We are working quite a bit on social media interaction with our client web sites right now and so thought it best that we have our own Facebook page to play with.

In addition to adding a standard Facebook page we have also created a custom page which is co-branded with our own colours etc. If you would like to do this on your business pages just give us a shout.

Nippy Normans BMW spares goes live

Our relationship with Nippy Normans goes way back, to around the time Webselect was a fledgling outfit getting to grips with the basics of HTML!

Now some 12 years later Nippy Normans are back and the site we have developed for this very successful company is a bit of a work of art! From the outside it looks very much like a regular site but under the skin lies a complex system which ties into the Nippy Normans back end software, M.O.M. (Multichannel Order Manager, previously called Mail Order Manager) from Dydacomp.

We had to completely bespoke write a system which would extract all the product data, prices, stock, images and descriptions (despite these being written in old style HTML) and export them to the new site as often as Nippy Normans choose. Orders have to seemlessly go into M.O.M. and cater for the variable delivery options and VAT treatment depending on where the customer is.

As well as this we have added our own Content Management System to enable full control of the site content.

We look forward to hearing what Nippy Normans customers think to the new site.

An all new Keswick site goes live

Keswick Tourism Association has been a client of Webselect for many many years and earlier this year awarded the contract to develop a brand new web site. The competition was stiff and many great companies put their case forward to build the latest version. We were delighted that the Association chose to stay with us.

As the new Keswick, The Lake District web site goes live today we spoke to Linda Furniss, Tourism Officer at the Association who said...

"Wonderful design, technical know-how and support from ALL the Webselect team. We are very pleased with our new website and once again it has been a pleasure to work with such a professional and friendly team"

The site build has taken some time due to the complexity of the Content Management System and sheer number of pages which totals thousands. Some of the nice features include

Ability to update everything on the site
Ability to create new sections at will, add pages, images, video, documents etc
A new interactive map built with Google mapping
Member area allowing anyone to update their own entries, photos and videos
BBC Weather forecast plugged in

September is proving to be a really busy month and we are delighted to announce a number of new projects awarded to Webselect Internet.

Celtic Sheepskin: New sections for 'Bespoke riding boots' allowing users to design their own made to measure boots plus multiple back-end updates.
Bite Size Britain: Updates to multiple sites
Lorient Polyproducts: Addition of e-commerce site connected directly to back office systems
Backline Logistics: New web site for this long term lovely client
Nippy Normans: New web site, online ordering system and integration into third-party software. A big welcome back to this customer.

On top of that a record number of quotes have been produced, 5 web sites for one client alone! It looks like we will be busy for a while.

Compliance firm ePlus Global choose Webselect Internet

We are delighted to announce the awarding of a new contract to develop a web site for ePlus Global, a company working in the water services compliances industry.

The new site will be dual purpose.

The general public facing site will explain the companies services and give vital information to industry on subjects such as Legionella control.

The second part of the site will be a document store which can be accessed by various levels of users, from Local Authority heads to individual location Managers. The store will contain all documented history of each location as required by law.

We look forward to launching the site at the end of August.

Dean Forge chooses to redevelop site with Webselect

We are delight to announce the decision of Dean Forge to choose Webselect Internet once again to redevelop their web site for the coming years.

Dean Forge is one of the biggest and longest established suppliers and manufacturer of wood burning Stoves, multi fuel stoves, traditional range cookers, flues and lots more in the South West. Dean Forge offer many of their hand made wrought iron products ready to purchase from their showroom, however numerous customers commission Dean Forge to forge or fabricate items to suit there own individual requirements.

The new site will incorporate Webselect's new CMS system which will allow Dean Forge far greater control over site content.

We thank Dean Forge for choosing Webselect once again and look forward to continuing our excellent relationship.

Webselect contracted to develop new financial comparison site

Although the amount of information we can give out at this stage is limited we are delighted to announce that Webselect have been selected to develop a new financial comparison web site for a major UK retailer in conjunction with a UK based IFA.

More information will be released later but the site will allow users to get quotes for multiple financial products from multiple providers and to buy online.

We look forward to working with both companies.

Liebherr Coolectric site due to launch very soon

Liebherr are one of the worlds largest companies with divisions dealing with construction, aerospace and mining to name just three.

In the UK Liebherr are well known for their domestic appliances and we have been tasked with creating a new site for this part of the business.

The site will show the full range of appliances and will allow users to compare as well as get full technical details. It will also tie into the registration scheme offered by the firm.

The site is nearly complete and we expect it to launch within the next 2 months.
