By CHELSEA McDOUGALL – cmcdougall@shawmedia.com Woodstock Fire Rescue is joining departments across the nation to do its part to reduce the second-leading cause of line-of-duty firefighter deaths – crashes. Illinois is fifth in the state for line-of-duty firefighter deaths, with crashes being the second biggest factor in those fatalities. For Woodstock Fire Chief Ralph Webster, wearing seat belts on the job could dramatically reduce those incidents. Heart attacks are the No. 1 cause of line-of-duty firefighter deaths.
