After we finished shooting in downtown Laguna, we moved on to Crystal Cove to shoot pictures on the beach as the sun set. Crystal Cove has some really cool rock formations, so it was fun finding ways to incorporate them into some of the images. Watching the sun set over the ocean was a great way to end the session!

Sometimes you gotta just stand out from the crowd!

Shortly after we arrived, dark storm-like clouds started rolling in, and they helped set the scene for some cool images of the park.

It was so cold the first three days we were in Orlando, that it felt more like we were in the Northeast than Florida!  Temps dropped to the ’20s and the locals were saying they couldn’t remember the last time it was so cold.  I was wishing that I brought my nice, thick peacoat, but I decided not to because I thought to myself, “how cold could January be in Florida?”  We’ll I found out that it can be very, very cold.  So we bundled up the best we could, drank a lot of hot chocolate, and enjoyed empty theme parks for the first three days.

I took a lot of pictures with my little Canon Powershot and it was really hard narrowing down the ones I wanted to show.  In the end, I still only got it down to 54 images, so please be patient while the images load!

Here’s a view out the window of our plane shortly after we took off from the John Wayne airport.  We were treated to a beautiful sunrise that morning and I might put up some video I took of it when I find the time.

There were birds everywhere at Disney world and they all wanted our food.  I saw a bird swoop down and snag a big churro right off of a lady’s food tray!  Beware of the birds!

I took this image because we don’t see many seasonal trees with beautifully colored leaves in Southern California.

Splash Mountain at night.  I took the picture just as the flash on the ride went off.  This was one of the nights when the temp was in the 20’s or 30’s….crazy people!

Animal Kingdom was awesome!  Disney did a great job with theming and integrating animals into the park.

Jill decided to get her face painted to get into the spirit of Animal Kingdom…

The Kiliminjaro Safari was cool because you got to see the animals as if you were actually on a safari in Africa.  It was hard to get pictures though, because the driver never stopped the jeep, so I had to grab pictures fast while we were moving.

They’re cute, I know, but the cast member who worked at this exhibit said they’d bite your fingers off if you were close enough to reach your hand out!

This picture makes me laugh for some reason!

The Tree of Life

Expedition Everest…one of the best rides at Disney World.  I can’t even remember how many times we rode it!

Islands of Adventure did not disappoint!  The theming was second to none, and they had some amazing rides, namely Spiderman and Dueling Dragons.

The Hulk coaster…intense, but really fun!

The Lost Continent area.  The level of detail is amazing!

Sunset at Universal Studios Florida.  This was near the end of our trip, so I thought it’d be a good place to wrap it up.

We had such an amazing time! We went on some awesome rides, ate some delicious food, ate some not so delicious food, and we look forward to going back again!

We’re huge Disneyland fans, so going to Disney World for the first time is exciting to say the least!  We’re going to be there for about a week, so we’ll have to stay focused if we want to see and do everything on our list.

I’ll try to update our Twitter and Facebook accounts with some iPhone pics and info on what we’re up to, but I might be having too much fun to do a lot of updating.  I’ll also post some pics on the blog when we get back.  The inauguration of our new president, Disney World, and the season premiere of Lost, all in the same week….exciting times!!
