Though this feature was available on YouTube for select countries but recently YouTube has rolled out the same for the rest of the planet. In short, now you can enjoy full length movies on YouTube (check here) without paying any fee. YouTube recently striked a successful deal with US-based studios like MGM, Lionsgate and Sony Pictures. Also, YouTube has a similar deal with BlinkBox which is based in UK. Over 400 full length Hollywood as well as Bollywood movies are available on YouTube for fre public viewing.

Donagh O’Malley, YouTube head of video partnerships, said, “This is one of many efforts to ensure that people can find all the different kinds of video they want to see, from bedroom vlogs and citizen journalism reports to full-length films and TV shows.”

We will be waiting to see when live games (like cricket) and on demand movies (paid ofcourse) hit YouTube. Till then enjoy the likes of Andaz Apna Apna (famous Bollywood flick) and The Best Of Three Stooges.

Though blackberry is one of the most famous phones around yet most of its users aren’t aware with the possibilities that this palmtop holds with itself. One can know the real signal strength with the use of simple cheat code which isn’t available with the default settings of your blackberry. You can even track the signal problem in your blackberry using this trick. Similarly, blackberry does let you delete your call logs by the click of few buttons but it does hold a cheat code using which you will discover that blackberry is still storing your call logs without you being aware of the same.

In order to view the log files of your blackberry phone all that you got to do is reach out to your blackberry home screen, hold the alt key and press the keys LGLG (in that order) while the alt key is pressed. In case you use Blackberry storm then please display your keyboard in portrait view and hold the number key so as to lock the number keyboard. Now press ,5,5 (in that order) to check the hidden phone logs.

Please be adviced that one needs to delete the call history from the hidden blackberry debug logs as this log isn’t cleared even when you manually delete the history of your phone after removing the SIM card. You must be aware that you aren’t actually deleting your traces unless the blackberry debug logs are cleared. And you cannot turn of this logging.

Also, you can select menu key from your log section of blackberry and then select clear log to clear these hidden logs. You can even clear all the possible logs by going to message inbox and then press alt – P. Keep trying untill you are rest assured that you have deleted all your traces.

Various Internet based startups have started to understand the fact that instead of taking a head on collision with the likes of Facebook they should rather tap into the traffic of such giants and gather some regular traffic for themselves. Docs.com is another such Internet startup which has come up with something different and unique lately. People behind Docs.com have come up with a Friend Chart which once used creates a graphical chart based on the kind of friends that you have in your Facebook friends list. The final output looks something like shown below:

The website generates the output on an excel sheet that can be download for your detailed analysis. People at docs.com are working pretty hard to bring in some more exciting apps for facebook users and we will surely keep you updated with them.

Though Google Chrome is the best browser that I have ever used still I will have to commit that it does goof up things at times and the outcome is so weird that anyone would get confused. Some time back my friend tried to open the Google Search home page and as he is located in India so google.co.in is saved in his browsing history which should have opened up by default. Somehow he was sent to Google’s global home page google.com and chrome could not understand this redirection. The end result was the warning page shown below:

The warning page said:

You attempted to reach google.co.in but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as www.google.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit (and potentially harmful) version of google.co.in. You should not proceed.

Well, it is weird to see that Google Chrome considers www.google.com as harmful. Really weird!

There have been hundreds of Internet startups that dreamed of bringing down the likes of Facebook and Twitter. Few even went on to announce publicly that they will be giving a head on fight to the giants like Facebook and Twitter but at the end of the day all of them just faltered. Every such startup has tried its best to do something different so as to divert the traffic from Facebook and Twitter. The biggest disadvantage with such startups has been their plan of action to gain publicity on the Internet. They never tapped in to the traffic of Facebook but they on the other hand tried their best to kill Facebook’s traffic.

Marginize is one new Internet based startup that has shown smartness by tapping into the traffic of Facebook, Twitter and Google Buzz instead of taking a head on fight with these giants. The service provided by Marginize is quiet simple. Once you install the Chrome/Firefox plugin for Marginize then a permanent frame is attached to the side of your browser which displayed reactions from other registered users of Marginize for that particular page. To understand exactly what I mean I would request you to check the image below and use this link for Marginize link of CompuWorld’s home page.

