Organizations are finally beginning to realize that soft skills are just as important as technical skills and therefore, are placing more emphasis on developing and rewarding effective leaders. One important skill for leaders to master is the ability to recruit high-potential talent into the organization.

The responsibility of recruiting these candidates doesn’t fall solely on the shoulders of your recruiter. There are many ways that you can enhance their efforts to attract the most sought after candidates. Recruiting shouldn’t be reactive – performed only when you have an opening on your team. It should be an ongoing activity so that your pipeline of candidates is full and you can start interviewing shortly after a need has been established. Follow these tips to make the most of your efforts:

1.Look to your existing employees for a promotional opportunity, first. You should always look within the organization before you consider external candidates. Reward employees who are actively developing their skills and are loyal to the company. Is there someone who is ready to take on new responsibilities?

2.If you are an active member of your professional community, start building a rapport with prospective candidates. Recruiting is a lot like marketing – the more positive contact you have with prospects, the more receptive they will be to talking to you about making a move to your organization. Keep in contact with those you would like to have on your team one day.

3.Build a reputation as a strong leader. This is one of those times when you want your reputation to precede you. If you are known for being a great leader, candidates will want to work for you. Year after year, “lack of opportunity” is cited as one of the main reasons for employee turnover. Judicious candidates know that their manager can make or break that opportunity and they make their decisions accordingly.

4.Don’t be intimidated by dynamic, high-potential candidates. I’ve seen many hiring managers pass over candidates because they were intimidated by their ambition. Instead of worrying about someone taking over your job (if this is an issue, you’ve got bigger problems to worry about), think about who could potentially replace you when you move on to a bigger role.

5.Avoid the temptation of hiring someone just like you. It’s great when you have a connection with a candidate, but try to remember that you aren’t hiring someone to be your friend. Instead, look for someone who will complement your team’s strengths and weaknesses.

6.Select candidates who are passionate about their work. Passion is difficult to ascertain during an interview. However, there are signs you can look for and questions you can ask to better determine if this is someone who is passionate about their work.

• Does their education and work history consist of positions that build on each other, demonstrating knowledge in their field and a desire for growth? Or, have they bounced around with little direction?

• Are they actively involved in their professional community? Do they take advantage of opportunities to develop new skills?

• Find out why they chose to get into this particular line of work.

• Make a note of their specific professional goals. “To be working in a position that utilizes my skills or to be a manager” doesn’t cut it. Is it just about the money or are they looking for growth or meaning in their work?

• Find out what aspect of their job they enjoy most.

7.Stop settling for mediocrity. Don’t be afraid to hold off on making a selection decision until you have the right candidate. Get creative in the way you manage your employee shortage. Consider redistributing the duties on your team and hiring a temporary administrative employee to take up the slack. This is a great time for your employees gain additional experience.

Investigate YTB with Dr. Bob Seligman, PhD (& RTA)

PhD in Economics (Oxford) & MBA in Finance (Harvard)
Former Senior VP of Corporate Development for Fox, Inc.
Reported Directly to Billionaire Barry Diller (Owner / CEO of Expedia, Inc.)

This is an opportunity to hear what a new, peer RTA found as a prospective business owner in YTB following his exhaustive investigation that only a few in this country would have even known how to do. Companies have been downsizing, rightsizing and capsizing for some time now, and they continue to do so-more now than ever before. Even the federal and state governments are getting into the act with layoff's and attrition management of jobs. In addition to all this uncertainty and mutual lack of loyalty between companies and employees, even the workers who do keep their jobs have no guarantee of promotions due to the shrinking number of management positions. If all this isn't bad enough, under recent tax laws employees are limited more than ever with limits and thresholds for their employee deductions and higher social security limits. The result is more couples working harder than ever before and, on many occasions, working more than one job. It is now almost impossible to have only one job in the family and live the standard of life called survival without the need for these additional incomes.

There are many reasons why so many people are favoring home-based business over the traditional business. There is no commute (unless of course you have a really big home and your office is some 45 seconds away from your bedroom), no boss, little if any chance of lawsuits, much lower overhead, no employees (or very few), and far fewer government restrictions. In fact, many of the laws within traditional business don't apply to small firms with few or no employees. It is for these reasons, that 95% of home-based businesses succeed in their first year and achieve an average income of $50k per year with many earning much more.

