As promised, here are the fabulous pictures of Jelena & Peter’s wedding captured by the lovely duo, Larissa & Trevor of Ambient Studios. You will be amazed that this wedding was planned in just three months!

Jelena shares with us the path to getting her dream wedding:

Our wedding day and all the planning that precedes one of the most important days in our lives was everything but a traditional North American wedding. We were engaged for three months only, and I still think that it was partly luck and partly the fact that we decided to get married in March that made everything fall into place nicely. We really were lucky to have found just the right venues and wonderful people to work with: Larissa and Trevor at Ambient Studios, Sarah at the Arts and Letters Club, Shirin my make-up artist, and Thanh my hair stylist. The only thing that gave me a headache was my wedding dress! I went on a three-day shopping marathon, dreamed of little white flowers, silk and lace, broke all the rules and took my fiancé shopping with me (you should’ve seen all the dirty looks he got) and finally found what I was looking for at the last store I went to. The seamstress worked hard to get the dress ready on time and meet my demanding expectations. I got my dress 2 days before the wedding! The fit was perfect and I could breathe again.

When we started we had no clear picture of how we wanted our day to turn out. We had a general idea of what we wanted though. We wanted our wedding to be unique, classy, simple and most importantly fun. We wanted to look and feel great, and share our wedding day with people we cared the most about – our family and closest friends.

Trevor & I had a blast working with Jelena & Pete, from the moment we met them we knew that their wedding would be something special. It was a day filled with love, laughter and a great sense of closeness- their excitement was contagious and made our jobs as photographers that much easier. These two managed to put together a wedding that was not only elegant, but unique.

My fiance will LOVE this invitation that I found on Martha Stewart Weddings. This comic-style wedding invitation was created by the groom, illustrating a story about how the couple met and what guests should expect at the wedding. The perforated reply card is a unexpected and unique touch!

Materials for each favour:
- Glue gun
- 5 Lollipops
- 7 inches
- 5/8 inch fuchsia pink ribbon
- 1 Felt Flowers with Diamonette (WedShop # 8419 -06)
- 1 Felt Butterfly (WedShop # 8420-22)
- 1 Mini White Pail with Handle (WedShop # 8412)

Three Easy Steps….

1. Using the glue gun; glue the ribbon around the top of the pail. Use the ridges on the pail as a guide to line up the ribbon.

2. Take one felt flower (or felt butterfly); glue in the centre of the pail – where the ribbon is joined by glue – to hide the seam.

3. Add five colourful lollipops and you’re done.
