TAG Heuer has made Monaco V4 Titanium not only visually stunning but incorporated elements of titanium, ruthenium and ceramic to enhance its charming visual factor. Visible on the dial of watch is a high resistant black ruthenium coating on the back plate and the Côtes de Genève decorated bridges gives it more of a visually textural composition.

Ceramic runs along the sides of the watch breaking up the watch’s massive case. Titanium, Grade 5, is generously used in the construction of the case, hour and minute markers, the small second hand at 4 o’clock, the thermo-lacquered crown at 3 o’clock, and the strap’s folding buckle. David Yurman known for his notable cable design bracelet, and the late Carroll Shelby founder of Shelby American united to collaborate on a first limited edition inspirational timepiece collection that commemorates both the 50th anniversary of the American Shelby brand along with its re-introduction of its newest Shelby 1000 Mustang vehicle bearing the famous Cobra insignia on its grill.

This is David Yurmans’ first collaborative limited edition sports timepiece collection. The Revolution Shelby 1000 watch gives select Shelby 1000 enthusiasts an exhilarating time performance test drive into the historical worldwide auto racing circuit of the 60s and early 70s.

The Revolution line was six years in concept and development stages, with the past three years being essential to actual product implementation including Carroll Shelby’s active involvement up until his death. The planned distribution of the watches is November 2012, with the black PVD version of Revolution Shelby 1000 in a limited edition of 150 pieces, and the stainless steel edition having an unknown specified release amount within a year.

The thick rubber strap prevents the watch from becoming too uncomfortable. In spite of being based off of a tank, the watch isn’t very bulky, though the protruding hours dial may be distracting to some.
