While Glenna and I are in San Diego we decieded to drive to Coronado….we have one free day before we start helping James set up his booth for the San Diego Comic Con….that would be the worlds largest pop culture, comic, etc, etc event in the whole world…..anyway we did all kinds of stuff on our free day but for me, what I filmed at Coronado made the day. As most of you know I was in the Army, it’s how Glenna and I met, and I still have the upmost respect for the armed forces. Especialy groups like the Seals, Rangers, SF, etc. It takes a certain kind of person to want to and be able to make it through the training. For every 10 that volunter to be a Seal, 7-8 will not make it….

I’ve the privlage of meeting some Seals, some Rangers, even some MI6 fellows…..and I am glad there are those who are still willing to join the military. It’s not an easy life, I know….I still think about my time and some things I will never forget……

I hope you enjoy this brief glimpse, these fellows are in week 2, they were training mid day, in the hot sun, running to the ocean, paddling out to sea, coming back in over the rocks and waves, in full uniform (when those things get wet, they weigh a ton) , carring the boat which weighs….what must feel like a ton, over their heads, it can’t touch their heads, btw, any infranction, any deviation and you are “corrected”….all this while people are watching…….tough is too mild a word for how that must feel…..but still they did it, over and over again for hours…..it makes me look at my fat gut and feel guilty……

I found this footage sitting on my hard drive, from Jan of 2006….It was just a few days after I got the Batmobile and I was sooo in love with it….it shows you how much of a kid I still am….. Seriously…..

Ok, here it is! The great Botcon video face off!! Long story short, I started working on a version of the video, I wasn’t sure if I liked it. But instead of scrapping it, I finished it and then made a “new” version as well. Which one is better? YOU tell me! So vote early and vote often! And let me know what you liked and what you didn’t like..

As an fyi there are some minor tweaks to each video, one should be obvious and the others….well let me know if you spot them! The “quicktime” version is video 1, the “Apple TV” is video 2. Later I might seperate out the video’s into their own post but for the moment, this is whatca get!

This is from Hulu, it gave me chills! I can’t wait till July 18th!

A while back I made this video about my buddies Eddie and Randy. This time we went over to Randy’s house for some dinner and some good company. I am a lucky guy, I have some great friends and these types of video’s are some of my favorite. Not just of me and my friends but when I see other vlogs as well. It’s just something about a moment in time, capturing the fun and the fellowship. The ribbing, the boasting, the stories, etc. It’s just fun to me. I often think that years from now, when I am no longer vlogging or what not, I will look back at these memories and I will smile. I mean who doesn’t look back at fond times and smile and laugh and raise a drink to friends…..

Oh and the little bit after the end is for me to prove to Eddie that he is wrong! Enjoy and I hope it takes you back to a time with your family and friends, a time of fun and friendship!

This is a commercial I did for a horror convention called…..Horror Hound. Hence the title of the post. I really need to learn to come up with some witty post names I think. Anyway, I met the guys that do Horror Hound through my buddy Rob. They also put out a horror magazine called….Horror Hound. I know! Anyway, as kind of a way, to put more of my “professional” work out there, I did a commercial for them. They really like it and I do too. So I hope you all enjoy! And if you are into horror and stuff you should check them out. They are great guys and put on one hell of a show! (evil laugh)..

I love roller coasters, I mean I love them. I have a season pass to Kings Island home of one of the best, if not the best wooden roller coasters in the world, The Beast! And since I videoblog, I thought……well see for yourselves!

As I am sure most of you are aware Glenna and I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago. For us it wasn’t just the destination it was the journey. I have to say it was one of the best vacations we have ever had. We saw a lot of fun things and I saw things that stirred my very soul. Gettysburg was one of the places that moved me greatly.

I am a big history buff and when I found out that Gettysburg was just a couple of hours away from Jay and Ryanne’s, well I just had to go. It is an interesting place, not at all what I was expecting. It had been a long time since I had even read about the Civil War. But being there….looking at the grounds, looking at all the monuments…it really does speak to you. I think for most of us (in America) the Civil War is just something so very far away, something to just read about in a book. It means much more to me now that I have been to that hallowed place. Brother against brother, friend against friend, father against son.

Before the Civil War, it really was just a loose conferderation of states, after the war we became the United States of America….

Today I got to see the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution at the National Archives. It was a unique experience. Being in DC the last couple of days has been….almost hard for me to put into words….seeing the monuments, the Capital Building, etc….everyone should go at least once. Enjoy this bit of history…