There are basically two sets of tax laws in this country. One is for employees, and it allows deductions for individual retirement accounts, 401k (s), interest and property taxes on your home and charity. Then there are the laws for home-based business people who conduct their business either fulltime or part-time. They can deduct with proper documentation, their house, their spouse, and even children (by hiring them), their business vacations, their cars, and their food for colleagues. They can also set up a pension plan that makes any government plan seem paltry by comparison.

In addition to all the benefits mentioned above, Congress will subsidize you while you are growing your home-based business. If your home-based business produces a tax loss in the first year or so, you can use that tax loss against any other income you may have. It can be used against wages earned as an employee, dividends, pensions, or interest income or you can use the loss against your spouse's earnings if you file a joint return.

If the tax loss exceeds all your income for this year, no problem. You can carry back the loss two years and get a refund from the IRS for up to the last two years of income tax paid, or you can carry over the loss twenty years. You are reading this right, you can off-set up to 20 years of income!

Research has constantly shown that it is rarely the business that determines success or failure. It is usually the business owner. Why does one person succeed and another one fail at the same business? Easy, two simple words, KNOWLEDGE and ACTION. Some people want the benefits of having and running their own business, but they don't take action. The result is that the business fails. Duplicating the strategy and practices of others is a much quicker and effective method of bringing success to this new venture of yours.

It is known as modeling. Modeling is simply learning what other successful people have done to achieve success in a specific area of expertise, and then by doing the same thing. With modeling, you literally leverage your own learning with the collective years of learning through experience of many others. Modeling the success of others saves both time and money and reduces frustration and stress.

Therefore the light at the end of the tunnel, for you and millions of others today, is the financial opportunity that starting your own business offers. If you have one going already, then make sure you are enjoying the main financial advantages to which your smart decision choice entitles you. The tax advantages alone can make a home-based business the single best financial move you could ever have made. Welcome to YTB International your complementary decision to your home-based business.

Why People Must Own a Home Based Business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reasons people should own their own Home Based Business must become part of your presentation, you must believe in it, you must have it running through your body and people have to feel you are their to help them.

Top 15 Silliest Questions Asked by Tourists

Ever ask a stupid question and later pray that no one would remember your verbal slip-up? Well, no such luck, at least not in the travel industry, where professionals seemingly have an extended memory just for the crazy things tourists ask. The travel economic impact statistics presented in the report include travelers’ expenditures, as well as travel-generated employment, payroll income and tax revenues for the nation, each of the 50 states and Washington, DC. The report clearly demonstrates that travel and tourism is one of the United States’ largest industries and employers. The travel and tourism industry is comprised of a number of sectors including transportation, lodging, foodservices, entertainment and retail. In 2006, domestic and international travelers spent $700 billion in the U.S. This generated 7.5 million jobs, $178.1 billion in payroll income, and $109.9 billion in tax revenues for federal, state and local governments. It reminds me of something my mentor use to tell me....."No matter how hard you try, you can still only eat an elephant one bite at a time"

This is a story about an entrepreneurial woman - an old friend of mine who 19 years ago was just another soul looking for something of her own. It all started with her first 5 customers...

"You know Kim, when I was first approached about this business, I had been looking for something of my own for a few years already. Back then, my husband was a carpenter, and I wanted to do something, too. I had started an aerobics studio, a hair salon, and then a dog grooming kennel. They all went down the tubes, and we spent most of our savings.

"One day an acquaintance stopped by to show us a little water filter gizmo you could put on sink, and said we could earn $30 for each one we sold. Since my husband remodeled kitchens sometimes, and we didn't especially like our drinking water that much, this seemed like a pretty good thing to try. We figured I could set up appointments, and if we sold one per week, we'd add $150 to our monthly income. That sounded good to us. Well, you just cannot imagine our excitement when he brought in an extra $150 that first month. Five sales!"

A few months later it got to almost $500 a month and we thought, 'This is it! We've died and gone to heaven.' I started setting up appointments for myself to show the units too. We were so giddy our friends asked us what was going on. My husband told a couple of the guys- a plumber he worked with and another contractor, and they decided to do it too. We were just so tickled to see a little income from some of THEIR sales, as well...

