Manchester based Confetti, founded in 1999, has lost 48 of its 94 staff and closed its five high street shops in Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Reading and London.

At the beginning of the decade the business grew to include a mail order division and launched the website providing a large range of weddings and party supplies.

The company had a turnover of £5.7m and its website receives nearly eight million hits a month.

It won the ’Best Wedding Website’ category in the BT Online Excellence Awards.

Today, the administrators, RSM Tenon, announced an urgent search for a buyer and set 5pm on Monday August 23 as the early closing date for offers.

The administrators said they had moved quickly to close the five stores to focus on the established online business.

Joint administrator Kenny Craig, Director with RSM Tenon in Glasgow, said: “Confetti is a very high profile market leading online brand and enjoys a large customer base.

“The business has great potential for further development and the administration presents an outstanding opportunity for a retail business or entrepreneur to acquire an immediate presence in the wedding and celebrations market.

“We would urge interested parties to make contact in the next day or two to ensure they have a chance to bid for the business.”

Forty-six jobs are being retained to support the online business and provide administrative services.

The 36-year-old singer serenaded his bride with a rendition of his hit song Angels during the wedding in Los Angeles on Saturday.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, Williams revealed details of an unconventional ceremony in which the couple walked down the aisle accompanied by their eight dogs wearing collars of flowers instead of “bridesmaids”.

He said: “The only thing that’s traditional about the wedding is the vows. No hen party, no bachelor party, no wedding showers.”

The pair tied the knot amid tight security at their Beverly Hills mansion in front of 60 guests, who were told they were going to a James Bond-themed party until moments before the ceremony started.

Williams described his 31-year-old bride, who wore a white strapless Monique Lhuillier wedding gown with a netted silk taffeta skirt and beaded corset, as the “most beautiful girl in the world”.

He said: “The setting was so magical, and to be surrounded by family and close friends and then see Ayda appear looking so radiant was almost too much for me to take … I’m the happiest man alive.”

The Take That star added that his relationship with the actress made him “a better person”.

Ford, 67, and Flockhart, 45, tied the knot at the hilltop mansion of New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who also presided over the ceremony.

Ford is currently filming sci-fi thriller Cowboys and Aliens alongside Daniel Craig in New Mexico.

The couple, who have a son, Liam – adopted by Flockhart in 2001 – met at the 2002 Golden Globes.

Whether this is the first time you’ve been asked to act as the sole wedding photographer, or you’re just there as backup, the responsibility of taking photographs at a wedding can be a huge one! Here are our ten top tips to make sure you get it right.

1) Be Prepared: Before the wedding make sure you check everything you’ll need. Charge your camera, make sure it’s got enough space for a lot of photographs, make sure there’s no dust on the lens, and so on.

2) Respect the Hired Photographer (If You Aren’t It!): If you’re not there as the “official” photographer for the day then show them respect: complement their work, don’t get in the way of it.

3) Photograph People Close Together: People will naturally pose too far apart, so try to get them closer together for better shots.

4) Make Sure Everyone In the Group Can Be Seen: You’ll often need to take photographs of very large groups at weddings, so it’s important you can see them all in the shot, and that they can all see the camera.

5) Find Out What Shots the Couple Want: It’s always a good idea to speak with the couple beforehand and find out whether they’ve got any specific ideas about the kind of shots they’d like. After all, you’re doing this for their benefit!

6) Get Photos of the Preparation and All The Important Events: Not only do you need to catch the ceremony itself, but you’ll want to get in photographs of both the bride and groom getting ready, important family members helping them out, the arrival of the guests, the bridesmaids, parents and shots of the venue and decorations.

7) Get Plenty of Candid Shots: Keep your camera on at all times while you’re there to catch those memorable moments. The candid shots are often some of the best!

8 ) Visit the Location Beforehand: It really helps to know what the location’s like before the big day to help you take advantage of what’s there, as well as check the venue lighting, and any impressive scenery you’ll want to include.

9) Be Creative: There are so many rules for wedding photography, but you can also inject your own creative flair into the day. Be bold and don’t be afraid to ask for the shots you want.

10) Keep All The Photographs: Try not to delete any photographs as you go, but instead wait until you get a chance to look at them properly or edit them into something that could look great!

The most important thing is to be on the ball and to plan in advance. Take as many photographs as possible and choose the best ones after the day. Good luck!
