In order to triumph over the hackers, Web application protection should be a critical factor in the development life cycle and integrated very early in the application development process.

Regrettably, this does not occur as regularly as it can in everyday practice. Considerably many software engineers were never trained on Internet software protection standards or instructed to conform to the latest and greatest security requirements. In addition, company security units commonly discover themselves helpless to remain current with the volume of Web applications they must to protect. Then, they are either spotting matters late in the development life cycle or not at all. The repeated cycle of coding, defect repairing and testing Internet programs and applications, mingled with battling to keep abreast of the pending deficiencies is an constant, challenging and resource-intensive battle against the hackers. Don’t overlook your other systems components when going through the motions of securing your Web applications, as you must take a holistic approach. Quite a few database design and development companies in your area can provide assistance on locking down your database and other system components.

The key to including protection into the application development process is a modification of attitude and awareness among the corporation’ software engineers. Security flaws must be noted as only another kind of application defect. During the application development process, from secure code writing, through testing during QA, to incessant stress testing and recurrent security reviews, the driving force should be on applying energy to the ever-changing potential for insecurities, and the perception of new vulnerabilities and exploitation methodologies. Furthermore, allowances must be made for coding changes in the application once it is released and live because new insecurities can be discovered at unpredictable moments, and Web applications must be kept track of and re-assessed on an continuous basis to recognize new threats and repair the defects.

Whenever it turns toward application security, an even more difficult challenge is unearthing unknown threats. For example, the code your company’s software developers compile may inject vulnerabilities that you had never considered before. Additionally, it’s frequently difficult to be certain that third party software applications your organization has purchased and deployed has been sufficiently safeguarded.

Numerous vendors and Web page designers and developers in Anchorage, Alaska offer software development and security teams with techniques to detect threats and vulnerabilities as part of the application development process. Through the capability to identify, justify and report on application security threats, reputable Web page designers and developers in Anchorage, Alaska not only detect threats, but also assist organizations in fixing them by supplying best practices recommendations, pinpointing the problems and supporting your business’s users to patch the weaknesses.

Benefit From Industry-wide Recommendations

To implement Web application security strategy appropriate for your company, one should logically seek out the industry accepted recommendations and best practices that have proven effective in eliminating security shortcomings. The next blog article represents the viewpoints followed by very many cutting edge organizations.

Mid-level business consultants may are working at mid-size or large enterprises; they may be tasked to work from anywhere in the continent. Nevertheless, they maintain a common responsibility: to better manage the risks associated with their organizational infrastructure. Continuously, business Web application security becomes ever more important to accomplishing that assignment. Many corporations place tremendous trust in their website design and development departments. Companies today try to cut costs and may be placing themselves at great risk when they hire IT professionals not trained in Web security.

Increasingly, businesses rely on enterprise-level Web applications to do business. Organizational applications in most cases adopt the use of Web forms to obtain customer information. To take a simple example,, solicit dates of birth, associated with other personal information or e-mail and user satisfaction answers. An organizational Web page designer and developer in Anchorage, Alaska, for example, is tasked to create many classes of information gathering applications.

Unluckily, the increased acceptance of corporate Web applications leaves the organization open to security flaws that developers may not have anticipated. As the number and complexity of corporate Web applications becomes larger, so does the amount of hazards added into your organizational Web activities. Very critical Web attacks project the focus on enterprise level application deficiencies. In fact, the amount of threats affecting business Web applications keeps businesses focused not on their core competencies, but on ever complicated strategies to manage these challenges. One must be careful not to get bogged down only on the Web sphere and neglect the other security vulnerabilities. The database integration team’s performance activities should also be reviewed very closely.

As security attacks grow more ingenious and malicious by the day,
overlooking the responsibility to properly protect your enterprise-level Web applications can leave your enterprise exposed to costly mistakes. These incidents can place at jeopardy sensitive customer data or the planting of malware or viruses.

Specific corporate exposure of these types of mistakes include:
Lost revenue and business opportunities;
Objectionable media attention;
Business loss of reputation;
Undesirable scrutiny from consumer advocates; and
Litigation.

Also, if your enterprise is legally duty-bound to protect the privacy and security of personal data, and hackers put their hands on this classified data, your company can be exposed to charges of noncompliance with many mandated legislative conditions and requirements, including Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and Sarbanes-Oxley, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The PCI DSS, For example, was drafted to secure financial card information by maintaining reliable and safe electronic marketing. Newer upgrades to current PCI legislation involve additional conditions for organizations to secure Web-facing applications or be confronted with noncompliance. Everyone today expects organizations to practice due diligence when it comes to public facing Web applications.

Every day, technologies change and it becomes increasingly difficult for the database administrators and Web professionals to stay current. However, it is the ultimate responsibility of management, not the IT staff to ensure the legislative requirements are adhered to.

