What is Sissy Plapping?

Before we talk about what sissy plapping is, I suppose we should talk about what plapping is, in general. What Does A Good Sissy Do?

Skin Care Routine Tips

I always found skin care a bit confusing when I was learning but I had people I could ask all my silly little questions to… and now you do too! But let me see if I can give you a few tips on how to make a skin routine work for you. Know that you will need to invest some time in this routine, as it’s best to allow each product to sink into the skins for several minutes before moving on to the next product, as the skin can only take in so much product before it becomes saturated.

Order of Skin Care Products

This is the big thing that kept me confused for years, so let me save you the troubles I experienced.

1. Cleansing: If you are double washing your face, start with the oil based cleanser and then move onto the water based cleanser. Double washing is recommended on days you have make up. When using an oil based cleanser, work into skin by massaging into circles for 2 minutes before washing off to truly cleanse the skin.
2. Toner: The next step is any toners you may have, to prep the skin.
3. Essences/Boosters: Essences are distinct from toners because they are depositing product on skin and they are designed to be left on. A booster serum is also designed to prep skin to take in more product. If you are using both, the order is not crucial.
4. Water based Serums: Water based serums come next, before your moisturizer. If you have an oil based serum, use this on your last step before sunscreen, as it will prevent absorption of additional product.
5. Moisturizer: After you have applied any water based serums, it is time for your moisturizer.
6. Oil Based Serums: Once you have applied your moisturizer, then you can apply any oil based products you may be using, including face oil.
7. Sunscreen: Your final step to protect your skin is sunscreen.

Skin Care Product Reviews

There is truly nothing more central to a pretty face than tending to your skin. Our skin is our canvas, and you want your canvas moist and plumb so it doesn’t draw your make up into those fine lines or cake on your face. Honestly, since I upped my skin care game, I don’t even wear a full face of make up all the time anymore. I love the look of my skin, glowing and luminous on its own. When it comes to skin care, nobody in the game beats Korean skincare in terms of effectiveness and cost effectiveness. Their regulatory process is a lot more streamlined than ours is, so innovation hits the market decades faster. There are three major brands that I use to achieve that pretty glow you see on my pretty face- CosRX, Beauty of Josean, and Medicube. And I’m about to show you why I call myself product whore.

CosRX Skin Care

CosRX Snail Mucin 6/10: I like this product, but its also one of the first I am willing to leave off my face. I likely will not purchase again just because I found so many other things that worked for me better.

CosRX 6 Peptide Skin Booster 9/10: I honestly love this product. Its a watery serum that is the first step after toning the skin. It helps prep the skin to receive more product, and it feels so good on my face. I always feel snatched after I put it on for some reason. Its also a great value- one bottle last longer than 3 months, maybe even up to 6 months. Its truly huge.

Beauty of Josean Skin Care

So if you are a smart shopper, and shop the bundles, you can get a 60 day supply of an entire regime for around $115, including a cleanser, toner, face serum, eye serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen. So it is rather affordable and works beautifully.

Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser 6/10: I like this cleanser and will likely buy it again, but nothing stands out other than it is gentle, effective, and makes my skin glow.

Ginseng Cleansing Oil 9/10: This is hands down the best oil cleanser I have ever used, because the emulsifying impacts. Basically, once you add water to an oil based cleanser, it turns into a milky glaze and this product does that better than any I have seen, and my skin feels sooo clean and soft.

Ground Rice and Honey Glow Mask 10/10: Love this mask- gentle, effective, smells great. Makes my skin glow and smooths any texture that I may have.

Ginseng Essense Water 5/10: Meh- its ok. I do like it but I like the CosRX 6 peptide booster 100x more so I dont use it too frequently.

Green Plum Refreshing Toner 6/10: Same with this product- it works just fine but I have other products I like more so I don’t use it much.

Glow Replenishing Rice Milk 9/10: LOVE this toner, which is likely why I don’t get a lot of use with the green plum toner. It feels so good sliding on and definitely makes my skin glow.

Glow Serum 20/10: I love this serum sooooo much. It has the consistency of honey without the stickiness and feels so good on my face that I almost always do that super girly close the eyes and sigh thing when I am putting it on my face.

Revive Eye Serum 8/10: The dark circles under my eyes went away with this product so yeah, me likey. A little goes a LONG way, and I have found that the corners of my mouth crack if I put it there, so user beware.

