Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima

Friday the 13th was truly a lucky day for all of us nearby Angeles City and the Angeleños as well as the original pilgrim image of Our Lady of Fatima from Portugal visited us and stayed in Holy Rosary Parish Church. It was a short notice yet a meaningful one for those who witnessed Her. Its not everyday that the pilgrim image come and stay here.

The stay was a really short one because the pilgrim image came at past four o'clock in the afternoon and left at ten in the evening of the same day. I'm so blessed to have come and visit before I went to work. They held a mass at around 5:30 or six in the afternoon and gave the church goers the chance to solemnly pray, write their petitions, and donate some money for a cause.

The bishop said that the pilgrim image will be transferred to the San Fernando Cathedral later that night. I was hoping to see and visit the next day but I was clueless as to until what time will the image stay in the Cathedral. Nonetheless, I am so thankful for letting me see Her here.

I was at work last week, when suddenly, I remembered a story about a kid who found a man, trapped in a cryonic freezer. Weeks later, the man started to grow old very fast, from dark to white hair, young and tight skin to old and loose skin. That's all I could remember about it. At first, I thought it was an imagination, but when I told my colleague about it, she told me she knew that story as well. Actually, if she didn't knew it, I would try to search, search and search. The thing with me is that when I have something in my mind, like this story, that I couldn't think of, what title, or who are the cast, I will not be able to sleep until I finally have the information with me. Thanks to Google as well.

If my memory serves me right, this was the very first movie that I've ever seen in my entire life. Thanks to my colleague, she helped me remember the title, the cast of characters, and the ending of the story. That same day, I wrote "Forever Young" on my download list, hoping that soon, I'll be able to watch it again.

NATGEO Earth Day Run

Arrrggghh! I've been thinking really hard if I'll sign up for this or not. I already had a chance to sign up yesterday but I was having second thoughts if I will be able to finish it. The only ones open for online registration until yesterday were the 10k and the 21k run. It's going to be my first time if I'll be joining this race and I will need to condition my body ifever.

I'm hoping my friend gets to sign me up for that 10k run so I could still take part for the said race.

I regret the moment I let this chance passed. Anyway, I still have until April 3, 2011 to sign up via Green Belt 3 cash registration. I'm not sure if I could go there once my schedule changes to Friday - Saturday rest day but it's going to be okay because the shirts being given to participants are limited edition.

Hoping to join the run in next year's race!

My friends and I had a get together today because finally after two straight years, one of our friends went home for a vacation. We really missed seeing her, and when we saw her it was like "College days".

My bestfriend finally had her wish come true when we decided to dine in at a Thai Restaurant. Months before, my bestfriend was asking me if I know a restaurant which serves Thai cuisine. It so happen that my officemate knew one, so I suggested it to her.

Here are some of the foodies that we ate at Siam House in Fields Avenue, Angeles City.

Pad Thai

The number one on your list should be Pad Thai. It is made of flat noodles with shrimps, pork, bean sprouts and finely chopped peanuts which makes it so delicious!

Spicy Soup

This spicy soup has tomatoes, chicken bits, ginger, chili, onions and leeks. I won't go for this if I were you. ^^

Binagoongan Rice

I love this binagoongan rice! It has shrimps, scrambled eggs, raw mangoes, bagoong and rice.

Fish Cakes

This one's fried fish with spicy sauce. Try it!

Sauted oriental spinach with shrimps. In simple term, kangkong with shrimps.

Who is Domo - Kun?

What's the fuss with Domo - kun? I see him everywhere! From stuffed toys to jacket to bags etc. I even see him in TV commercials.

I did some research and found out that Domo is actually a mascot used by Japan's NHK television station. Now I know why he's so famous and everywhere. When my friend and I are in the mall and we see Domo, we always ask the storekeeper. "Who is Domo - kun?" and their answer: "Uhm.. I don't know, but what I do know is he's a Japanese character".

Whoever he is, he will remain famous as this large and strange - looking, colored brown creature with saw-toothed mouth that is locked wide open. Now, if someone asks me: "Who is Domo - kun", I know the answer!

Wow! After nineteen years, Starbucks decided to start a new chapter of their company - first by changing their logo. It's evolution from brown to green, from full-bodied siren to half-body, and now without the name Starbucks Coffee. It made me wonder what's next? Whatever it is, I'm still glad that they're still committed to bring about quality coffee all the time. ^^p

Lassie the Hopdog

This is my dog Lassie. She's one of the two dogs who guards our house. I probably should call her Hopdog because she always hop on us when we go out in our backyard. Even if we are all dressed up like when we go to work, she wouldn't care if we would have a mark of her feet.

We already had a dog named Lassie after the character in a dog movie. Actually, I wasn't the one who named her like that. Her name was given by her original owner. I had the habit of naming our dogs from the time they are given to us. Tell you what, the two dogs we have right now were pre-named by their owner that is why we didn't bother to change their existing names.

I'm also glad that both dogs are in pefect health. I love them both for that even if they're quite afraid of me. haha! I wish I could find some time to bathe them. Those ticks are really annoying especially when they crawl into our house. Yaiks!

Wow! This is one great addition to the Rubik's family. Aside from the Rubik's 360 and Rubik's Revolution, this is really one "See Me. Touch Me. Solve Me" game gadget. This is the first ever full touchscreen rubik's cube, wherein all you need to do is to slide the cubes like in iPhone! It also gives you a hint when you're stuck at one point.

Another telenovela series premiered last night in ABS-CBN primetime block. It is entitled Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin(I Will Only Love You Once) and has powercast like and Ronaldo Valdez, Amy Austria, John Estrada, Lorna Tolentino, Dante Rivero, Boots Anson-Roa, Maja Salvador, Andi Eigenmann, and Coco Martin.

As the poster says, the story will circle around patriotism, love, and family. I'm quite sure that it'll be a big hit! Good luck to the show and cast.

I was able to watch the pilot episode last night, and it turned out pretty good. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to watch it daily because I work during graveyard shift. I don't have any intentions of watching it via any video streaming sites even if I have time. haha ^^p

Yes, you heard it right! Finally, after three weeks, The Price Is Right of ABS-CBN goes LIVE starting today March 7, 2011. Hosted by the Queen of Game Shows Ms. Kris Aquino and voice over provided by The Riches, The Amazing Race Asia 4 winners Richard Hardin and Richard Herrera.

The Price Is Right is indeed the longest running game show in the world and now captivating the hearts of Filipinos all around the world with this new game show from ABS-CBN. It's now making Pinoys become price conscious with every thing that they buy.

The game mechanics also changed due to time constraint and because for a fact that it is now airing LIVE. From four contestants in winning minor showcases, it's now down to three, all three winners get to make two spins and whoever is closest to 100 without going over will play the Jackpot Showcase. I've got a huge crush on this watch. The first time I saw it, t'was love at first sight. My friend was wearing it the last time I visited him. I really wanted to ask as to what brand it is but I rather kept my mouth shut and do some research over the Internet. Lucky enough, when I googled "watch with hole in the middle", it readily gave me what I was looking for.

Thirty Seconds To Mars - Hurricane

This is the first time I've heard the song "Hurricane" by 30 Seconds to Mars and it's really nice. I like it a lot that it convinced me to download their album entitled "This Is War". Not only that I put it on my iPod, I even put them on my phone coz I can't get enough listening to the album.

Additionally, I also download their first album entitled "A Beautiful Lie", where my all time favorite song "The Kill" is included. Gotta love 30 Seconds to Mars. ^^;
