Enjoy this Shrimp Dip Recipe from Fogelman at Your Super Bowl Party!

With the Super Bowl taking place this Sunday, you might find yourself searching for ideas on what kind of food to make. Whether you’re going to a friend’s house for the big game, or you’re throwing a small gathering at your Walden at Chatham Center apartment, everyone knows that the food is an important part of the evening. Instead of just opening a bag of chips and opening a jar of dip, why not make your own dip with this recipe from the Fogelman CARES Cookbook?

Enjoy a snack as you watch the big game!

Shrimp Dip

1 8-ounce package cream cheese
¾ cup mayonnaise
1 Can small shrimp, rinsed and drained
1 Tablespoon horseradish
1 Tablespoon Tabasco
2 Tablespoons grated onion

Soften cream cheese and mix with other ingredients. Add horseradish, or Tabasco to taste.

Chill several hours and serve with crackers.

Our Chili Cook-Off Was a Great Success!

Our Walden at Chatham Center Chili Cook-Off that took place Monday, January 16 was a huge success! It is always great to have our residents come together for fun community events like this and we truly appreciate all of the people who entered the contest and all of those who came out for the fun.

We had five entries from residents and two from our staff. While there were many great contenders in this competition such as Sassy Chili, Jason’s Kickin’ Chicken Chili, and Na Na Style Chili, the first place winner was the Venison Chili. While the secret recipe will not be revealed, you can try to make a variation of the winner with this recipe for Venison Chili from Emeril Lagasse on Food Network. And of course, what would a chili cook-off be without some good old fashioned corn bread muffins?

Our Chili Cook-Off was a great success!