Once you are at a page then you can use the permanent frame on your right to leave your reactions regarding that page and let the world know more about the same. You can scroll down so as to check what other users have written about that page and even reply to individual users. At the end of the day Marginize can end up collecting some seriously useful information regarding different pages on the Internet based on the experience of its users and all this will be available in compact format right on top of every respective page. One also gets the chance to check-in into different pages which lets others know that you had visited that page. This way you can leave traces of what you have been surfing on the Internet if you aren’t an avid porn surfer! Just use the check-in button and let your presence be felt.

Their can be times when the huge vertical Marginize bar can prove to be irritating for users as it covers one third of every page and you don’t even have a horizontal scroll bar to view the rest of the page which is covered by Marginize bar. This is when one can either use the transparent feature of Marginize or else minimize Marginize bar to a small box. The vertical bar can be made transparent if you roll over your mouse on the word marginize next to the bar as show by red mark in the image below:

But, the transparent feature might not be that interesting as it still won’t let you surf that hidden part of the page with smoothness. This is when you can simply minimize the huge vertical Marginize bar and once you do that then it converts itself into a small box which keeps giving you the updates and stays in the bottom right half of your webpage. It won’t disturb you much as shown in the image below:

One can easily disable the Marginize plugin using the small little icon which is available on the right of your address bar as shown in image below:

Overall, Marginize is one awesome startup that will surely stick around if it does not end up goofing things around. Be as simple as you are right now yet introduce more features to keep the public intact.

Some of the features that I would love to see in Marginize:

My Profile page is way below simplicity. I cannot add the link of my website on my profile page and neither can I add friends in Marginize. These two features can surely let users stay in touch and use Marginize to its best.

The mailing feature is missing in Marginize. One would love to have an inbox in Marginize using which he could send messages to others.

A toolbar version of Marginize for Internet Explorer users. It is true that most of us use Firefox or Chrome but still their is one section of the Internet users that use the age old Internet Explorer and the number is pretty decent.

More marketing please! Marginize has hit Tech Crunch (and received pretty decent reaction) yet @marginize has 146 followers while Facebook fan page has JUST 25 followers. Ring a bell people?

I will surely be following Marginize without fail as I do see potential in it. Lets see where the mixture of Facebook and Twitter takes Marginize.

They just can’t stop. It is Apple’s hobby to stretch themselves to the extremes and the newly launched Mac Book Pro with 12 core processor is just another proof of what all Apple can do. Apple has come up with three new options for its customers and has already started to take orders on their online stores for the crazy ones that cannot wait. Go and customize the machines as per your choices if you think their pre-decided configuration is not enough for your high end gaming requirements.

Every Mac Pro comes with Apple’s innovative Magic Mouse and customers can also order Apple’s new Magic Trackpad as an option. The Magic Trackpad brings the intuitive Multi-Touch™ gestures of Mac notebook trackpads to the desktop. With its glass surface, the wireless Magic Trackpad allows users to scroll smoothly up and down a page with inertial scrolling, pinch to zoom in and out, rotate an image with their fingertips and swipe three fingers to flip through a collection of web pages or photos. The Magic Trackpad can be configured to support single button or two button commands and supports tap-to-click as well as a physical click. Magic Trackpad is available separately for $69.

The 12 core machine will cost you around $4,999 and will come packed with over 6 GB of RAM. Two 2.66GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon “Westmere” processors will power the machine and 1 TB of hard disk drive should be enough to store your crazy data. You also have two other options that will cost you somewhat less. The 8 core will cost you $3,499 while the quad core will cost you $2,499. It takes around 7 days for shipping and the Apple power house will be ready to shine your home.

GMail keeps popping in news every now and then and it has done it again. GMail has officially introduced another best GMail feature using which one can use multiple accounts at a time from the same browser. Once this feature is turned on then you will be able to login to two or more different GMail accounts from one single browser without having to sign out from the other account. Running two GMail accounts simultaneously isn’t a hassle now.

All that you got to do is turn on multiple sign-in from your accounts page and you are good to go.

