charges that included illegal possession and sale of firearms and conspiracy to sell stolen goods."

The Times echoed FBI allegations that Abdullah "began firing at them from a warehouse (and) was shot in the return fire...." Ones also that he said:

-- "America must fall;"

-- if police tried to arrest him he'd "strap a bomb on and blow up everybody;" and

-- that he urged his followers to get bulletproof vests by "shoot(ing) a cop in the head and tak(ing) their vest."

In fact, neither happened, and no surprise. No bombs were found or went off, and bulletproof vests are easily bought online from web sites like bulletproofme.com, so why shoot anyone to get them.

Post-9/11, America declared war on Islam with the FBI in the lead at home. It notoriously targets the vulnerable, entraps them with paid informants, inflates bogus charges, spreads them maliciously through the media, then intimidates juries to convict and sentence innocent men and some women to long prison terms. Egypt blocking aid from reaching Gaza

Egyptian authorities are blocking the passage of a European Humanitarian aid convoy over land. Convoy organisers are now planning take a sea route to El Arish city within the next two days.

The Miles of Smiles convoy has been stranded off the Egyptian harbour of Port Said for almost three weeks despite previously being assured by the Egyptians of safe passage over land into Gaza.

Dr. Arafat Abu Madi, who is in charge of the convoy, has written to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, asking him to put pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to open all the border crossings immediately, to allow humanitarian aid and reconstruction material into the Gaza Strip.

"I am afraid that the children of Gaza will pay the price...It is unacceptable " said Zahir Berawi, spokesman for the convoy. Berawi also pointed out the high costs of the sea option, estimated to be around $150,000.

The convoy organisers had also offered to donate substantial portion of the estimated shipping costs to Egyptian charities in exchange for being allowed to travel over land, but the Egyptian authorities obstinately refused.

The Miles for Smiles convoy consists of 57 Containers, 110 Vehicles, 275 Electric wheelchairs and other equipemnt to replace items destroyed by the Israeli war on Gaza.

115 people from 10 European countries including European Parliamentarians are on board the aid convoy.

Guards: Armed man caught at Al-Aqsa

Jerusalem - Ma'an - An Israeli man was caught by Palestinian security guards at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound early Sunday morning, onlookers and security officials told Ma'an.

Worshipers said the man attempted to reach the Al-Mathara building using a ladder from Az-Zurba alley, which is adjacent to Al-Qattanin Gate in East Jerusalem's Old City.

Onlookers said a machine gun was strapped to the man's back. While several people reported a struggle as the man attempted to flee, there were no reports that he tried to open fire. The man was handed over to Israeli police around 2am, as guards believed he "intended to commit a massacre against worshippers at dawn prayer," one of them insisted.

Later, Israeli police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld confirmed that a "28-year-old disturbed man" was "picked up" when he was found wandering around the area, but denied that the man was armed.

Individuals purportedly involved in catching the man expressed astonishment when told police were denying he possessed a weapon. "Settlers never wander the Old City unarmed," one guard quipped.

Shortly after he taken into custody, an Israeli police source told Ma'an that "it was decided he should be transferred to the [Kfar Shaul] mental health center in Givat Shaul," a West Jerusalem village known in Arabic as Deir Yassin.

Police will hold a meeting at their Jerusalem headquarters to discuss the incident and its potential repercussions, said the same source on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.

Meanwhile, the website of the Israeli news network Channel 10 reported that police arrested a "Jewish man who tried to infiltrate the Temple Mount compound," but cast doubt on claims he had actually entered the mosque area or that he was armed. The report also said the assailant was "mentally disturbed" and taken to a psychiatric hospital.

Jerusalem Governor Adnan Al-Husseini rejected that the specific incident in question could have been executed by a mentally unstable individual, rather than someone with radical religious or political beliefs, due to its supposedly technical nature and the planning presumably required to bypass security cameras and barbed wire, as well as the Palestinian and Israeli guards deployed in and around the area.

In an interview, Al-Husseini stopped short of specifically accusing the Israeli government, however, instead speculating that the man was associated with an extremist organization intent on damaging the mosque or harming worshipers nearby.

