Kellie Pickler Wins Dancing With The Stars

Country star Kellie Pickler waltzed her way to victory and was crowned winner of TV competition Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday.
The singer saw off competition from Disney actress Zendaya, American football player Jacoby Jones and former Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman to take home the mirrorball trophy with her professional partner Derek Hough.
During the two-hour show, Pickler won over the judges and audiences by performing a barefoot freestyle dance, as well as an upbeat jive routine to Rockin’ Robin.
After she was declared the winner, Pickler exclaimed, “This is amazing! Oh my God!”
She later took to her Twitter.com page to thank fans for their support, writing, “I’ll never ever forget this night! Love y’all so much! Thanks so much for voting!”
The finale of the 16th season also featured musical performances by former Dancing With The Stars contestant Wynonna Judd and South Korean sensation Psy.

David Spade Donates $200,000 To Oklahoma Tornado Victims

Comedian David Spade has handed $200,000 to the victims of the deadly tornado in Oklahoma on Monday.
The funnyman’s generous donation to the American Red Cross will be used for relief efforts in the state after the natural disaster ripped through a suburb of Oklahoma City, claiming at least 20 lives and leaving more than 200 injured.
Spade was inspired to help out after his own terrifying experience with a twister, telling EOnline.com, “When I was four, I moved from Michigan to Arizona and our house got hit by a tornado a week later. Always been scared of them. I know the Red Cross will do everything they can to help people get the help they need.”
The Tommy Boy star also took to his Twitter.com page to urge his followers to give to the cause, writing, “Hey everyone, obviously brutal in midwest w (with) tornadoes. I just kicked some money to (the) red cross… try to give a bit if u (you) can.”
The actor has never shied away from helping out the organization – in 2011, Spade gave $200,000 to the Red Cross following a devastating tornado outbreak in Alabama.

David Bowie Pays Tribute To Trevor Bolder

Rock icon David Bowie has paid tribute to his former bandmate Trevor Bolder after the bassist lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday.
The 62-year-old Uriah Heep star got his big break in the 1970s as a member of Bowie’s backing band Spiders From Mars, and appeared on the star’s classic albums Hunky Dory and Aladdin Sane.
Now Bowie has offered his condolences in a touching statement posted on his Facebook.com page, which reads, “Trevor was a wonderful musician and a major inspiration for whichever band he was working with. But he was foremostly (sic) a tremendous guy, a great man.”
Bolder bowed out of Uriah Heep a few months ago when his health deteriorated, and the band’s lead guitarist Mick Box has hailed him as a great friend.
Box says, “Trevor was a world-class bass player, singer and songwriter, and more importantly a world-class friend. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and rock fans all over the world. We are all numb to the core.”

Blake Shelton Organising TV Benefit For Oklahoma Victims

Country star and Oklahoma native Blake Shelton is organising a benefit concert for victims of the tornado that ravaged his home state on Monday.
The Voice mentor, who was born in Ada, Oklahoma, is working swiftly to plan a TV special to pull in much-needed funds for the thousands left homeless by the devastating storm.
He tells Billboard.com, “We’ll know more about it in the next 24 hours. I’m hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly.”
The singer, who still has a home in Oklahoma, hinted that his The Voice co-stars Usher, Shakira and Adam Levine will make appearances, adding, “I can call in some really big favors.”
Shelton and his wife Miranda Lambert paid tribute to Oklahoma victims on the talent show on Tuesday night by performing their emotional ballad Over You.

Chris Brown And On-again Girlfriend Involved In Car Accident

Embattled R&B star Chris Brown suffered more car trouble on Tuesday when he accidentally hit another motor while driving through Beverly Hills with his on-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
After crashing his Porsche into a wall back in February, Brown was taking down insurance details again after he reportedly rear-ended a black Mercedes.
Brown and Tran were on their way to the studio when the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon.
X17.com reports no one was hurt and cops were not called to the scene.
Brown split from model Tran last year to embark on a new romance with another ex, Rihanna, but that relationship has since fizzled out and the Kiss Kiss hitmaker appears to be back with his former flame.

