A youth-led organisation, they help young people to engage with the decisions that affect their lives, encouraging them to get involved with their community and democracy on local, national and international levels.

The responses we’ll be posting here over the coming weeks offer a broad range of responses, all delivered with real passion and insight. We hope you enjoy them. A couple are up now, and you’ll be able to find them all together here.

This is a vital step towards being able to listen to more people and get more insight into what really drives social change. There are so many people who’s work means they have direct experience of how society works, yet they often go unheard. We want to give everyone a voice so we can learn more and have better discussions about social change.

So whatever your work or background – whether you’re a teacher, social worker, charity worker, or an economist, lawyer or entrepreneur – we want you to share your insight about what’s at the root of social change. What one change would you make?

Thanks to a rather brilliant wordpress theme from DeDePress, we now have more ways to discover the ideas posted on this site, more ways to engage with it, and (we think) a much clearer design that also adapts for mobile and tablet viewers.

There are lots more features still in the box which we’ll be rolling out as the year unfolds, but for now this is a great place to start getting more of your amazing insight onto the site and shared with the world.

Richard Hughes became involved with Amnesty International in their campaign to save Troy Davis. After visiting Troy on death row, Richard used his profile to help raise further awareness of the campaign. Sadly Troy Davis was executed in September 2011, but the campaign continues, as does Richard’s dedication to equality and his belief that we must put an end to the death penalty.