For his part, Fatah Jerusalem affairs chief Hatem Abdul Qader called the police's reaction "ironic and indicative" of what he said were Israeli authorities' double standards for Palestinians and Jews.

"When a Palestinian is thought to be behind an attack, he or she is abruptly classified a terrorist who threatens state security, and interrogators are immediately deployed to begin investigations before he's transferred to jail," he said. "However, when the aggressor is a Jew, he's then classified as insane or eccentric, as every health expert is deployed to treat him before he's tossed in a mental hospital."

Abdul Qader added that such policies encourage settlers and extremists "to continue with terror against Palestinians and holy places," recalling a similar reaction to the radical Christian Zionist Dennis Michael Rohan, who Abdul Qader said was swiftly declared insane and hospitalized shortly after he set fire to Al-Aqsa in 1969.

Settler arrested for string of killings, bombings

Bethlehem – Ma’an/Agencies – Israeli police arrested a West Bank settler last month for a string of killings and murder plots, including the slaying of two Palestinians, according to reports on Sunday after a gag order was lifted.

An immigrant from the US, Yaakov Teitel, 37, was arrested in Jerusalem on 7 October. According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Teitel confessed to authorities to shooting to death a Palestinian shepherd south of Hebron in 1997 and killing an East Jerusalem taxi driver the same year.

Teitel is also suspected to have carried out a series of bomb attacks, including one that seriously wounded a teenager from a Messianic Jewish family in the settlement of Ariel, and another that lightly wounded liberal Hebrew University historian Zeev Sternhell.

He also was also allegedly responsible for a blast that damaged a police car at the time of a Gay Pride Parade.

He even claimed during his questioning to involvement in the attack on a gay-lesbian youth club in Tel Aviv in August, in which two people were killed. Israeli security officials said however that there is not sufficient evidence to link him to the shooting.

During a search of his home, police discovered rifles, handguns and explosive materials; they were unable, however, to find the gun which he allegedly used to kill the Palestinians, according to the newspaper Haaretz.

Teitel, a resident of the northern West Bank settlement of Shvut Rachel, near Nablus, was born in the US state of Florida and began travelling to Israel and the West Bank in the 1990s before immigrating to Israel in 2000.

A profile in Haaretz states that Teitel became involved in the “Hilltop youth” subculture of the Israeli settler movement, which called for radical grassroots mobilization.

After the March 1997 shooing of Palestinian shepherd Issa Jibril, Teitel told authorities that he had come to the country with the specific aim of shooting Palestinians in revenge for suicide bombings.

Drive-by shooting

After learning of the arrest, medical worker Ayed Jibril recounted to Ma’an the killing of his father, Issa Jibril. The shooting took place on 8 March 1997 in the village of Ad-Derat, near the Israeli settlements of Susiya, Carmiel, and Ma’on, in the hills south of Hebron.

“A settlers’ car drove up close to my father and shot and killed him,” he said in a phone interview. “I was herding the sheep. My father was heading toward me and was taken by surprise by a settler who shot him.”

“The Israeli police were at the scene and took the body for an autopsy in [Jerusalem police medical facility] Abu Kbir and carried out an investigation,” he added.

Ayed Jibril also called on the Israeli government to immediately issue the harshest sentence on the man who killed his father.

MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somali pirates who are demanding $7 million in ransom for a British sailing couple said Saturday that boats from other countries are plundering Somalia's fish-rich waters.

Ahmed Gadaf, who described himself as a spokesman for the pirates, said Western fishing vessels "harass" local fishermen and destroy their nets. Gadaf spoke to The Associated Press by satellite phone.

Gadaf says the British couple, Paul and Rachel Chandler, are safe and will not be harmed.

The British government on Saturday reiterated its refusal to ransom the pair, saying in a statement that officials would not make any "substantive concessions to hostage-takers, and that includes the payment of ransom."
The Chandlers were headed to Tanzania in their boat, the Lynn Rival, when a distress signal was sent Oct. 23. The British navy found their empty yacht on Thursday, and both have been in sporadic contact with the British media since.

