Chris Brown Under Fire From Pink And Husband For Allegedly Lip-syncing

Pink has taken aim at R&B star Chris Brown for allegedly lip-syncing through his performance at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.
The Kiss Kiss hitmaker dazzled fans with a show-stopping performance of his new single Turn Up The Music at the star-studded ceremony in Las Vegas, and the gig had viewers in awe as BMX bike stunt troupes raced and spun on ramps on the stage behind him.
But So What hitmaker Pink was far from impressed by the high-frills show and she took to Twitter.com to call out Brown for focusing more on the visuals and less on the vocals.
She tweeted, “one day if i lipsync (sic), i hope i do it as well as him…”
Pink famously completed her own BMX-themed rendition of Raise Your Glass at the 2010 American Music Awards – all while pregnant with her daughter Willow – and the pop star’s supportive motocross racer husband Carey Hart, insists his wife did a much better job, adding, “Im (sic) pretty sure i saw my wife did (sic) that same performance, but she was 3 months pregnant and actually sang the song”.
And Hart continued to hurl insults on Monday, adding, “I love twitter! To clarify i was talkin (sic) trash bout CB performance, 2 years ago my wife had the same set and actually sang ‘Raise ur Glass’.”

David Bowie’s Son To Direct Fleming Biopic – Report

David Bowie’s filmmaker son Duncan Jones is slated to make a new movie about James Bond creator Ian Fleming.
The acclaimed Moon director is in the running to direct the biopic, based on Andrew Lycett’s biography The Man Behind James Bond, according to Internet reports.
Casting officially is underway as studio bosses hunt for the man who will play the celebrated novelist.
Fleming’s life was last turned into a movie back in 1990 when James Bond star Sean Connery’s son Jason took on the role of the suave writer in The Secret Life of Ian Fleming.
Charles Dance also played Fleming in fact-based biopic Goldeneye in 1989. That film focused on the author’s wartime exploits and romantic adventures, which ultimately led to his creation of 007.
Deadline.com reports the new Bond biopic will start shooting later this year – as fans of the film franchise celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of Dr. No, the first official James Bond movie.

Cliff Richard And Tim Rice Offer Tributes To Tragic Gibb

British music heavyweights Sir Cliff Richard and Sir Tim Rice have joined the flood of celebrities paying tribute to Robin Gibb, who died on Sunday.
Sad Richard insists the Bee Gees star is “gone too soon”, but leaves behind a “stunningly good” back catalogue of hits, while revered lyricist Rice calls the singer “a charming man”.
Rice says, “I saw him only a couple of weeks ago. He wasn’t at all well but was putting up a marvellous fight. It’s a terrible loss for the music industry.”
Gibb had been battling multiple illnesses in recent months, including colon and liver cancer and intestinal issues. He fell into a coma last month after contracting pneumonia, but appeared to be on his way to recovery.
Sir Cliff adds, “We are a fraternity of people who sing pop and rock and Robin is another one of us who’s gone too soon, too early. So the legacy will be what the Bee Gees did, which was stunning, stunningly good stuff – right on a par with the Beatles.”
Former Beatle Ringo Starr also offered his thoughts about Gibb’s passing, telling the BBC: “Robin will be remembered as a musician and as a singer and part of The Bee Gees. The legacy they’ll leave behind is Stayin’ Alive, the harmonies and the songs that they’ve written.”
And Dionne Warwick, who scored a hit with Bee Gees tune Heartbreaker, remembers Robin Gibb as “a wonderful jokester,” adding, “He had an incredibly witty sense of humour and was fun to be around. All three of them (Gibb brothers) were sensational gentlemen first, just fun-loving guys.”
Meanwhile, John Travolta, who starred in Saturday Night Fever – the film that propelled the Bee Gees to disco superstardom in the 1970s thanks to their soundtrack work, has released a statement on Gibb’s death, calling the singer “one of the most wonderful people.” He adds, “(He was) gifted, generous, and a real friend to everyone he knew. And we’ll miss him.”

Justin Timberlake is set to marry his love of music and movies by composing the soundtrack to his fiancee’s new movie The Devil In The Deep Blue Sea.
Jessica Biel will star alongside Chloe Moretz and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the drama about a widower’s efforts to help a teenager achieve her dream of sailing across the Atlantic Ocean on a raft – and Timberlake has signed on as the project’s composer and music supervisor.
Bill Purple will direct the film, which was announced at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Monday. It will start shooting later this year.
Morgan will play the widower, Biel his dead wife and Moretz the adventurous youngster. Biel will also serve as producer.
The film is part of a six-movie deal announced at Cannes by AngelWorld Entertainment.

