A beautiful Outlook for the newer version of the Windows Phone with the Microsoft Exchange support ready. Micrsoft Office Mobile, is also rumor to have been included in the phone O.S package (will be sold separately?)

And the internet explorer for mobile now will have the multi touch support ready, nevertheless researchers dubbed it to be slower than the likes of Mozilla and Opera already which are doing a pretty good development in making Mobile Internet browsing a pleasant experience for users.

And some cool addon for already a much Xbox Buffs, who wants to keep tabs on their friends’ achievements, Windows 7 phones will come with a mobile version of Xbox Xbox LIVE games, Spotlight feed and the ability to see a gamer’s avatar, Achievements and gamer profile. Users will also be able to purchase games and apps easily from the Windows Marketplace as well.

As far as the media access on the new windows phone is concerned, the In built media player which is actually as mentioned above entirely is .. ZUNE HD with some awesome connectivity sharing option if you have the ZUNE PC software on your windows computer machine.
One more special Addition to the new Windows Phone, will be ship with Bing Maps. I don’t know if thats gonna make a much different between Google Maps and Bing Maps however bing dynamically update the street-view photos, 3D graphics and directions.

Regardless of all these addition good news, there is some kind of sarcastic step was announced by Microsoft to position themselves in the commanding line over hardware manufacturers. According to Microsoft, hardware partners will not be able to replace the Windows 7 UI which indicates that the windows phone is actually locked somehow(meaning no custom screens). Also to add, they rolled some strict guidelines for the manufacturers Every phone must meet certain speed requirements, support multitouch, have a Bing button (for quick searching), have an FM radio built in, and meet battery life requirements, which indeed sounds like Microsoft is trying to act a bit corny here or simply acting a bit APPLE (knowingly Apple manufactures the hardware on its own).

If Rumors are to believe , Microsoft mightl unveil its Windows Mobile 7 smartphone operating system during a Feb. 15 presentation at the Mobile World Congress in Spain.

so, Hell Indeed Freezed over when the first ever Google Ad debuted to a wide live audience in the third quarter ad break in the most awaited SuperBowl Sunday match between Indianapolis and New Orleans.

The ad, “Parisian Love,” has been available on YouTube for some time where more than 1.6 million Web surfers have already viewed it.

Google, which surely doesn’t believe in Advertising that much aired a one minute long Ad during the break to promote the features and basic advantages of the already popular search engine.

The advert showed off a raft of Google’s search functions including maps, flight tracking, spelling correction, dictionary definitions, and its newest development, translation, as part of a search-enabled love story,

As the Google CEO Eric Schmidt admitted over twitter already about airing this Ad between a Superbowl match on saturday saying “Can’t wait to watch the Superbowl tomorrow. Be sure to watch the ads in the 3rd quarter (someone said ‘Hell has indeed frozen over’).”

However, just to avoid any negative aspect of airing the Ad and to clarify the motive behind it, Schmidt also explained in an official BlogPost that the ad was never actually intended for the TV or the Super Bowl but was part of a series of videos designed to show how people used Google. They said that they liked the Parisian Love video so much they decided to share it with a wider audience.

Yea, this is the news i was waiting for.
After all, hearing all these glamorous victory of Android O.S in past few months and of course to stand a chance to be the strongest Mobile Platform O.S in the world Symbian, which accounts almost 40 percent of the world cellphones has finally opened its doors for developers and enthusiast of the third kind known as Open Source.
Finally after a row of speculations in the past few months, Symbain finally went Open Source releasing almost more than 40 million lines of the code, which can easily be availed at official symbian web page, also includes 108 packages of source code in total, and development kits for creating applications and mobile device platforms are also available; both are compatible with Symbian^2, the newest version of the platform that will be finished this quarter.

The Symbian Foundation said its Symbian OS is now fully open source and open to contributions from developers around the world.
An insight from an official Press Release/Blog Post, Symbian Foundation director Lee Williams says:

“The development community is now empowered to shape the future of the mobile industry, and rapid innovation on a global scale will be the result,”
As open source software, Symbian can now be used or modified by developers “for any purpose,” the Foundation said, “whether that be for a mobile device or for something else entirely.”

“End users will see, ideally, differentiated devices, converged devices that are based on Symbian that range from smartphones [to converged devices],” such as cameras or a phone that is a gaming device, he said.

“With this achievement, the world’s most popular smartphone platform is available in its entirety for developers around the world to innovate on and contribute to, enabling new opportunities for engagement and monetization,” said Peter Ropke, VP for devices R&D at Nokia, in a statement.