Illegal fishing off the coast of Somalia stirs strong passions in the country. The country's prime minister, Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, said in a speech Wednesday that many countries are fishing illegally in Somali waters and have pushed formerly profitable Somali fishermen into the pirate trade.

He also said during Wednesday's appearance at London-based Chatham House think tank that many pirates are former fishermen "responding to the loss and disappearance of their livelihoods."

Helene Bours, an expert on fisheries in Africa who works as a consultant for non-governmental organizations in Africa and Europe, said she was skeptical that international overfishing in Somalia had a significant effect on the rise of piracy.

"The extent to which the piracy business has developed is way beyond a few fishermen turning (into) pirates," she said.

Bours most international ships operated far from the Somali coast in order to bring in deep-sea fish, and would not be competing with smaller Somali fishing boats working closer to shore. She cautioned however, that the lack of reliable information from the chaotic country made any assessment unreliable.

Sharmarke said he was aware of extensive foreign fishing off Somalia's coast.

"I shall not name names, but suffice to say many countries are fishing illegally in Somali waters," he said. "We estimate that the value of the fish being taken from our waters is perhaps hundreds of millions of dollars."

Pirate attacks have increased the last several weeks after the recent end of the monsoon season. An international armada is patrolling the region to try to stop the attacks.

On 16 October 1935, a barrel marked “cement” fell as it was being unloaded from ships at the port in Jaffa. The broken barrel contained guns, grenades, and ammunition and was one of many secret shipments to the underground Zionist terrorist militias in Palestine. That incident among others (including the British government collusion in marginalizing natives in Palestine while encouraging Zionist Jewish migration and takeover) led in the year after to the great Palestinian uprising of 1936.

Before the state of Israel was founded, these terrorist underground militias that were to become the Israel “Defense” Forces committed over 100 massacres of civilians. The atrocities intensified in the months leading up to the “declaration of independence”. In March and April 1948 alone over 25 massacres were committed including infamous ones such as Tantura and Deir Yassin. Israeli leaders themselves credited these actions as of great use in getting the Palestinians to evacuate Palestine so that a Jewish state could be established without a demographic “burden” of “non-Jews” (Christians and Muslims). The massacres continued after the war with government ordered slaughters at Kufr Kassem in 1956 and more until the latest slaughter of 1400 in three weeks in Gaza (most of them civilians). This showed that the state of Israel is still addicted to these policies of terror.

Israeli leaders as before try to intimidate the world into silence and some do comply (the US and some Western Countries also feed this addiction with money and weapons and use of veto power to protect Israel from International law). However, ethnic cleansing via state terrorism has become more exposed over the decades and Israeli leaders have been frustrated.

They started using other coercive tools to affect the Zionist goal of a Palestine free from Palestinians: economic strangulations, bureaucracy, unjust laws analogous to the Nuremberg laws etc.

The major credit for the decreased effectiveness of slaughter as an instrument of policy is Palestinian resistance (most of it civil resistance).
The second factor is that in the age of the internet, governments and wealthy racists have less control over information. The public, even in the US, Holland, France, England etc, is largely aware and disgusted by their governments’ support of ethnic cleansing in Palestine.

We need to now translate the public mood and sentiment into change in government policy. That takes determination, energy and opportunity. We have an opportunity NOW. The UN Human Rights Council voted by 25 : 6 to accept the Goldstone report despite intensive lobbying by the Israeli government and by the (Zionist dominated) US government.

25 Countries voted for the resolution including China, Russia, Egypt, India, Brazil, Jordan, Pakistan, South Africa, Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ghana, Indonesia, Djibouti, Liberia, Qatar, Senegal, Mauritius, Nicaragua, and Nigeria.

6 countries voted against the report: US, Italy, Holland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Ukraine.

11 countries abstained: Bosnia, Burkina-Faso, Cameron, Gabon, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Belgium, South Korea, Slovenia and Uruguay. Others did not show-up to vote.

Citizens of all those countries should write to their representatives in government (Presidents, parliamentarians etc) and commend those who supported accountability for war criminals and shame those who voted against it or abstained (spineless) thus becoming complicity in such war crimes.

