Good morning ladies! I have been so MIA on my blog due to my recent job search. Finally getting used to the new married life, studying, and on the job hunt has really been tough. On another note, I have teamed up with @bzarinacollection to show the recent items they have launched. One in particular that stood out to me was this beautiful "Sunburst" colored skirt. I adore this style skirt because you have so many unlimited outfit ideas to put together. I paired this skirt with a khaki colored blazer from Forever21 and camel heels also from Forever21. My Favorite Time of Year

Good Morning ladies!
So, I have been wanting to do this blogpost for a while now and thought this is the perfect time since it actually feels like Fall in Texas. Why is Fall my favorite season? Because I am super obsessed with all of its changes, such as pumpkin spice latte, the leaves changing colors, the beautiful colors of Fall such as camel and marsala, the delicious smelling candles, finally being able to layer and wear coats! All of these are some of my favorites, that I literally wait all year round for. I don't like the cold, I just like the breezy weather which is why I love Fall more than winter! In this look, I paired a white blazer with navy striped detailing on the sleeves with a peach/orange colored dress from forever21. If you have not checked out Forever21 Fall collection, please do because it is beautyyyyful! I paired this with my Celine bag and shoes are from Vince Camuto!

Good morning ladies! This weekend was amazing. I spent the weekend with my family and its crazy because I never thought I would have to leave my hometown of Lafayette, LA. Even though its a small town that doesn't really have much to offer, its what I call home. I went out to celebrate a cousins birthday and much more! Here's what I wore to my cousins outing.

One of my favorite things about summer is the summer heat.. Lol, sike. It has been a blazing 100 degrees for the past couple weeks in Houston, Texas with a crazy humidity index. For those of you that know me, I am obsessed with something called "Bubble Tea." For those not familiar with bubble tea here is a mini explanation; Bubble tea (also known as pearl milk tea, boba-milk tea) is a Taiwanese tea-based drink invented in Taichung. Most bubble tea recipes contain a tea base mixed/shaken with fruit or milk, to which chewy tapioca balls and/or fruit jellies are often added. The "bubble" refers to the foam created by shaking the tea, meaning "frothy/foamy" tea. Ice-blended versions are usually mixed with fruit or syrup, resulting in a slushy consistency. I went out to grab some delicious bubble tea from one of my all time favorite dessert place's in Houston called "Sweet."

Beach House Fun

Yayyy, finally getting a hold of the blogging thing after so long lol. I went out to a near by beach and enjoyed the day in these beautiful beach houses. Everything was so beautiful and I am so happy that I moved out of my small hometown! Finally exploring the big state of Texas with my husband and it feels so good!

Usually for outings like this I like to go for more of a relaxed comfortable outfit like I am wearing above. Maxi dress is from Forever21, shoes are from Target, and jewelery is from a beautiful website called Burdlife.

Hubby's Hobby

I remember one time someone telling me, "when you get married, everything changes."I responded what do you mean? They said, "you know all your interests/hobbies will now change because you are getting married now." Alhamdullilah that has not changed for me or my husband. One of his hobbies is pretty much hanging out with his 1973 Mach1. This is an old style mustang car, that can basically go as fast as you want it to go. I believe that each individual in this world has some type of talent, so why let it go to waste? We went out for a ride and watched the sunset together in a near by park area.

Ramadan Foods That You Should Consider

Salam ladies. Sorry, I have been so MIA on my blog due to planning a wedding/honeymoon, moving to a new city, and now studying to become a Registered Dietician, inshAllah. I do promise to update my blog with some of my recent looks and my wedding post too! Alhamdulillah this month has been great, from waking up eager to read the quran to praying taraweeh in the masjid.

With that being said, I think many of us start to get tired, or have no energy throughout the day (which is normal during fasting), but here are some tips for staying energetic and hydrated during ramadan.

Drink two glasses of water at suhoor and follow these tips.