Pete Doherty’s Debut Movie Provokes Mixed Reaction At Cannes

British rocker Pete Doherty’s debut role on the big screen has divided critics at the Cannes Film Festival.
The musician plays Octave in director Sylvie Verheyde’s version of the Alfred de Musset classic Confession of a Child of the Century, which was unveiled at the festival in France on Sunday.
But The Libertines star’s acting skills in his first movie outing have drawn a mixed reaction from critics.
A reviewer for the BBC insisted Doherty’s “personality or charm” has been “sucked out of him” by the director, adding, “It is difficult to recall a less charismatic lead performance in any other film. However, to suggest it is completely Doherty’s fault would do him a disservice.”
A Screen Daily critic branded Doherty’s role a “calamitous miscasting”, blasted his “mumbled lines” and “wooden performance”, and said the rocker wears a “permanently bored expression” and “looks like he’d rather be somewhere else” for much of the movie.
And a review on Cine-Vue.com concludes, “Doherty, like a sixth former (student) who hasn’t learnt his lines for drama class, fidgets throughout Confession of a Child of the Century and seems constantly surprised when it is his cue.”
However, The Independent writer Geoffrey Macnab insists Doherty was “perfectly cast” and “projects an air of decadence and debauchery”. He adds that the Brit is “playing a 19th century version of himself” and praises his performances as “understated, sardonic (but with) a vulnerability that stops him from seeming (too) obnoxious.”
A reviewer for Britain’s Evening Standard adds, “He tries hard, and there are moments which work.”

Taylor Swift has reached out to the family of a dead marine by sending them flowers and a personal note.
Sergeant Wade Wilson passed away while fighting in Afghanistan this month, and the soldier’s friend, Corporal Josh Marreel, recorded a YouTube.com video to ask Swift to honor his pal.
In the video, Marreel says, “This is a shout out to the one and only Taylor Swift. I know you have no idea who I am but this video isn’t about me. This is about good buddy, Sgt. Wade D. Wilson, who was killed in action (on) Friday, May 11, 2012 in Afghanistan. Anybody that knew Willy knew that he worshipped you. He even slept with a post of you in between our beds in Afghanistan.”
The singer has now offered to wear Wilson’s army dog tags in her next video and sent a bunch of flowers to his grieving family, according to PerezHilton.co,.

Justin Bieber surprised a teenage fan by taking her as his date to the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday after he was unable to make it to her prom.
Cady Eimer, 18, from Virginia, has spent months campaigning to have Bieber join her for her high school prom, and during the event on Saturday night, he surprised her by sending a video message inviting her to glitzy prizegiving in Sin City.
Bieber said in the message, “I know you wanted me to be at your prom, but I’m actually going to be at the Billboard Awards, but I’ll have a car waiting for you so you can come to the Billboard Awards with me tomorrow… Cady, I love you thank you for your support and I can’t wait for you and your sister to be my guests at the Billboard Awards.”
Footage from the prom shows Eimer staring open-mouthed at the screen before screaming and hugging her friends.
She was taken to Las Vegas the following morning along with her sister to join Bieber at the ceremony and afterwards she thanked the pop star for the special trip, writing in a post on Twitter.com, “Justin Bieber… thank you so much for an amazing night! I had the time of my life… Not gonna lie, I’m sad today’s over. It was so much fun.”
Bieber told People.com, “I couldn’t make it (to the prom) so I said I need you to fly to the Billboard Awards and you can be my date. She’s a big fan and I thought it would be fun.”
However, the singer did forget one important detail, adding, “I didn’t get her a corsage.”

Man Jailed Over Selena Gomez Hacking

A British man hacked into the Facebook page of Justin Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez and threatened to publish private emails between the pair.
According to Britain’s The Sun, Gareth Crosskey, 21, also wrote “Justin Bieber sucks” on Gomez’s profile on the social networking site before the couple made its relationship public last year.
Crosskey was tracked down as a result of a $79,130 joint investigation by the FBI and Britain’s Metropolitan Police, and was found to have posted a video online boasting about hacking the former Disney star’s account.
Crosskey admitting to two offenses against the Computer Misuse Act during a court appearance in London earlier this month and was jailed for a year.
Judge John Price told him, “You are clever with a computer and you hacked into the private part of somebody’s Facebook account. Selena Gomez had a Facebook account on which she has six million friends. They have permission to get into part of the account and you hacked into a private part by getting the email password. People deserve privacy and should not have their private correspondence made public.”