We must also reject the attempts by some countries to save Israel by asking it to conduct an internal investigation; you cannot ask a criminal to investigate his crime and Israel never found its leaders culpable for even one of the hundreds of massacres they committed). (British Prime Minister Brown and French President Sarkozy wrote a joint letter to Netanyahu with diplomatic language that only means more green light to do state terror in the name of “security”)

The importance of this is not to be underestimated (hopefully eventually shocking the Israeli public out of its denial). This worries the Israeli government . The vote and potential downstream events have dominated the interest and talk of Israeli media and politicians. According to Haaretz: “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Friday that Israel must prepare for a protracted struggle against a damning United Nations report..” and daughter of Irgun terrorist and war criminal Tzipi Livni stated, “Today's vote was political and cynical. Israel will continue to do the right thing and to protect its citizens, and will continue the international battle against the report to ensure the legal protection of IDF officers, wherever they may be.”

The apartheid government is quickly forming a high level task force to exonerate itself and all its criminals. The Turkish government also took principled positions adding to the apartheid system delusions of denial and desperation (far better than positions of Arab countries like Jordan and Egypt and Israel is also panicking on this; imagine if Arab countries cut their ties) I think all of us should create grassroot committees all around the world to ensure accountability and to redouble our efforts on boycotts, divestments, and sanctions per the Palestinian Civil Society call to Action).

Women, elderly among those beaten with israeli rifle-butts in Hebron

Hebron – Ma’an – Ten Palestinians including a 70-year-old woman, seven women and two journalists were attacked by Israeli forces south of Hebron on Thursday, local sources said.

The incident began when Israeli soldiers and armored vehicles demolished a water reservoir belonging to Al-Baqa'a resident Mohammad Mustafa Jaber. Reports from the right-wing Israeli Arutz Sheva said the infrastructure was built by Oxfam and funded by the EU. Oxfam representatives said the claim was being investigated.

During the course of the demolition, the family said the bulldozer also destroyed irrigation networks used for crops.

In an attempt to stop the demolition, the family notified the press, and tried to block the way of the demolition crew as it approached the lands. Soldiers responded by beating the family members and two journalists who responded to the scene.

The two journalists, identified by medics as Abed Al-Hafith Al-Hashlamun, with the European Press Agency (EPA) and Najeh Al-Hashlamun said he works with a news agency called "ABA" were injured as they attempted to document the demolition and violent actions of the Israeli soldiers.

An eyewitness said soldiers "hit the residents and the journalists with the rifle butts, batons and feet." [boots]

The traditional choice for a kosher fish supper is chopped and boiled or chopped and fried. But we can reveal a new option — chopped and glow-in-the-dark.

Student Jessica Taylor was shocked to see her late-night gefilte fish snack light up the kitchen of her north London family home by glowing bright green and yellow. Her mother had bought the Hoffman’s product the previous day at Moshe’s Deli in Temple Fortune.

Joff Taylor, Jessica’s father, said: “My daughter came home at two or three in the morning and was starving. She did not put on the kitchen light, took out the fish and closed the fridge.
“The fish was glowing very brightly so she took it out of the pack and held it in her hands. When she put it down, her hands were glowing.”

Suspicious of Jessica’s claim, Mr Taylor and his wife asked her to recreate the scene the following evening. “We turned off the lights and she brought the fish out. We all stood there amazed. It was brighter than a glow-stick.”

The Taylors opted not to eat the fluorescent fish, which was not beyond its use-by date, and threw it away.
A Moshe’s spokesman said: “Sometimes the fish eat some phosphorus and it glows. It’s good for you. We’re not the manufacturer, we just sell it.” Geeta Cohli, a consultant to Hoffman’s Foods, said the company had received no complaints from customers. “The family should have kept the fish as evidence. We would have done some tests. I’m a qualified micro-biologist and I have never heard of this. I think it was an act of God.”

A Food Standards Agency spokeswoman attributed the glowing fish to luminescent bacteria which occur naturally in sea water. “Most luminescent bacteria are harmless but their presence may indicate that other, harmful bacteria are also present through cross-contamination with other uncooked products. We would advise that the fish should not be consumed.”