So many of us probably think that Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) and Iftar (dinner) foods are the same. Surprisingly, they are not. When you wake up for Suhoor make sure to include foods high in Fiber. You need fiber every morning to provide energy for the long hours that you will be fasting. Why fiber? Fiber keeps you full and helps your gut to stay regular. The best sources of fiber are beans, whole grains, brown rice, nuts and seeds, berries, and pears.

Perfect examples of these Suhoor foods include:

· Fruits and vegetables

o Rich in fibre, fruits and vegetables are essentials during fasting as they increase the feeling of fullness and help prevent constipation.

· Rice and breads

o High-fibre carbohydrate foods like brown rice and wholemeal bread take longer to digest, helping to sustain energy levels longer.

· Meat and alternatives

o Skinless chicken, fish and low-fat dairy products are a great source of protein while limiting your fat intake. Furthermore, they help repair and build body tissue, and build up your immune system.

For many of us housewives, we find it can be a hassle sometimes to think of what to cook for Iftar or dinner.

Iftar is the time you replenish energy levels so every effort should be made to consume foods from all major food groups: fruit and vegetables, rice and alternatives, as well as meat and alternatives (which include dairy).

Fruit and vegetables
Traditionally during Ramadan, dates are eaten at the start of Iftar to symbolize the breaking of the fast. Besides being an excellent source of energy, dates are also rich in potassium – helping muscles and nerves to function well. But don’t consume too much as dates are high in sugar!
Rice and alternatives
Whole wheat bread, brown rice or wholegrain noodles are complex carbohydrates that provide the body with energy, fiber and minerals. Compared to sugary foods and desserts that burn quickly, they provide more stable and sustainable energy levels.
Meats and alternatives
Incorporate protein rich sources such as lean meat, skinless chicken, fish, eggs, legumes and low-fat dairy products.

To keep your meals healthy, limit the use of oil and opt for steaming, grilling, baking or shallow frying instead. When choosing oils, you should also pick those that are high in unsaturated fats such as canola oil and soybean oil.

Use this Ramadan to better yourself, with making smarter food decisions at meal time. By the time the fasting month ends, you will feel healthier, inshAllah.

As the Holy month (Ramadan) comes to an end, a traditional food to make is qatayef which is a pancake like pastry filled with sweet cheese or pecans with cinammon that are fried and made. This was a traditional food my mom made for us to welcome in Eid.

Good morning ladies!

Yesterday I was able to squeeze in visiting with one of my favs! We went and got bubble tea & walked around one of the nice areas in town. I received some "HouseofHayaa" scarves that I absolutely love because they are so light weight it's unbelievable! I literally felt like I had nothing on!

It was a great day, and I'm so happy I was able to catch up with friends! With 11 days until the wedding, I am really gonna miss all of my ladies! :( sigh.

So I know this is late but, I am super busy with everything from my wedding being in less than 5 weeks, graduating graduate school in less than a month, to working, rotating in the hospital, and keeping up with blogging. My Bridal shower

Good morning ladies! Sorry I haven't uploaded much, but I have been so busy with planning my bridal shower & wedding. The countdown has began with less than 2 months away! My shower was perfect, alhamdullilah! It was tiffany blue themed, & I had it in a really nice place that was already decorated with Audrey Hepburn and it had tiffany blue colors all over as well!

It was perfect, I'm happy I was able to celebrate with some of the best people! My dress was a Tony Bowls.

Hi everyone! I wanna start out by saying what's been up with the weather in the south? Whys it's so gloomy and rainy! I finally found a day to go out with my bestfriend and we went to a near by city to shop and eat. So I received these beautiful blush palazzo's from @fevrie and I was worried when I first got them because they were SO wide, lol. A lot of people have been mistaken then for a skirt, but they're pants! I decided to pair them with a fitted lace top and chunky wedges.

Hi lovelies! Yesterday's outfit consisted of a simple sweater paired with baggy pants! What's it with me and comfy pants lately?