Click on Settings link on the top right corner from your GMail page.

Click on Accounts and Import tab.

From the Change account settings click on Google Account settings.

A new page opens up where you can turn on/off the Multiple sign in feature.

Four important features on Multiple sing-in that one must understand are listed below:

The account you’re currently using is displayed at the top of most Google product pages, or at the bottom of most pages on mobile devices. Always check to make sure you’re using the account you want.

Not all Google products support multiple sign-in. When switching between Google products, the account you’re currently using may change.

Google products not listed above will default to the first account that you signed in to using your current web browser session.

Offline Mail and Offline Calendar will be disabled. You may lose any unsent mail.

Remember, that to sign into your second account from the same browser you cannot just go to www.gmail.com in another tab (or window) and sign in to the other account. You will again have to head towards the settings page and click on Sign in to another account. . . so that you can finally sign in to your second account. I have summarized the steps below the image to eradicate any confusions.

Click on Settings link on the top right corner from your GMail page.

Click on Accounts and Import tab.

From the Change account settings click on Google Account settings.

A new page opens up from where on the top right corner you will find the drop down menu that you see above.

Do check another best GMail feature – The drag and drop attachments.

It isn’t iBicycle to be precise as Apple hasn’t yet revealed the intentions behind its newly applied patent. Apple seems to have applied for a new patent which will be a computer on a bicycle. Though we already have plenty of bicycle computers around us but this time it is Apple that has entered the market. It surely is going to be big and different.

Based on the information that we have up till now, Apple is in full mood to come up with a two wheeler kind of stuff that will have GPS routing, gear settings, mapping, communication between different riders and possibly an integration with some more devices like an heart monitor. Crunch Gear speculates that this new device might have iPhone or iPod integrated with the same thus providing a platform for the already famous devices from Apple. The patent does discuss about having sensors in the bicycle that will calculate distance, incline, altitude, and all other minute details which will make your cycling a lot more fun. This being a patent still looks to be a dream but we hope Apple makes this one crazy dream.

Every Internet surfer has a Gmail account. You might not be using Yahoo!, Rediff or Hotmail but you got to use Gmail at least once. It is just because of the simplicity of Gmail and the numerable unique features that Gmail offers which makes it amazingly attractive. Recently added to its list of best Gmail features is the drag and drop feature for attachments.

From now on instead of clicking on the Download link and then providing a path where to save the attachment all that you got to do is drag your attachment to the place where you want it to be saved. One can already drag and drop a file into the Gmail mail so as to attach the file into that particular mail. This best Gmail feature was already saving plenty of time for Gmail users and now the vice versa feature that can help you drag and drop the Gmail attachment onto the destination folder to save it is another exciting best Gmail feature that everybody will love to use.

I don’t think that in near future any other emailing service will touch the neatness and cleanliness of Gmail. Just not possible!

You don’t invest unless you gain back something. You just don’t! Well, this is true in every right for business men who are here to earn money. When India launched its $35 tablet then everyone believed that it will turn out to be disastrous as technology can come for cheap but not this cheap. Indian government on the other hand must have been expecting businesses to show interest in their new development so as to attract support in form of suggestions and business ideas to take their $35 tablet to the next level. Sometimes you easily get what you dream of but so quick and in so rich form is truly surprising.

OLPC’s founder Nicholas Negroponte has written an open letter to the Indian Government where he has provided them with plenty of choices and offered them full access to their technology for ‘free’! Nicholas has invited the Indian Government to send a team to MIT and OLPC at the earliest so that they can share their thoughts with the Indian Government. Along with free technological resources, OLPC also has plenty of advices to offer for the Indian Government.

One should note that India didn’t buy into the 1 laptop per child marketing fiasco by OLPC and Nicholas has kept all this aside to be the part of India’s dream in making a $35 tablet and that too for free (at least till now). We are not sure about the kind of monetary profits that OLPC will generate if it becomes part of India’s $35 tablet mission yet we are sure that it will generate plenty of recognition on the International front if the $35 tablet somehow ends up being a success.

On the whole the Indian dream of $35 tablet has started to gain pace and we hope that at the end of the day it will be the kids that will benefit from it.
