Cathy Abercrombie, graduated from a Meriden PLTI program and went on to become a State Representative known for advancing children's issues. PLTI programs in Greenwich and Norwalk have sparked graduates to run for and win seats on their local Board of Education. Involvement with the Torrington Early Childhood Collaborative (TECC) provided the support parents needed to launch their idea to provide back-to-school clothes and supplies for hundreds of families in their community. What's your story? How has the Discovery work in your community made a difference for parents? The Stone Soup planning committee would like to hear about accomplishments that really made the difference in your community. Share your story with Anita Ford Saunders by contacting her at afs@anitafordsaunders.com or by phone at 860-343-8555 (O) or 860-690-5559 (C).