"It's been 19 years now, and so much has happened with our business. We've earned $15 million over these past years, and we still find it hard to believe...

"Oh and let me tell you something, Kim. If the guy who came to our house that first time had told us we'd be earning $10k/mo we'd NEVER have signed up. We'd have thrown him out for taking us for fools. We've never been much for telling big stories - we believed a couple of hundred dollars was reasonable to expect, and so we did it. It just grew from there. On some days, we still can't believe it." -as told to Kim by Sue Burdick.

Sue is very big banana in the industry today. But 19 years ago? Many would have walked right by her in their search for a 'big hitter.' After all, she just wanted a little something of her own.

It all started with a few customers in her community who had the same problem she did - the water didn't taste very good and they all could use a little more income.

She helped them solve those problems - the way she had done for herself.

Why I selected YTB

When I decided to start my own home based travel business, I researched what’s hot and what’s not. Every home business guru said the same thing. “Avoid any home business that sells products that can be bought from a retail source.” Keep in mind that this statement does not include home based businesses that sell services, because service based home businesses win on price due to low overhead costs.

For example, vitamins, supplements, weight reducing potions, health drinks, water filters, fish oil supplements, energy pills and powders, relaxant products, and cleaning products all have one thing in common. They can all be bought at Wal Mart and purchased at a much cheaper price than you can sell through a MLM home based business. Secondly, many of these home based businesses are shipping $50 per month of these products to customers that can’t even begin to use up that kind of inventory. After a few months, they cancel their orders with you, and resume their traditional shopping habits at retail outlets, where they can buy only what they need at a cheaper price.

To make things worse, supermarkets and retail chains have entire isles dedicated to these types of consumable products. Furthermore, if you ask the pharmacist you will learn that most of the supplements have zero effect as to their claims and aren’t FDA approved. Think about it: If one could take a pill to lose weight that really worked, obesity would not be at the pandemic level it is at today.

With YTB Travel, I selected a service based online travel business that is more cost effective because YTB does not spend money on advertising. Especially television advertising. Secondly, people are now accustomed to buying travel with an online travel agency and this is why the travel industry is the most successful ecommerce niche on the Internet. Even better, the travel industry is growing at a 25% faster clip than the rest of the world economy, so I thought this would be a safe bet.

If you are thinking about starting your own home based business, take these issues into serious consideration. Being an online travel agent and having an online travel agency is easy to start, run and is fully supported by YTB travel professionals. Their 1-800 number is always available for any customer to call for any special requests, or unique issues. Otherwise, people can simply book travel through your travel biz with ease and unassisted.

Travel Business for 2008?

The US economic indicators for 2008 show that the travel industry will continue to grow at a linear clip…. mainly due to the increase in the US population. Other contributing factors include the largest segment of the US society, the baby boomers, retiring with the firm objective of traveling on a regular basis. In addition, business travel and travel for leisure won’t be as effected by the predicted down turn in the general economy when compared to most other industries.

Since a minimum of 90 million people plan to book travel online in 2008, it is logical to consider having an online travel business. The first step is to become a home based travel agent . If you want to maximize your income potential, carefully select a travel mlm company for your travel biz. In this way, you not only earn revenue directly from your travel business, but also earn over ride commissions from others that you have recruited into the YTB Travel Biz.

YTB provides a solid travel service offering that will accomodate any travel need. In addition, YTB provides flower delivery, and entertainment booking services. What’s unique is that none of these products or services need to be sold, because customers are going to buy them anyway. For example, I don’t have to convince someone to take a business trip next week, send flowers on their anniversary or go to a sporting event or concert. Why?…they plan to do these things anyway…The real good news is that they are booking these events through my YTB web site. On the other hand, one can readily say that other home based businesses that promote vitamins, cosmetics, legal services and so forth don’t quite work this way. Keep these thoughts in mind if you are looking to start a new home based business.

Shut Up and Sell!!!