Not all e-commerce shopping carts are the same; and choosing one can be a bit tricky. Since this is one of the most important decisions you have to make as an online merchant, you have to make sure that you roll on the perfect shopping cart suited for your needs and the needs of your potential costumers. To successfully find the perfect one, doing some deep research is a great help.

When comparing different shopping cart vendors, consider the following:

Features vs. Business Scale

Wish list, registry, site search, real-time inventory, payment options, express checkout, product reviews, order tracking, website security, and order tracking: these are just a number of features that may be included when purchasing a shopping cart. If you are not careful enough, these features may define your choice for a shopping cart vendor. Instead of allowing yourself to be hypnotized with all these attractive options, ask yourself this question: ìDo I really need all these things?î

It may seem very basic that you should decide according to your needs but there are certain instances where you simply become an impulsive buyer.

Deciding whether or not such feature is important requires understanding on the needs of your business. The decision should depend on the size of your business, quantity of products you sell and budget.

Price vs. Budget

Speaking of budget, the next thing you should consider is how much you can afford. Before setting a budget, try to browse first the websites of different shopping cart vendors. This will give you an idea how much such service will cost. Take note that the prices depend on the features included in shopping carts.

Once you have set your budget, stick to it.

Ease of Use vs. Looks

Most buyers are more impatient when purchasing items online than when they buy on shops and stalls. This is quite ironic since all they need to do is to move their mouse pointer to the right direction click on the products they want to buy and wait for the shipment to come; instead of visiting a shop and spending time browsing different products and dealing with (sometimes annoying) sales representatives. But this is the fact you have to consider. Buy from a vendor with easy to use shopping cart. Looking for a vendor with user-friendly features should be easy as most shopping cart providers offer an easy to use feature. Similarly, it is a plus if the shopping cart looks good but this is really not your main priority.

If possible, you need to have a shopping cart that is easy to use and at the same time, a shopping cart that looks good and can add to the appeal of your website. But if you have to choose one, going for ease of use is a wiser option.

The key here is research. Do not settle for two or three vendors. Search as many websites as you can. Read reviews and testimonials. Read articles about shopping carts. Join forums if possible. The more websites you visit; the more information you can gather that is important when deciding what features to take, how much money to throw, and what type of e-commerce shopping cart to buy. But remember: do not purchase anyth

Same goes with draw a car guides, not all are the same… some are simply better than others, you know what I’m talking about Get the real deal at http://drawacarsecrets.com/ … Peace!

You might not realize it, but the history of e commerce started before the first Internet connection. Things started happening in the 1960s, over 40 years ago, that were crucial steps along the way bringing us to the level of e commerce we have today.

First, the EDI was developed in the 60s. EDI means Electronic Data Interchange. This is a set of standards for electronic transactions and the exchange of business information. Even with this development, many companies still couldn’t do business electronically with each other because there were different EDI formats. But in 1984, one EDI, the ASC X12, became the standard for transferring large amounts of transactions, and was adapted quickly by those institutions who wanted to do business electronically.

Eight years later in 1992, the first point and click web browser was developed, called Mosaic. Then the first downloadable browser, Netscape, was developed based on Mosaic, and this gave people with Internet access the ability to participate in electronic commerce. This was really the first step in the history of e commerce that lead to the widespread e commerce usage we see today.

DSL or high-speed Internet let more users take advantage of e commerce with more convenience, with the holiday season of 1998 setting a record of the most e commerce sales until that point. Online sales for AOL during that 10-week Christmas season topped 1 billion.

Red Hat Linux was developed, giving computer users a choice. No longer was Windows the only option, consumers could opt for reliable and open-sourced Linux, instead. Now that there was competition, Windows began expanding its ability to handle e commerce.

Napster was founded in 1999, and even though it started out as a way for users to share music files for free, its development was an important step in the history of e commerce. As it became more and more popular, consumers had a say in what they hoped to get from such a site, and e commerce and the entire industry, in general. Then, in 2000, AOL and Time Warner merged, combining a completely online company with an old and established traditional company. By then, Yahoo, eBay and Amazon.com were popular sites, their names synonymous with Internet use and e commerce. Hackers attached each of these sites in 2000, demonstrating the need for higher Internet security, particularly where e commerce was concerned. In the history of e commerce, this started the push for secure ordering and more secure browser interfaces.

Traditional companies started adapting for e commerce, and now almost every major retail player has an online presence where it’s easy and convenient to order electronically, like Sears, Wal-Mart and Borders bookstores. In 2001, business-to-business transactions alone accounted for $700 billion dollars changing hands.

With more people discovering the convenience of shopping from home than ever, it’s clear that the history of e commerce isn’t a closed book, but will continue to change as online shopping becomes more and more popular.

