This Sunday we examine what it looks like to allow God to reform our habits and imagine how we can be a force for God in our community and around the world.

God please renovate my heart, renew my mind, reform my habits so I can revolutionize Your world.  That is my prayer for 2012 and I hope it will be yours as well.  Spend time time praying and dreaming about what God wants to have happen in 2012, then join us this Sunday as we look into how we can allow God to renovate our hearts and renew our minds.

One of my favorite saying is, "We overestimate what we can accomplish in one week, but underestimate what we can accomplish in one year". Join us this Sunday for a Christmas celebration.  It is our final Sunday to prepare to celebrate Christmas and we will be taking time to reflect on and celebrate the magnitude of what God did for us by sending Jesus to be born into the world.  Please take some time this week to slow down and thank God for all he is doing in the world, then come on Sunday prepared to be amazed at who God is.

This week we will continue celebrating Advent by preparing to celebrate Christmas.  God coming to earth is such a momentous occasion that it truly takes weeks to fully prepare to celebrate.  This week we will preparing by examining how we can tangibly love and serve others during this season.

Advent means "to come to" and is the period of time before Christmas when Christians prepare to celebrate Jesus coming to earth.  Christmas is such a momentous occasion that we are suppose to take weeks to prepare to celebrate.  But how should we prepare and what does it really mean to "celebrate" Christmas.  Join us the next three Sundays as we celebrate Advent and "prepare" to celebrate Christmas.

We have so many things to be thankful for in this life. God is always pouring out his blessings upon us. Join us this Sunday to remind each other of what we are thankful for from this past year.

If you had just been released from jail for healing a crippled guy and talking about Jesus, what would you do? This week at Sanctaury we will continue looking at Acts chapter 4 to see what the first church did when life got rough. It is pretty inspiring to see what it really looks like to live THE WAY God intended and imagine what would happen if we lived it out.

Often we feel like if we are following God our lives should be going well and life should be simple. This week we will continue THE WAY and look at what life was like for those in the early church when they decide to live as Jesus taught.

During the past few weeks we have been looking at how the first 120 follows of Jesus transformed the history of the world.  This week we are going to hear the story of how two guys caught a vision for what God wants to do in this world and are making a major impact in our neighborhood.

Your walking down the steet and out of the corner of your eye see someone asking for money. What thoughts go through your mind? What do you do? This week we will see what Peter and John did in this situation and what it means for us as a church.

In Acts chapter 2, Peter says 569 words and 3000 people join THE WAY. Now thats what I call impressive. This week we will be looking at this concise but amazing talk Peter gives and see what it can teach us about being the church God indended.

How did the first 120 believers change the history of the world? That is the question we are asking during The Way sermon series. This week we continue looking at Acts chapter 2 and get a glimpse into the everyday lives of The Way. How they lived will inspire and challenge us all.

God's plan for reaching billions of people with the love and hope of Christ was and still is a group of people living THE WAY Jesus taught us to live.  Jesus left 120 confused followers in Jerusalem after he ascended into heaven, but that group of people transformed the entire world.  How did they do it and how are we supposed to carry on the work Jesus started in them?  That is what we will begin to explore this Sunday as we look at Acts 2 and learn what the church was truly designed to be.

One of my favorite pastors likes to say that the local church is the hope of the world. I think he's right, but often it seems the church is becoming less influencial rather than being the loving, life giving institution God created it to be. This Sunday we are kicking off a sermon series on the first four chapters of Acts that will look at what God created the church to be and how we can become more like God intended.

We often spend so much time worrying about each area of our lives that we forget to simply trust God and put Him first. But the Bible says, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Join us this Sunday for a time of worship, prayer and reflection as we refocus our attention on seeking God through worship and in our everyday lives.

Do you remember having a best friend in elementary school? I remember changing my best friends a few times a day depending on who was being nice at the time. But as we get older friendships take on new meaning and new complications. This Sunday at Sanctuary we will continue our God on Film series by looking at The Dilemma and what the bible has to say about friendship.

If you could change your looks to be anyone else in the world, who would you choose? One of the characters in X-men can do just that and yet she struggles to accept who she really is. This week we will continue our God on Film series by talking about the theme of accepting ourselves and accepting others that is presented in the movie X-men 1st Class.

Revenge is a powerful motivator and in the movie True Grit it inspires a 14 year old girl to bravely and boldly chase after the man who killed her father. But what does the Bible have to say about revenge and where does revengle ultimately lead? Join us this Sunday at Sanctuary as we begin our God on Film series by examing what the Bible has to say about revenge.

This Sunday we will finish up our sermon series on James by looking at Chapter 5. Like the entire book, Chapter 5 is very stratightforward and challenges us to really live out our faith. But what is really interesting is how the book ends with an explanation on how we can live out the Christian life in a way that doesn't burn us out. We hope you can join us this week as we close out the book of James.

This week we will be looking at James chapter 2 which challenges us by saying that "faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." How do we have the type of faith that spurs us on to action? How can we be the type of people who really live out our faith and make a difference in the world?

This Sunday we begin a sermon series on one of the most challenging and controversial books of the Bible, James. This week we begin in chapter one that exhorts us to "Consider it pure joy . . . when you face trials of many kinds." But how can we really do this? How can we keep from being discouraged and annoyed when things don't work out the way we would want?