Contrary to popular belief, to be a successful salesperson, it doesn't matter how much you know about your product or service. It also doesn't matter how much of an industry expert you are. It doesn't even matter how great your mother thinks you are. The only thing that really matters to be successful in selling is your ability to shut-up and listen. On numerous occasions, everyone in sales has heard how important it is to get the customer talking, so it's imperative that they have an arsenal of great questions to ask. Despite trying to follow this guideline, every salesperson seems to overstate the amount of time they believe they allow the customer to talk. Therefore, salespeople need to take a step back and consider their sales presentation.

To talk less means you have to ask questions that truly engage the customer. However, this doesn't mean you need to develop complex questions. Instead, the best tactic is to ask shorter ones. Long questions tend to result in short answers, while short questions will generally result in long answers. An example of a great short question is, "Why?" In my opinion, there isn't a better follow-up question you can ask after the customer has shared with you some information. Consider how your customers would respond to other short examples like, "Can you elaborate on that?" and "Could you explain more?" These shorter questions elicit detailed responses and that's just what you want. On the other hand, asking complex questions often tends to perplex customers. Because they are not sure what you are looking for, they respond with the universal answer representing total confusion, "What did you say?" Questions should not be your means of showing your customers that you are an expert. Save that for your statements.

When preparing your sales presentation, a guideline I subscribe to is to limit yourself from talking for more than 20 seconds at a time without asking a question. The question you ask should be one directed at the comments you just made. By doing so, you're checking with the customer to see if they understood what you just shared with them. Again, this is something many salespeople overlook. They get caught up in sharing with the customer their expertise and the features of their product or service and forget all about what the customer is thinking. Even if your product or service requires a complex presentation, you should still follow this rule. Whether you're selling software, high value medical equipment, or technical tools, it's essential to check your clients understanding by asking a question every 20 seconds. Your goal on any sales call is to talk only 20% of the time. To help ensure that this takes place, you have to plan ahead. Before you start developing your sales presentation, create your list of questions. This is contrary to the pattern of most salespeople who often spend a substantial portion of their time developing their presentation and, at the last minute, develop their list of questions.

Consider that if you're expecting to have a 20 minute presentation, you should have 40 questions (2 questions per minute). Even though you may not use all 40, you'll definitely be more prepared. In addition, you'll be able to pick and choose which ones you want to ask. If you're following the rule of asking short questions, you'll ensure that the customer is doing most of the talking. You'll learn valuable information that will help you better understand the customer's needs. If you want to move your questioning process to the next level, make half of the questions you ask be ones that help the customer see and feel the pain they have. By doing so, they will be much more open to receiving your solution. For example, if you're selling computer back-up systems, you might ask, "Can you explain to me what happens when data is lost?" This short, concise question is designed to get the customer thinking about the risks they face. Furthermore, the beauty of this type of question is that no matter what the customer's response is, some good follow-up questions will naturally arise. By adhering to these guidelines, you will be able to see dramatic results in the number of sales you are able to close. As simple as it sounds, the more you shut up, the more you'll sell. And, the easiest way to achieve this goal is by asking more, short questions. So, shut up and sell!

Great Time Management Advice from the Sales Dog

I recently read an article put out by salesdog.com which has prompted me to take corrective action in my day to day activities. It's a little late to call it a new years resolution, so call it what you will, just apply these words of wisdom to your own life and take notice on how many more hours in the day you are productive........

Don't Lose Another Minute

The dawn of a new year reminds us that time waits for no Salesdog. We've excerpted these timely tips from a chapter by Art Sobczak in Top Dog Sales Secrets. Take Art's advice to heart and you're sure to keep on track this year.

Have you ever felt like you could use a few more hours in the day? Welcome to the club! I think most of us would agree we could sell more if we only had more time-or more realistically, better control of our time. After all, we can't manage time any more than we can manage the weather. We can only control what we do with our time, to squeeze more productivity from every day. For salespeople, good time management starts with two fundamental strategies to prevent you from spinning your wheels, and allow you to spend more time doing what you do best: selling.

• Do the important stuff first. Do the stuff you get paid to do! Make the critical calls and work on the larger proposals first. Tackle the more difficult projects early, before the inevitable little annoyances begin chipping away at you.

