Listerine, new service from syndeolabs.com,  is a dedicated Twitter list-manager, for tweeple with a lot of contacts.

In its default selection mode, simply drag a contact on to a List in order to add that contact to it. In its auto selection mode, you’ll need to set a List as ”active” by clicking that list’s TOGGLE button. You will then be able to add contacts to that active list simply by double-clicking on them.

The folks at 9elements have put together a demo of HTML 5’s canvas and audio elements.

They’ve created a little experiment which loads 100 tweets related to HTML5 and displays them using a javascript-based particle engine.

Each particle represents a tweet – click on one of them and it’ll appear on the screen.

To make this work, they make us of processing, jQuery and Modernizr as browser detection.

Great example!

In the last time we can see many funny web projects with jQuery using a lot of animation effects.

This effect becomes more and more popular to use as an alternative to adobe flash, btw.

Today i want to demonstrate you, how easy it could be implemented into your page or blog.

I will demonstrate it by using an existing example from a maintenance landing page of google wave.

some pp say “RT @jeresig: The most important part of Google Wave uses jQuery” ;)

it is an easy animation of ‘clouds in the sky’ moving from left to right ;), as we can see it everyday in nature, lol.

I try to keep it simple and explain only the necessary steps to make this animation effect working:

Step I: Including jQuery Framwork into your head section.
* without jQuery it will not work.

What does Semantic publishing?

By telling a computer how data items are related and how these relations can be evaluated automatically, it becomes possible to process even more complex filter and search operations. For example, if a search engine understands that “Van Gogh” was a “Dutch painter”, it can answer a search query on “Dutch painters” with a link to a web page about Vincent Van Gogh, although the exact words “Dutch painters” never occur on that page.

Content recommendations while you write

Time ago i’ve used Zemanta Firefox Plugin to associate and publishing relevant content to my blog. Today i found another hopefully useful wordpress plugin so called Calais Tagaroo from Calais and powered by Thomson Reuters, you know where all the data comes from.

Both services do quite the same.

Zemanta is very easy to use and can do bit more; wether you install the firefox plugin, which supports many blog platforms,  either you use the  right plugin for your cms to do it browser independently.
Calais Tagaroo is just the name of Calais’s wordpress plugin, they also offer more plugins and tools of course. Both Zemanata and Tagaroo need an api key for unique identification.

In short: while you are writing your masterpiece, both services try to offer you images, tags, links  relevant to your post.

this post was not intented to these 2 plugins at first, for me it was just a thought about how important metadata actually is and can be in future to make information more and more accessible by filtering and transformating content into description…