Ke$ha Slammed Over Urine-drinking Stunt

Ke$Ha is facing a backlash from officials at the Parent Television Council (PTC) after footage of her drinking her own urine was shown on TV.
The TiK ToK hitmaker was caught on camera guzzling her pee on Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, which aired on MTV on Tuesday.
Campaigners at the PTC are fuming over the “disgusting, vile” scene, and are now demanding cable TV providers allow customers to have control over the content which enters their homes.
A statement from PTC President Tim Winter reads, “If given the opportunity, I can’t imagine that parents would want to pay for a cable network that airs an episode of a pop star drinking her own urine…
“Why should we have to pay for this kind of garbage just so we can get access to (other networks bundled with MTV) Discovery, Disney, or the Golf Channel? It’s outrageous – and it shouldn’t be that way. Consumers deserve choice. We should all have the ability to choose and pay for only the channels we want to watch.”

Jessica Chastain dazzled at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday as she attended the 50th anniversary screening of Cleopatra wearing a diamond and sapphire Bulgari necklace once owned by Elizabeth Taylor.
The movie star hit the red carpet in a basic white Versace gown so as to highlight the priceless gems around her neck – a gift to Taylor from her then-lover and Cleopatra co-star Richard Burton, who fell in love with the screen beauty on the set.
Chastain still couldn’t believe she had been chosen to model the great movie dame’s jewels at Cannes, telling reporters, “I call them the Cleopatra jewels because Richard Burton bought them for Elizabeth Taylor when they fell in love when they were shooting Cleopatra. I’m so excited to be wearing them.
“They looked so fabulous on her and she was a movie star from her head to her toes. That kind of glamorous star doesn’t exist anymore but the diamonds do.”

Jesse James Accidentally Chops Off Finger

Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James has chopped off the tip of his little finger after an accident in his car workshop.
The reality TV mechanic posted a photo of his mangled digit on his Instagram.com blog on Tuesday, but he didn’t appear to be too concerned about the injury.
In the accompanying caption, he wrote, “Doesn’t look like this little dude’s gonna make it, Nice know’n (sic) you little buddy.”
James has since revealed he suffered the injury while using a mechanical saw at his Dallas, Texas garage – but he barely noticed.
Calling in to news show TMZ Live while waiting at his local hospital, he explains, “I was working in the shop today and my glove got caught into one of the machines and just smashed it, took my finger off. I didn’t even know my finger had got cut off until I got five steps away and I was like, ‘Oh man, I think my finger got cut off.’
“My wife (drag racer Alexis DeJoria) and I were on the floor looking around for the piece of finger so we could put it on ice and haul a** (hurry) to the hospital.”
Despite their best efforts, the detached part of the finger was not salvageable and James is now set to undergo surgery to seal the wound.
He adds, “They (doctors) said it’s gone. They’re gonna take a skin graft off the chunk of finger and just sew it back on (the injured stump)…”
But James insists he’s feeling fine – and has even turned down medication to numb the pain before his operation: “They’re totally trying to give me morphine but I’m like, ‘No, I’m fine, I’m cool, I’m all right. I’ll just take the pain’. I’m fine… It’s not that bad, dude.”

Ashley Tisdale Obtains Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

Actress Ashley Tisdale has been granted a temporary restraining order against an overzealous male fan amid fears the devotee will gun her down.
The High School Musical star claims Nicholas Fiore has been harassing her since last year and has bombarded her with more than 18,000 messages via Twitter.com.
She recently turned to Los Angeles police to investigate the matter, and she decided to file legal papers herself in Los Angeles County Superior Court in a bid to keep Fiore away.
In the documents, Tisdale reveals some of the tweets have featured song lyrics that reference guns, and the 27 year old has interpreted the lines as threats against her life and that of her boyfriend, musician Christopher French.
She also alleges that Fiore has twice turned up outside her property and once attempted to gain access to her home by posing as a delivery man, reports TMZ.com.
She stated, “If an immediate order is not granted… (Fiore) will attempt to cause or cause severe bodily harm to myself and my boyfriend.”
Tisdale’s request for a protective order was approved last week, but the judge only agreed to impose a ban of 100 yards (91.4 metres) on Fiore, instead of the 5,000 yards (4572 metres) she had asked for.
A hearing into the matter has been set for 5 June, when it will be determined if the order should be made permanent.