Not to forget, the official comment made by Peter T Brown the Executive director of Free Software Foundation “ The FSF welcomes today’s news, and appreciates the Symbian Foundation’s continued efforts to release the Symbian platform as completely free software. There is still work to be done, particularly to ensure that Symbian’s kernel can be compiled with free software, and we look forward to working with the Symbian Foundation to make that happen.” ”

In a recent blog post on the Twitter status blog, the administration pointed out an unidentified hacker is using a rather strange and effective method or a plot to access some of the users passwords and account information, using fake BitTorrent file sharing sites and forums.
Also, who has reportedly been using this scam for a ”number of years”. According to twitter, the number of affected users is “very small”.

Well, its really not easy to figure out don’t know how many of normal internet service users uses the same password for more than one service at a time where according to a survey conducted by Trusteer found that 73 percent of users employ their online banking passwords with at least one non-financial Web site, and 47 percent of users share both their online banking user ID and password with at least one non-financial Web site.

Well, Expert view says users should try different passwords for each online service they use or log onto.

An insight from the official Twitter status blog, Twitter director of Trust and Safety Del Harvey states :

“As a general rule, if you signed up for a torrent forum or torrent site built by a third party, you should probably change your password there,” said Harvey.

“The takeaway from this is that people are continuing to use the same email address and password (or variant) on multiple sites,” Harvey noted. “We strongly suggest that you use different passwords for each service you sign up for,” he advised.

Well, its really not that hard to specify a certain password to a specific service, and i guess if you have some issues with your memory you can easily create a text file of all those passwords you create. Well, thats what i do . (Beware Hackers, i am Reckless too !!)

Okay, so another T-Mobile disaster.
This time, the affected users are the ones who are already experiencing the heat about some issues in Google’s First smartphone “NexusOne” where the official comment is already out about a bug which is yet to be fixed in the coming firmwares or updates for the same smartphone device.
Nonetheless, the bug has something to do with 3G connection on nexusone phone itself. Regardless to the bug, on friday morning Nexus One users across the U.S began reporting connectivity problems and complaining that they couldn’t connect to T-Mobile network at all.
Well thanks to the social networking and the web 2.0 phenomenon that the reports of outage began pouring and reported at multiple online sites, including Twitter, where T-Mobile staff are directing affected customers to the carrier’s message boards.

Nexus One owners are reporting data network issues Friday itself.

A Google employee confirmed there was some sort of problem with T-Mobile’s data network in a forum message: “We’re aware of reports with T-Mobile data connections, including the error: ‘To connect to the Internet with the device you are using, you’ll need a webConnect data plan.’ We’re currently working with T-Mobile to resolve this issue.”

To be frank, this is not the first time subscribers using T Mobile services are facing such a lame issue. In the past, just about three months back users using T Mobile data plan with a smartphone namely “SideKick” had similar data outage where almost major data of certain users was lost though later recovered. The error was doubted to happened at Microsoft’s Cloud Computing branch Danger Inc.

A US astronaut has just made a history, first ever astronaut to “Tweet” from space using the new Crew Support LAN, which NASA calls the “ultimate wireless connection,” is intended “to enhance astronauts’ quality of life” during those cold and lonely days circling the earth.

Space cadet Timothy Creamer, with a twitter username Astro_TJ created the history on Friday morning from international space station.

According to NASA, the astronauts will be subject to the same computer use guidelines as government employees on Earth. “In addition to this new capability, the crew will continue to have official e-mail, Internet Protocol telephone and limited videoconferencing capabilities,” NASA said

The Crew Support LAN, the system relies on existing communication links to give astronauts full Web connectivity. The crew also has access to e-mail, VoIP, and videoconferencing tools.

Well this is what i can say is the most important and the best aspect of the open source community and the wares. More and more collaborations, exchange of thoughts results in great achievements and innovations.
The same thing is what we saw, two days back when one of the foremost or front runners in Google powered Android mobile O.S hacking or modding,Steve Kondik famously known as “Cyanogen”
in the Android hacking world has rolled out a ROM specifically for Google NexusOne’s firmware based on Android O.S which enables Multi-Touch support for the said device with an ease.

Steve, in a post at Xda-Developers forum also indicated that during the flashing of this ROM will make user to loose his/her bookmarks and browser settings and also the warranty will get void too.

Well, as of now the the browser can have this functionality. In the past, as noticed the first android phone T-Mobile’s G1 was also dubbed to have similar hardware capabilities to have Mulit-Touch as a feature but was never introduced.

Also, as far as the hardware specifications are concerned the NexusOne clearly has all the ingredients for this Multi Touch support however guess, Google is too concerned about its relation with Apple instead and keeping a mull over it. And yes, Apple has the Patent for most of the touchscreen and related technologies which have been combined to make iPhone.

Patent number 7,479,949 covers a “touchscreen device, method and graphical user interface for determining commands by applying heuristics”.
The patent specifies many features and functions found on the phone. For example, on-screen finger swipes, a touchscreen with GUI, and “telephoning, video conferencing, e-mailing [and] instant messaging” functions.

Whatever the story behind Google acting a Duck be, users are happy to see the multi touch via hack on NexusOne as of now. But, surely are asking for more.
