The 2nd Cebu: Digital Filipino Club & Bloggers Networking Event at Teatro Casino PAGCOR last Saturday-July 11, 2009 was indeed a success! Compared to last year’s (1st year of the event here in Cebu) the number of participants, especially the Cebu Bloggers increased. I still remember during its first year on how Winston of BatangYagit.com exert effort to organize the Cebu Bloggers as one. And yet, until now, we all are always thankful for his legacy!

Moving on, just like last year, before the program started, everyone was adviced to eat their dinner which was sponsored by PAGCOR. Around 8PM (if am not wrong), the program started with a welcome ceremony by one of the PAGCOR personnel (mybad I forgot her designation), then followed by Miss Janette’s presentation and then a short break. This time, the Cebu Bloggers did some camwhorings while others were just sitting and did some chit chats. Afterwhich, there were some raffles and I was lucky coz this time I got the PAGCOR green back with some freebies inside! ^_^.

Lastly, I would like to thank Miss Janette for inviting us again in the event. To the Cebu Bloggers Society family, for being so cooperative. To the sponsor Casino Filipino PAGCOR Cebu and to everyone who came at the event, thanks a lot! Hope to see you again next year!

Anyways, as what I have noticed there are actually gaming sites that offers you great poker rooms, casinos, and some other stuffs, however they tend to include you a lot of things to downloads. Hassle isn’t it? Well, I think this would basically a piece of tip that I’ll be giving in choosing a certain website or gaming websites rather where you could play online casino where you can have online slots no download.

As far as I could remember, a friend of mine who lives in US shared something about Casino. He mentioned that he went once at Las Vegas and met a lot of people who consider gambling as their hobby.  But since the rise of Online Casino, he then just prefer sitting at his chair and play it online!

Last Saturday evening, we the Cebu Bloggers went at VUDU for the Project Headshot Clinic One Youth. That was a bit of fun though. I knew it already that it would be a photoshoot. Anyhow, lemme just share to you a bit of experience that I had last time at the certain venue VUDU. Well, it’s simply like this.

Am the kind of person who is used to wear slippers coz it’s more comfty. The hell would I know that this VUDU place doesn’t allow slippers? When I arrived at the place, I heard them agreed (since we would just be there for a while for the photo shoot) that we basically are allowed to go inside as long as we would wear that green thing in our arm. At first (early in the evening around 6pm) I was able to went inside/out in that particular hell VUDU, but later on around 8PM while I was outside, I decided to went inside again, however this black shirt damn man didn’t allow me enter the hell again, I told him that I won’t be long inside, however he kept on telling me (at the same time) pointing at the damn rule about slippers. Well, that disappoints me a bit. I mean it, I was annoyed and wanted to scream like hell! I thought we were exempted for that damn rule on that day!

No wonder, I heard people talking about playing casino at home. Like playing  online casinos for real money, oh how’s that? Well, it’s very common in the US. USA online casinos is somewhat a hobby for those people who really are in to this game. Well of course there are still a lot of people coming to Las Vegas for an offline game! But for those people who are not wanting to go there, well, they can have an online slots for real money!

These are just among the few things that technology could do. Yes it’s making our lives more easy and simple.  If you’re a facebook addict, for sure you also are able to notice the poker games they have.  I myself also played it often times with my online facebook buddies, and it rocks!

ABBA | Our Last Summer

I know this is a very late post. The hell I care! (haha) Well, it’s simply because I don’t feel writing after summer . Newies, I think am in the mood to write something today. And it goes like this…

It was a clear summer day (oh it’s a song I think? hahaha… whatever) This post is all about my last summer experience. So basically it’s summer wrap up! But wait, when does summer begins here in the Philippines? Not so sure with this eh? Okay, lemme just start from March.

March 2009

• Team Building - the Team Reloaded with Neil Parilla’s leadership (our former team supervisor) went at Alegria, Cebu for our 1st quarter team building. We stayed at Batong Malunhaw Beach Resort. The team building activities really was a good idea for everyone in the team to have some relaxation and fun! And yes, It was really fun! Loads of fun - promise! .. Another thing, it coincides my birthday since we stayed there overnight March 07 to 08 (which is my day). See post here [Weekend at Alegria, Cebu]

• Sinebuano - ’twas mid March of this year when I joined Sinebuano for no particular purpose, till I slowly learned about things in Film making. One thing that interests me most is Cinematography. It was also a good timing of joining the group, for I didn’t expect to be exposed in the camera late March for the short film “Dong“. More at [SineBuano Weekend Activities 3/28 & 3/29]

