Also, I just tried to upload photos from both my camera and The Boyfriend’s camera, and neither worked. So basically, all forms of technology hate me.

….So, updates may be a little scarce for the next little bit. On a different note..

I graduated from high school last night!

Like I said, I don’t have any photos from my or The Boyfriend’s camera, but I did make my friend Jessica (Thank you Jessica, you are awesome) take an outfit shot for the blog. This is what I wore after I graduated and I was running around an ice cream shop (It was still open at 11pm. Awesome, right) with some friends.

I look like I’m on a MISSION in the second picture, so I had to share it. Also, I love it when skirts/dresses fly up.

The dress is actually a gigantic sheet of two-tiered fabric that I haven’t taken a good picture of.. Some day I will!

There’s this substitute teacher at my school who ALWAYS happens to run into me when I wear this dress. And EVERY time, she asks me where I got it and tells me that the print is from the village she’s from in India. EVERY SINGLE TIME. And by that I mean twice, which is a whole lot of times when you’re getting chased down the hallway by an excited Indian lady.

• Prom was so much fun!

• I had originally wanted finger waves a la Veronica Lake, but that didn’t pan out,  so I just had wavy hair. It looked close-ish enough to what I wanted to make me happy!

• These photos were taken with The Boyfriend’s mom’s brand spanking new Nikon D60; the quality makes me salivate.

• I had a serious 15-minute conversation about various aspects of Harry Potter today.

I feel the title of this post should the title of some catchy little song about marijuana. This one time my status on Facebook was like “Shen-Shen is gone” and The Boyfriend was all like, HAR HAR YOU KNOW THAT MEANS YOU’RE HIGH DON’T YOU! So now I’m completely under that impression. You can tell my life is really interesting because I talk about Facebook.

Tomorrow is my prom, and AHHH I’m so excited! (Minus the fact that I have a 305 point lab due tomorrow that I have yet to begin…) After prom, there’s post prom from midnight until like 6am? I’m not sure. And then at around noon on Saturday I leave for the beach; I’ll be driving back to school early Monday morning. So I will probably be back here Monday afternoon!

• When I was in LA last week, I left Netflix signed in on The Boyfriend’s computer.

• I checked my email once I got home, and noticed one from Netflix

• It said that I’d recently watched Voltron: Defender of the Universe: Vol. 5: Episode 71: “The Alliance Strikes Back”

• I confronted The Boyfriend and made fun of him for being such a dork

• He tried to make me feel like the weirdo, because “Everyone’s heard of it and he used to watch it all the time when he was a kid in China.”

Yea, sure you loser.

Last week, I was flying a little remote control helicopter at my Workplace (I dunno, can I name where I work? Don’t people get fired for that kind of stuff? And by people I mean Heather-of-Dooce? I’m not sure, but I value my $8.25/hr job, thank you very much) and this man walks in. He looked like one of those socially awkward lonely late-twenties-year-olds who still lives with his parents, so I was friendly and smiling since I didn’t think it could hurt and also since IT’S MY JOB. So he ended up staying for about an hour talking to me while I ran around trying to help everyone in the store, but when we closed he left and that was that.

Then, just this afternoon I was at my Workplace again and one of my managers - let’s call him, uh, Manager C - told me that he met my stalker. And I was like what? I have a stalker? And Manager C was like “Yea doode, some guy came in, saw me flying the helicopters, and told me that a girl named Chi-Chi flies them better. And I was like Chi-Chi? WTF? OH, you mean Shen-Shen. And then he asked if you were working that day. Or the next day. Or the day after that.”  And I was like haha okay  Manager C , because I thought he was joking.

And then later that evening, the same guy from last week came in and  Manager C runs up to me all wide-eyed and mouths THAT’S HIM THAT’S THE GUY. And I was like holy shit, I remember him. And then I ran back to the stock room but not before he saw me. And then apparently he asked if I was hiding and kept on glancing at the door to the stock room. But then he left when the day ended without a fuss, so I’m pretty sure he means no harm… He’s just creepy.

However, he’s bought about 6 helicopters since last week… Is that normal?

I’m so incredibly excited for my classes. I’m a business/cinematic arts major (there’s an awesome joint program for it at USC) and I honestly can’t think of something I’d be happier doing. And obviously, LA is the perfect place to be for a major like that. The only bummer is that I have 8am classes on Wed/Fri for the fall semester…. But I also have no classes on Monday!

And my GOD there are so many things outside of the classroom I want to do, and I already know that I’m probably going to have to cut down on some… I have a feeling that I’m going to run around signing up for anything that even interests me a little bit… and then quitting once I realize that I need at least a couple hours of sleep to function properly.

And the PEOPLE. I only met a handful of people at orientation, a lot of whom are in the same program as I am, and I don’t think I’ve ever been around people with as many similar interests. SO CRAZY.

The only downside I can think of are the COMPLETELY CRAPPY COMMUNITY BATHROOMS AND DORMS THAT SMELL LIKE FOOT. I can see myself descending into hand-sanitizing-and-ousting madness next year, since I’m completely convinced that it’s possible to get 5 different kinds of diseases just by LOOKING at the bacterial cesspool that is a college dorm room. Ick!
