t's been a heck of a week for Hollywood, with three celebrity deaths and the release of one of this year's biggest blockbuster films. We offer up our reviews of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, My Sister's Keeper, and Away We Go, pontificate on just how real reality programming can be when the cameras start to roll (looking specifically at Jon & Kate Plus 8, and remember Michael Jackson with someone who was lucky enough to see him in concert. It's Father's Day 2009, and the first celebration of the holiday by Rafe. As usual, Father's Day means an appearance by The Podcast Dad. Also, a discussion of Michael Moore's latest "trailer" and how it ties into the early days of his career, what we've been watching (and how to tell good classic movies from the bad ones), and some of our favorite movie fathers.

Weekly Blend 185: Adventure is Out There

If last weekend was a mediocre weekend for releases, this weekend was a tremendous one. Both Rafe and Margaret offer up reviews of Pixar's Up and talk about a bevy of remake and prequel news to hit this week, including Alien, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tomb Raider, and other fan favorites.