Get your groove on and enjoy some Home Brewing Beer with your mates… nothing is sweeter than Home Brewing Beer… especially when you make it and drink it!!!

Read useful things to know in the sphere of free website traffic - make sure to go through the web page. The times have come when proper info is really only one click of your mouse, use this opportunity.

An audio visual representation provides the viewers with an idea of seriousness and professionalism reflected by a company. Whether you use Microsoft power point, Flash, MS movie maker or Adobe premiere or any other software it really doesn’t makes a difference, the effect given by most of them are same. You can increase the marketability of your company by utilizing effective tools which will improve the user’s experience.

A video spokesperson can be used in various ways:

•	Websites
•	Audio Visual Presentation.
•	News and Commercials reports
•	Instructional or Education videos

A video spokesperson helps in enlightening your website. Today, you may see many websites have video and animation flash files on their websites. The videos helps customers to grab better and quick information but one of the disadvantage of placing heavy files on your website is increase in its loading time. When a website takes long time to load, the customer loses interest and moves onto other web pages. Also people with slow internet connection find it quite annoying. A video spokesperson on the other hand does not take much time to load and starts immediately. Also, it describes the customer about your website completely and in short so that one does not have to go through the entire content written on it. A spokesperson adds 3D effect to the website. It also helps in establishing great relationship with the customers.

Using a video spokesperson is beneficial in many ways. It helps to hold the customer. When spokes person talks to a customer and speaks to him face to face, it is very unusual to see him move to other web pages. Adding a spokesperson actually makes a customer feel that he is talking to a live person. Also message that you wish to convey through your website is given out easily. But there may be cases when a customer wants to read the content on his own and compare the deals that you are offering with other websites. Adding a feature that would turn off the spokesperson option is necessary to not lose on such users.

The conversion sales of your website can be considerably raised if you employ this technology in the right way and at the right spots in your website. Also ensure that the speech or script the video spokesperson speaks to your customers is to the point and is not exaggerated in any way. Do not to use video spokesperson that is extremely appealing for your website as a customer may feel distracted by his/her beauty and personality.

Summary: Video spokesperson technology needs to be used in a right way to enjoy its complete benefits. It is necessary to keep important recommendations in mind when incorporating one.

Yes! Eurocrates could help you to sell online in 27 European countries! This is probably your best opportunity to get your tailored french website and start doing serious business with one of the biggest e-commerce market in the World.

Who else wants to be a successful Europreneur?

If you wonder why you cannot do business in the European Union then read what Brussels Consumer Comissioner, Meglena Kuneva says about the e-commerce situation in Europe.

Interesting facts about e-commerce in the EU.

While e-commerce market takes off at domestic level in most European countries, it is still relatively uncommon for consumers to use the internet to purchase goods or services in another EU country.
As a result, the gap between national and cross-border e-commerce is increasing: from 2006 to 2008, the share of all EU consumers that have bought at least one item over the internet increased from 27% to 33% while cross border e-commerce remained stable (6% to 7%).

The pattern is similar for European users with internet access at home:

- 56% of consumers with the internet at home have made an purchase on the internet in any country including their own. There were in comparison 50% in 2006.
- 13% of European internet users access at home have made a cross-border e-commerce purchase, compared to 12% in 2006.

However, this picture tends to vary at European country level.
The percentage of consumers having bought goods or services from a seller located in another EU state varies from 38% in Luxembourg to 2% in Portugal.

Smaller EU state members such Luxembourg, Cyprus, Malta, Denmark, and Ireland are much more open to cross-border online shopping than the bigger ones.

Countries where online shopping is already well developed such as the UK, the Nordic countries, the Benelux, for instance have correspondingly higher rates of cross-border online shopping.

To what extent do European businesses sell to another country?

Among retailers, the cross-border potential of e-commerce also seems to be poorly exploited:

51% of EU27 retailers sell via the internet, but only 21% are currently conducting cross-border transactions. Actually the figures show a 7 points drop from 29% in 2006 to 21% in 2008.

Internet cross-border advertising also shows the same figures (21% in 2008).

One in five EU retailers (21%) sell cross-border, via distance sales methods, to at least one other EU country.

On the other side, 75% of EU retailers sell in their own domestic market.

European retailers who conduct in other EU state members tend usually to trade with very few countries. Only 4% of those retailers trade with 10 or more Member States. But the vast majority trade only with one or two other European countries.

This may also show the tendency of some large online retailers to establish in several European countries. Businesses most likely to be involved in cross-border retailing are medium and medium-large retail enterprises, with a limited number of outlets in other European countries and with existing language capabilities.

European SME retailers appear to be particularly reluctant to embrace the opportunities of e-commerce to trade with other european clientele.

What about you? How long will you wait until you get your european e-commerce website