Dynasty Cream 8/10: I love the way this cream makes my skin look, but it does leave a slighty tacky feeling on my skin that goes away after an hour or two. But this is another one of those products that makes my face look snatched right up, and leaves it feeling firm, moist and plump.

Ginseng Moist Sun Serum 10/10: I fucking HATE sunscreen. I hate the smell, the white cast, the texture of it. This is the first mineral sun screen I have tried and its like a gel serum that melts right into your face and has skin tightening and glowing products in it. This is hands down the best sunscreen I have ever tried and its SPF 50++. Side note: if you use any retinol product, like the Revive Eye Serum, than sunscreen is a must.

Medicube Skin Care

So Medicube is a new to me skin care line thats huge on tik tok. Yes, I have been influenced, lol. But it frequently has VERY affordable bundles, with a popular 9 piece set going for $84. And its great stuff, so let’s get into it.

Age R Booster Pro Machine 100/10: This was actually gifted to me by a very sweet subby and the way it has utterly transformed my skin. Basically, it makes every single product you use absorb and work about 700% times better, or some crazy number like that. It retails for around $300 and is worth every penny. I use it daily and cannot praise it enough. It has 4 settings but I use the booster setting most. It has an air shot comparable to microneedling too, which boosts collagen by inducing planned damage and then allow collagen to reform. If the Booster Pro is too pricey, try just the Booster Model since its the most impactful (for me) mode anyways.

Super Cica Deep Cleansing Balm: Love this balm! Its a solid that melts into your skin like a cleansing oil and emulsifies just like it. Great product that leaves my face feeling and looking fresh.

Collagen Jelly Cream 7/10: Listen the cream works great and leaves the skin plumb and firm, but it does leave it tacky for a good 2 hours or so. This is for a nighttime routine and I love the results, but don’t actually love the product’s feeling on my face. I have taken to using it under my eyes with the Age R Booster Pro and that’s quite nice.

Triple Collagen Cream 7.5/10: This cream also leaves my skin feeling weird, but not so much tacky as coated. It is great to use with the Age R Booster Pro because it provides a nice base to slide it along the face, and I tend to use it mostly for that.

Triple Collagen Serum 8.5/10: This is a pretty great serum. It smells nice, doesnt leave my face tacky, and plumbs the skin.

Collagen Glow Booster Serum 9/10: This comes in a large novelty syringe, and is a great last step. It feels great on the skin, sort of like BOJ Glow Serum, and gives the skin a radiant glow.

Triple Collagen Toner 8.5/10: Love this toner. It is a thick, almost gelatinous consistency and leave the face feeling nice and plumb.

PDRN Pink Peptide Serum 9/10: I really like the pink peptide line, as far as what I have tried. I will explore more in this line. Its light instead of heavy like some Medicube products, and melts into the skin.

One Day Exosome Shot 7500 7/10: This product appears to work really well, but it has a lower score just because I am a bit sensitive to the product itself. I ordered the stronger version, and I am considering ordering the weaker version just to see if I like it better. My brain is shouting that spending the same money on a weaker version is a horrible idea but if I wont use the stronger product because it irritates me, well, it may not be such a bad idea after all. It is essentially microneedling in a bottle, so it sticks you with microscopic needles and feels like rubbing glass on your face, but the results are pretty good.

Zero Pore Pad 2.0 10/10– FUCKING LOVE THIS LINE. This is a great toner product and I see the difference when I have used it in the morning. My skin looks smoother and like glass when I have used it.

Zero Pore 1 Day Serum 10/10– Likewise this is just about my favorite serum after BOJ Glow Serum. It does leave my skin tacky if I work it too much, but generally goes away with the next layer of skin care so it doesnt bother me as much. But the results- I mean, what pores? Where? I very much plan to try this entire Zero Pore line, it works so well.

Closing Thoughts on Skin Care

So listen- did I live up to my “product whore” nickname or what? I honestly left out about 10 products I have tried this year alone, but what can I say- I get bored easily and require lots of novelty. You do not need 23+ products or to spend a fortune on a great skin care regime. Some of us do a little too much, you know? (Me, it’s totally me). But I really do encourage you to attend to your skin; there is almost nothing in my grooming routine that makes me feel sexier than when I have luminous, glowing, glass skin.
