If you have ever wondered what it would have been like to live in an occupied Britain then the images in this book will start to give you a good idea, both of the troops on the ground and the rules for the conduct of the people.

The book is a collection of pictures taken during the Nazi occupation of the Channel Islands, the only part of Britain to come under the Nazi rule, and was published in 1972. The book is in good clean condition with only slight ageing to the outer pages edges, it measures approx 16 x 25 cms ( 6 x 10").

Here's a rare chance to own a small but real piece of history.

'Over to you' was published by HMSO in 1943 and is a book containing an extract of a collection of over 900 eye witness accounts given by airmen on operations. It is an immediate insight into the airwar and the day to day operations by the accounts of these young airmen which were broadcast between March 1942 and May 1943 to let people know how their war was progressing.

The book measures approx 5 x 7" (12.5 x 18.5 cms), runs to 112 pages and is in good clean condition although the covers area little marked by age and use.

'Bomber Command Continues' is a wartime publication by HMSO (His Majesty's Stationery Office), published in 1942 and issued by the 'Ministry of Information' to let the public know how the bombing war was progressing and the fight was being taken to the German people.

It contains both eye witness accounts of missions and photographs, narratives on the progress of the war and even descriptions of the building of the bombers, all designed to inform and reassure people at what was a very dark time in their history..

This is a first world war training manual. It has 265 pages plus another 23 page catalogue of other military publications. It has 16 chapters and is divided into two parts the first being 'Training' which covers the principles of training, training , drills and field craft. The second part is entitled 'War' and covers attack, defence, delay and retirements as well as tactics for fighting in close country, woods an villages, machine guns and logistics. There are two appendices one of which deals with bayonet fighting. Included are eighteen illustrated pages one of which is a two page pull out. The book mesures 4.1/4 by 5.1/4 or 105mm by 135mm approx. It is in very good condition, the cloth hardback shows a little wear to the edges the pages are clean and intact.