April 2009

• Wisdom teeth - yeah! I just turned 22 and for the past 21 years I never had wisdom tooth. Take note I just thought of a tooth. But just last week of April my wisdom teeth started to grow and it really hurts. I haven’t eaten for 2 days. Yet I survived the pain (congrats to me ) Continue at [Killing me softly]

May 2009

• iBlog 5 - May 09. I promised my self that with in the year I should go somewhere else (atleast 2 places) that is outside Cebu. One place down (hehehe). I filed a 2 days vacation leave for this event which was followed with 2 rest days. I flew to Manila to attend this one day event-iBlog 5 which was held at UP Diliman, QC. There I met a lot of online buddies who basically are bloggers, photographers, plurkers and of course my SO family. It was indeed a nice event! S adly, I wasn’t able to go with them for the after party event ( am such a loser ). Continue at: [Chronicles of iBlog 5]. Moreover, I was able to meet my big brother again and in fact I stayed at their house during those days. Oh yeah, the last time I saw my brother was 2004 and am still a high school boy during that time. Now, there are a lot of changes, he already have his a blessed family, but still rocks! Also I was able to meet my cute korean fanatic couzin Jacel and her family , I stayed their house too overnight ^_^. We’re supposed to go at Ecopark, but we ran out of time, I mean I ran out of time . But still I enjoyed my stay there! Hope to come back soon!

• 1and1 Summer Outing - May 17, everyone (except for those people who volunteer for the skeletal team) went at the Alegrado Island, Maribago Blue Water Beach Rosort at Mactan, Cebu for the company’s summer outing 2009! And yeah, I won a GC overnight for 2 at the Ambassadors Room, Waterfront. (for the first time in my life, I won a raffle. And I am selling it, care to buy?) [Summer outing at Alegrado Island]

• ASUS Ultimate Overclocking Show and Dinner at Bigbys — May 23 the ASUS Ultimate Overclocking Show happened and witnessed by the Cebu Bloggers. After the event, we (cebubloggers) were invited for a dinner at Bigbys and yeah we got GC worth 500.00.

• Yehey.com - May 28, the Cebu Bloggers Society was invited by Yehey.com for a short convention at La Maison, Ayala Terracess, Cebu City. It was a sort of acquaintances, camwhorings, thoughts sharing, dinner and the likes! I met, Ms. Kan-kan and Elaine during the meet up. Also, Mr. Lim gave us overview about Yehey.com. So far, these are the things I could remember during my last summer. If in case I forgot something, I’ll just add it then. I think I never had such kind of summer as I had experience this year, I hope I could have more fun through out the year! \m/

Every now and then, there is an increase of demand for nurses abroad. Isn’t it a great opportunity? Well, it must be. But, how many are able to avail the chance? - only few. What I actually noticed is that, most licensed nurse are relying on offline agencies. Not knowing that a lot of travel nurse agencies online are looking for them to fill the need for the nursing demand.

So why not try to experience the freedom of a traveling nurse?

Michael Jackson who is known as the King of Pop, an influential singer and dancer just passed away yesterday Thursday June 25, 2009 at the age of 50.

Michael Jackson was suffering a cardiac arrest. While en route to the UCLA Medical Center, Jackson apparently stopped breathing. Jackson was originally reported in a coma but other sources mentioned that Jackson died. He died with his family surrounding him. (wikipedia)

Just this morning, my online buddy Chikletz told me that Michael Jackson just passed away according to TMZ.

Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m., Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda told the newspaper. (msnbc)

Lemme share to you some thoughts about their latest song “Commissioned”. As I read through each lines, it somehow reminds me of those moments when I was down. Again, it’s telling me that life shouldn’t cease with one failure. One should not bother to look the obstacles on their feet, but to focus on their goals and keep their eyes above their head. That no matter what, we shouldn’t get tired of trying as long as it’s worth trying for. Been in the situation so many times, and I could tell that it really is not that easy to be in a limbo of nowhere, where you could hardly decide whether to pursue it or not.

June 21, 2009 - Cebu’s first ever Hobby Convention (HobCon) was held at Parkmall, Mandaue City. The event’s highlights were LevelUp! Live 2009-Cebu Regional and Cosplay Event! Kodus to the Cebu Bloggers Society for being one of the Media Partner. Got my very first Media ID since I became a blogger. (hahaha)!

Oh what else? hmmp.. yeah, I met a lot of cosplayers and they were pretty cool. They look awesome, especially the girls! And one more thing, at last I already met my long time online friends Noi and Toni. It was indeed a pleasure meeting them both yesterday! Thank you guys for coming at the event