• Police interruptions. Don't let the constant arrival of email messages, voicemail messages or postal mail interrupt you. Instead, discipline yourself to manage these interruptions at predetermined times of the day. When reviewing email and voice messages, identify the items needing immediate attention and add them to your master "To Do" list. The others can be left for later, or trashed.
On a tactical level, Dan Wallace wrote an article called "Do Twice as Much in Half the Time" in Home Office Computing magazine. I've excerpted and adapted the ideas that apply to sales.

• Ask for the first appointment of the day. On the phone or in person, the first appointment of the day is the least likely to start late.

• Update your contact management program and keep it current. Place a printout of your accounts/prospects by the phone. When mail comes back marked "Return to Sender" or you find someone has moved on, make manual corrections to the printout. Then, when you are on terminal hold with someone, update the list on your computer.

• Rearrange your workspace. Use the "near-far" rule. Keep things you use frequently at arm's length, and things you don't use often out of the way. If piles clutter your desk, invest in some shelves. If you're right-handed, place the phone on your left, and keep a pad and pencil nearby. If you're a lefty, do the opposite.

• Police your voice mail. When you accumulate a voicemail backlog, write or type the messages, then delete them. This eliminates scrolling through previously-heard messages the next time you check your system.

• Return calls. Use the lunch hour to return calls requiring only a short answer, or those in which you're asking a simple question. Many people will be away from their desks, and you'll reach voicemail.

• Discourage interruptions. If you have an office, stick a sign on the door that says, "Important sales call in progress." Or hang one on your cubicle that reads, "Door closed."

Finally, here are some personal tips I've accumulated over the years to help squeeze more productivity out of every day:

• Flush your account files. I am astounded by the amount of rubbish residing in many reps' follow-up files. Read the skimpy account notes, and you see a long list of comments like, "Not ready now, check back in six weeks." Simple math tells you the time spent trying to push a two-ton rock uphill would be better invested looking for someone with whom you have a chance. Set an objective for a decision of any type on your next contact with these people. Ask, "When do you feel you'll move forward with a purchase?" You'll save time on your calls, and the results will be more pleasing.

• Know when and how to say "no." Far too many sales reps feel obligated to jump through hoops for prospects who merely want to pick their brains, or obtain obscure product information. They comply without even knowing if they'll get something in return! Before investing inordinate amounts of time with prospects, be certain there is a potential payoff. Don't be afraid to say, "I'll be happy to do this for you. I assume you want it because this is something you're interested in, and we'll be working together on a purchase?"

• Help people get to the point. Those who just want to chitchat with you are pickpockets. You would not let them snatch a $20 bill off your desk; why let them do this with your time? Whether they're customers, peers or vendors, politely help them explain the reason they are calling by asking, "So how may I assist you?" or, "What can I do for you?" Use the past tense; signify the end of a call by saying, "It's really been great speaking with you." or, "I'm glad we had the chance to talk."

• Reschedule personal interruptions. When friends call to chat, let them know you're busy, but want to speak with them. "Mike, great to hear from you! I want to hear all about your vacation in North Dakota. I've got some business calls I need to make, so what's the best time for me to call you back tonight?"

• Use "Power Blocking." Set aside blocks of time (45 minutes) for specific activities, and do nothing else during those times. For example, you might have two blocks of prospecting, and three blocks for follow-up calls during the day. This keeps you from scattering your attention in too many unproductive directions.

• Take the "Why am I doing this?" test. When engaged in a questionable activity-such as stuffing envelopes, or writing a proposal to a marginal prospect-ask yourself why you are doing it. If you can't honestly say it is making (or saving) you or the company money, delegate it to someone else.

• Analyze and adjust your work hours. You might be physically present for eight hours, but how much do you get done during that time? Perhaps by coming in a half-hour earlier, you could accomplish in that time what would normally take two hours later in the day. You'd be squeezing out another ten hours of production each week!

• Never write memos or email again. Got something important to say to someone internally? Say it as you walk by their desk. Or call them, for goodness sakes! I realize some situations require covering your behind with a written record, but most memos simply waste your precious time.

• Go public with your intentions. If you must do something for someone else, commit to completing it by a specific time. For example, "I'll have that price quote to you by two o'clock." This forces you to complete the task on time and avoid procrastination.

