Each Saturday, we highlight a couple of children's books to stress the importance of literacy, and since this month is national poetry month, we have some poetry books to feature today.

The first is "Hip Hop Speaks To Children" by Nikki Giovanni. It's a collection of poetry with a beat, featuring contributions from Queen Latifah and Sugarhill Gang.

Next is "A Collection of Poems, Songs and Lullabies" selected by actress Julie Andrews and her daughter.

Each Saturday, we highlight a couple of children's books to stress the importance of literacy, and since baseball season is officially underway, that's what our books are about today.

The first book is "Baseball Ballerina" by Kathryn Cristaldi. It's about a little girl who finds a way to show off her ball playing skills in a ballet recital.

Next is "Here Comes The Strikeout" by Leonard Kessler. It's about Bobby, who loves baseball but always strikes out at bat, at least until a friend helps him to become a better hitter.

"Meet The Press" will go High Def May 2nd

NBC's "Meet The Press" will have a new look and begin broadcasting in HD this May. Executive producer Betsy Fischer said in a press release, "This new set offers a fresh look and added versatility that will enhance our interviews and better engage our viewers."

Watch for the debut of the revamped show on Sunday, May 2nd on WKYC, right after Channel 3 News Today.

This first one comes out at the end of May, and it's by author John Grisham. It's called "Theodore Boone, Kid Lawyer." It's a legal thriller about a murder case that a 13 year old may be able to solve. This book is for ages 8 to 12.

For the younger kids, there's a new book in the Fancy Nancy series by author Jane O'Connor. The latest one is titled, "Fancy Nancy, Poet Extradinaire". In this book, Nancy needs to come up with an original poem, and you'll find out what happens when she can't come up with a good idea.

This next book is "Easter Bunny's Amazing Egg Machine" by Wendy Cheyette Lewison. This book tells how the Easter Bunny's friends came to the rescue when his egg-coloring machine goes haywire.

Key Center is comprised of the following:

Key Tower - 57 stories high, 949 feet tall. It is the tallest structure in the state of Ohio and the tallest building located between Philadelphia and Chicago. The building contains 1,350,000 square feet. It was designed by world famous architect Cesar Pelli and opened in 1991.

Society For Savings Building - A major restoration project paralleled the construction of Key Tower. It is 10 stories high and originally opened in 1890 as Cleveland's very first "skyscraper." It was designed by architect John W. Root of the firm of Burnham and Root and was also the city's first thoroughly fire proofed commercial building.

Cleveland Marriott at Key Center - 25 floors containing 400 rooms and major ballroom and meeting facilities.

Memorial Plaza - This is a 3.9 acre public plaza with a 985 underground parking garage located on two levels. The Plaza is the home of Marshall Fredericks' Fountain of Eternal Life, a 43' high sculpture dedicated to those soldiers whose lives were lost in World Word II. It has since come to symbolize and honor those who died in other wars and now is the site of an annual memorial service honoring veterans of the Vietnam War.

Key Center was originally developed and owned by Cleveland developers Richard E. Jacobs and David H. Jacobs. Both gentlemen, now deceased, were among the most prolific national developers of regional shopping malls, office buildings, and hotels beginning in 1953 and continuing to the present. They were also the owners of the Cleveland Indians baseball franchise from 1986 through 2002, winning numerous Central Division championships and hosting two World Series events at Jacobs Field, now known as Progressive Field.

Key Center is now owned by Wells Real Estate Funds, one of the nation's preeminent owners of Class A office developments. It is managed and leased by JRES – Jacobs Real Estate Services LLC, an affiliate of The Richard E. Jacobs Group.

The building is constructed using a variety of stone materials including granite from Connecticut, Sweden, and South Dakota and marble from Italy, Scandinavia, France, and Turkey.

There are 27 elevators in Key Tower and the restored bank building. They are among the fastest in the city.

There are 25,753 light fixtures in the complex.

There are 7,974 windows located in Key Center.

Office tenants at Key Tower enjoy a wide variety of services and amenities that are not equaled by any other facility in Cleveland. These include a comprehensive concierge service, valet parking, meeting and conference facilities, catering, dry cleaning and laundry service, car washes, and other services.

Giant 'Motorcycle Swap Meet' at I-X Center

The Giant Motorcycle Swap Meet is rolling into the I-X Center Sunday March 14.

The swap meet will feature one of the largest collections of motorcycle vendors. Cyclists can see new 2010 bikes and a wide variety of used bikes, ranging from trikes to trailers.

Motorcycle lovers can buy, sell, and swap not only motorcycles, but parts, accessories and experiences at "swap meet prices," as well.

For the past 35 years, the Giant Motorcycle Swap Meet has offered "everything for rider or machine." The meet is for both the hard-core biker and casual rider alike.

The event takes places Sunday March 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-12.

Our books this week come to us from the New York Times Best Seller list. First up is the number one book on the New York Time's Best Seller list for children's books, and it's called "The Easter Egg" by Jan Brett. This book is about caring and also spring time. Jan Brett has many other wonderful books.

Next is "The Lion and The Mouse" illustrated by Jerry Pinkney. It contains very few words, but it's the illustrations that will tell the story of kindness. It is fourth on the New York Times Best Seller list.
