Insanity?

It’s Day 13 of NaVloPoMo09. And yes, this story is true. I talked a bit about my past in my 10 Seconds post. As I said then, I haven’t vlogged a lot about it. A few reasons why…it’s intensely personal, I don’t know how people will receive it and honestly I am not sure what the point is in talking about it anymore. I thought about that last reason a lot when I was debating on making this post. “Why am I doing this?” “What do I hope to accomplish?” I also thought about how my parents are different people than they were then…talking about this stuff could hurt them and I don’t want that.

But I decided to do it because at the end of the day, my story is one of hope. You may know someone or you may be someone who is struggling with the bonds of your past and I can honestly say, that it doesn’t have to be that way. You can overcome, you can break those bonds….through faith, through friends, through the knowledge that you are more than the sum of your parts.

I chose to tell the story in the manner that I did, because, well….because I can…. and the pace and flow fits how I often remember my past. A jumbled mess of sound and images…

To all those who overcame and to those who will…..

Today is Veteran’s Day in the U.S. This is some footage I shot while in DC a couple of years ago. I think a lot about they guys and gals serving now….I wonder after 8 years war what will they remember 20 years from now….I wonder what they have missed, the birth of their child, their first words, their first steps. I wonder about the parents, the wife’s, the sons and daughters whose father or mother is no longer coming home. I wonder…..

It’s day 10 of NaVloPoMo09

I am not 100% sure if I like this video or not…I had an idea that I thought was good, but then I started editing and it wasn’t working, so I went in another direction and I liked the visuals but not the sounds, I tried a bunch of things and nothing seemed “right”, so I went with this. I am not sure if it feels “right” but it doesn’t feel “wrong” so I went with it….

It’s late and I need to put this video to bed, so I can go to bed…

A long day

Today was a long day….from the moment I stepped into work, it was one issue after another. It happens and on the bright side, I am employeed. But sometimes you just have a hard day at work. So this is how I sorta felt this evening.

I really have no idea why I am using a lot of overlays right now, I guess I am just going through one of my moods….

1st Comic/Toy show

This past Saturday there was a comic/toy convention here in Cincinnati. They are never really big here for some reason, but that’s another story for another day. But since we had Jaymisen this weekend I thought it would be the perfect time and show to take him to.

So here are some of the sites and sounds from his first convention. Oh and the guy who was saying Jaymisen was the smartest baby in the world….never met him before that day, really…and it did sound like he said “Batman” but I’ll be darned if he will repeat it….babies…lol

I really had no idea what to do today. After seeing my post you will probably think, I still don’t. I was searching through old footage and I found this little bit of video from Sept. I started playing around with it and this is what I came up with. Why? I don’t know, hence the name….but I think it looks cool, so….here it is.