• Turn wait time into productive time. Think of all the places you wait: airports, doctors' offices, the mechanic's shop. Carry a file of reading or light paperwork you can get done during those down times. This will ease the frustration of waiting, make the time productive, and free up your work time for more important tasks.

If you think it's stupid to waste money, it's even more foolish to waste time. You can always make more money, but not even Bill Gates can buy more time. The bottom line is: if you want to get more done, you will. YTB is taking the industry by storm!!
By combining an advantage-rich, home-based business (built around the Internet) with an extremely lucrative (and copyrighted) compensation plan, YTB has become "The Choice" for thousands of opportunity seekers. In today's marketplace, myriads of companies seek your time and attention, each claiming that their opportunity is the best.
By combining the powerful information handling capability of the Internet with the world’s most dynamic product (TRAVEL) and the personal touch of independent, home-based business people, YTB has joined these three trends together in a flawless combination. The Internet is opening the doors to the riches of travel as never before. By utilizing our simple strategies and proven techniques we can show you how to leverage your time to generate a residual income 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What is a YTB Independent Marketing Representative?

A person who has signed an Independent Marketing Representative agreement with yourTravelBiz.com is called a Representative. (We will use the term “Rep” from now on).
They can sell On-Line Travel Agencies, enroll RTAs, and sponsor other Reps.
They earn commission on personal On-Line Travel Agency sales.
They can earn overrides on On-Line Travel Agency sales made by Reps on their teams.
They do not receive travel credentials and cannot sell travel. Unless fully contracted with YTB Travel Network

What is a YTB Travel Network Referring Travel Agent?

A Referring Travel Agent (RTA) is a person who has purchased an On-Line Travel Agency in an agreement with YTB Travel Network and pays the $49.95 monthly fee for the personalized website and its “Back Office”. (We will use the term “RTA” from now on). RTA’s simply refer people to their website (On-line Travel Agency) to book travel and can earn commissions on travel booked through their personalized site or by direct referral.
Building a team of Reps is more easily accomplished if you understand the pre-determined structure provided by YTB. There are 3 total teams as defined below:

-The “1st Team”
-The “PowerTeam”
-The “DreamTeam”

What is Your 1st Team?

Your 1st Team is made up of personally sponsored Reps plus the Reps they sponsor and so on. When you are qualified to override by having 4 active personally enrolled On-Line Travel Agencies (RTAs) (your own On-Line Travel Agency can count as one), you will earn a 50% match of the commissions earned by all personally sponsored 1st Team Reps. Your 1st Team is considered complete when you:

-Personally sponsor 3 or more Reps and
-Have 6 active RTAs enrolled (On-line Travel Agencies paying $49.95 monthly fee) by you and/or your 1st Team Reps

What is the PowerTeam?

Once your 1st Team is complete, you qualify to start your PowerTeam with additional personally sponsored Reps. Your PowerTeam includes the 1st Team of every Rep in your PowerTeam through infinity.
Example: Mary qualifies to start her PowerTeam and personally sponsors Eric. Eric’s personally sponsored 1st Team members are Josh, Sarah, and Amy who personally sponsor at least 3 Reps each (9 total). If those 9 each personally sponsor 3 Reps, there would be 27 additional reps in Mary’s PowerTeam. All 40 of these Reps, and ALL additional Reps sponsored into subsequent 1st Teams, are in Mary’s PowerTeam (this continues through Infinity).
Remember, the 1st Team of every Rep in your Power Team is not complete until there are 3 or more personally sponsored Reps and a total of 6 active On-Line Travel Agencies (RTAs paying the $49.95 monthly fee) sold by them and their 1st Team Reps. Every sale that is made by any of these 1st Team Reps is considered a PowerTeam sale for you and commissionable to you.

What is the DreamTeam?

When one of your PowerTeam Reps (regardless of depth) starts a PowerTeam, that PowerTeam becomes a 1st Generation DreamTeam to you. When a 1st Generation DreamTeam Rep starts a PowerTeam (regardless of depth), that PowerTeam becomes a 2nd Generation DreamTeam to you. This continues through six (6) generations of PowerTeams and comprises your DreamTeam.

When Are Commissions Paid?

Every new sale (On-line Travel Agency) that is entered into the system by 12 (Midnight) Eastern Time Zone on Thursday will be paid Friday of the following week. This includes $50 Direct Sale Commissions, $50 PowerTeam Commissions, all DreamTeam Commissions, the 50% Match of your personally sponsored Rep’s Commissions and the $1000 LeaderShip bonuses. Residual commission is paid on the 20th of the following month.

What Are Direct Sale Commissions?

Reps earn $50 for every personal On-Line Travel Agency sale they make regardless of whether or not they are qualified to override. Once they have qualified to start their PowerTeam, they also receive the $50 PowerTeam Commission (if qualified to override) on all additional personal On-Line Travel Agency sales.

How Do I Qualify to Override?

You qualify to earn override compensation by making 4 personal On-line travel Agency sales and your own purchase can be counted as one. You will continue to be qualified as long as you maintain at least 4 personally sold YTBnet Subscribers. A YTBnet Subscriber is an RTA who is paying the $49.95 monthly fee for their On-line Travel Agency. Once you are qualified to override, you will earn a 50% Match of the commissions earned by the personally sponsored Reps in your 1st Team.

What is the 50% Match?

This is calculated by multiplying the commissions earned by your personally sponsored Reps by 50%. If one of your personally sponsored Reps earns $1,000, another earns $2,000 and a third earns $5,000 in commissions ($8,000 total), then your 50% Match would be $4,000. The 50% Match includes Direct Sale Commission, PowerTeam Commission, DreamTeam Commission and all Residual Commission. The Leadership Bonus, Dream Bonus, and 50% Match are not included. Home-based travel sellers are the fastest growing segment of the travel agency community. With the large and mid-sized companies laying off people and cutting back, corporate America is no longer a stable place to be. Everyone is looking for a home-based business that can be the high performance vehicle that takes them into the future along with big time savings in tax advantages. YTB is going to be YOUR home-based business vehicle!

How Do I Get Paid on My PowerTeam?

-$50 PowerTeam Commission — You earn $50 on ALL On-Line Travel Agency (RTA) sales made by Reps in your PowerTeam.

-$100 on personal On-Line Travel Agency sales — You receive the $50 PowerTeam
Commission in addition to the $50 Direct Sale Commission on all new personal sales once you have qualified to start your PowerTeam.

-50% Match — You earn a 50% match on the commissions earned by personally sponsored PowerTeam Reps. If they make a personal On-Line Travel Agency sale and earn $50 Direct Sale Commission, you earn a 50% Match of $25 plus the $50 PowerTeam Commission for a total of $75.

-4% PowerTeam Residual — RTAs pay $49.95 per month for their On-Line Travel Agency and business building tools. The PowerTeam Leader who receives the initial $50 PowerTeam Commission will also receive a 4% residual commission ($2) on all On-Line Travel Agency renewals of $49.95.

-Bonuses — see YTB LeaderShip and Dream Bonuses.

Note: You must be qualified to override in order to receive any of the PowerTeam Commissions, Residuals, or Bonuses described above.

How Do I Get Paid on My DreamTeam?

1st Generation — Your DreamTeam begins when a Rep in your PowerTeam, regardless of who sponsored them, qualifies to start their PowerTeam. That PowerTeam becomes your 1st Generation DreamTeam and you earn $30 on new On-line Travel Agency sales made by those Reps (and their PowerTeam) plus 4% Residual ($2) commission on all On-Line Travel Agency renewals of $49.95. If the PowerTeam Leader that starts your 1st Generation DreamTeam is also personally sponsored, you qualify to receive a 50% Match of their $50 PowerTeam Commission ($25) plus your $30 DreamTeam Commission, or a total of $55.

2nd Generation — When a Rep in your 1st Generation Dream Team qualifies to start their own PowerTeam, their PowerTeam becomes your 2nd Generation DreamTeam. You earn $20 on new sales made by those Reps (and their PowerTeams) plus 4% Residual ($2) commission on all On-Line Travel Agency renewals of $49.95.

3rd Generation — 3rd Generation DreamTeams are started when a 2nd Generation DreamTeam Rep qualifies to start their own PowerTeam. You earn $10 on new sales made by those Reps plus 4% Residual ($2) commission on all On-Line Travel Agency renewals of $49.95.

4th, 5th & 6th Generation — yourTravelBiz.com has a total of 6 Generations of DreamTeams that pay overrides. On your 4th, 5th and 6th Generation DreamTeams you earn $5 on all new sales plus 2% Residual ($1) commission on all On-Line Travel Agency renewals of $49.95.Note: You must be qualified to override in order to receive any of the DreamTeam Commissions and Residuals described above. There can be multiple PowerTeams in each DreamTeam Generation.

How Do I Qualify for the Leadership Bonus?

Once you qualify to start your PowerTeam, you have unlimited time to earn your $1,000 Leadership Bonuses. The first is earned when the total active On-Line Travel Agencies sold by your PowerTeam reaches 6 or more at the end of any weekly pay cycle (12 Midnight Thursday Eastern Time Zone). LeaderShip Bonuses will be paid WEEKLY on Friday of the following week for any Pay Cycle where the Active PowerTeam Enrolled RTA total reaches 6, 12, 18, 24 or 30. There is NO TIME LIMIT to receive these bonuses. Once you accumulate 30 Active PowerTeam Enrolled RTAs you start back at zero and receive the bonuses when your Active PowerTeam Enrolled RTAs again reaches 6, 12, 18, 24 and 30.

Example:If on midnight (EST) May 6, 2004 (end of Pay Cycle) you have 5 Active PowerTeam Enrolled RTAs, then on the following Friday (May 14, 2004) you would receive a PowerTeam Commission of $250 (but no Bonus). If in the following Pay Cycle that begins Friday, May 7, 2004 and ends at midnight (EST) on May 13, 2004, you add 7 sales which brings your Active PowerTeam Enrolled RTA total to 12, then the following Friday (May 21, 2004) you would receive a PowerTeam Commission of $350 plus TWO $1,000 LeaderShip Bonuses for a total of $2,350 just from your PowerTeam! (One for each six RTAs)

How Do I Earn the $10,000 Dream Bonus?

When there are a total of 100 active PowerTeam enrolled RTAs, you earn the $10,000 bonus. When surveyed, 96% of people between the ages of 25 and 44 said they wanted to have their own business, but they just didn’t know how to get started! Small and home-based businesses are the fastest growing segment of the U.S. economy. Home-based travel sellers are the fastest growing segment of the travel agency community. YTB is going to be YOUR home-based business vehicle!

3) The Internet and e-Commerce!The Internet is the fastest growth technology in the history of the world. Every three seconds a new person goes online Consumers spent over $37 BILLION on travel web sites in 2003, up from $30.8 billion in 2002. Consumers spent $54 billion in 2004 and an estimated $62 billion in 2005. Booking of travel online is perhaps the most successful niche of all the world’s e-commerce efforts. Consumers use the Internet to become better informed, save time, and save money. Online travel hasonly scratched the surface of what will become a transformed marketplace in the next few years. Use of the Internet to actually book travel continues to increase, with more than 80 millions Americans booking online travel each year. At first glance that might seem a little weird. I thought MLM’s were only allowed to sell water purifiers and vitamins. Well if you think about it, using the network marketing business model to leverage online travel is a brilliant decision. Company’s like Travelocity and Expedia spend millions of dollars every day to market their services. There is absolutely no way YTB could compete with these companies unless they had some very very very serious investors. Great thing is, they don’t have to. If someone in your family was a travel agent would you book through them if their prices were the competitive? How about cheaper? How about if it wasn’t a family member but a close friend? It’s just that simple.
Furthermore, by not spending millions of dollars on advertising, YTB is also able to pass those savings on to the consumers and distributors. The recruitment side of the compensation plan is also extremely lucrative, bringing hundreds of new Reps into the company every day. So is this business model working? The modest answer is YES: YTB sold $1B in travel last year and is currently the highest travel revenue producer for Carnival cruises. We’re just getting started. Your Travel Business will become the biggest travel company in the world. Do you want to be part of it?

YTB- The Ultimate Home Based Business

You're about to discover the fastest-growing home based business and fastest growing travel company in the world.
