The 31 year old singer finally gave birth to a bouncing baby girl today. Jessica announced the good news by posting the following message on her website, “Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This is been the greatest experience of our lives.” Baby Maxwell is a whopping 9 lbs and 13 oz. The singer has been waiting for the arrival of their baby for a long time and people were speculation as early as last week if she had already given birth. However, Jessica stopped the rumors by posting this on Twitter, “To everyone who keeps congratulating me on the birth of my baby girl…I’m still pregnant!! Don’t believe what you read ladies and gents.”

Now the long wait is finally over. Her sister, Ashlee Simpson, and parents were seen going to the hospital to meet the newest member of their family for the first time.

Anyway, did you know this year it’s going to be her 15th year in the business? Gosh, I think I still remember her first appearance at TGIS – she was stunning even way back. Now 15 years later she has reached the peak of her career. She has shows every day, product endorsements left and right, concerts even without a singing voice, and just recently named Box Office Queen (together with Christine Reyes) for her blockbuster movie, No Other Woman.

The good news is she is still humble unlike other celebrities we hear about who has their stardom go into their head.

This is what Angelica declared at the press con of Star Cinema’s latest romantic comedy movie, Every Breath U Take.

Angelica said, “Masarap po talaga, nung natikman ko po, na-adik ako, na-hook po ako. Ngayon po kino-kontrol na nila ako sa set na once a day nalang ‘yung pag-amoy ko. Naco-concious na siya [sa pag-amoy ko], ayaw na niya, gusto niya hinahabol ko siya, ginagawa niya akong tanga, pinapaikot-ikot niya ako. Hindi po siya nagde-deodorant, ganun siya ka fresh. Almost perfect na po siya eh.”

During the press conference, the actress recalled her experience working with Piolo. She said the hunk actor never seems to get tired on the set which in turn inspired her to do her best. Piolo, inspire of his successes, continue to stay humble and down to earth.

“Syempre si Papa P, simula noon, nakita mo na yumaman pa siya, mas bumongga lang talaga siya, pero lumaki ‘yung ulo? Yumabang? Hindi niyo makikita sa kanya,” Angelica said.

“Pag pagod ka na, hindi pa siya pagod, wala kang karapatang mapagod. So ang-ganda ng naging working relationship [namin], kasi nai-inspire namin ‘yung isa’t-isa na maging maganda ‘yung trabaho,” she added.

Meanwhile, Piolo Pascual revealed he has been watching Angelica on TV when he was not yet an actor. Angelica was a former child star and had a lot of movies under her belt.

“Sobra akong bilib sa kanya. Kasi bata pa lang [siya], pinapanood ko na siya. Makikita mo talaga siya na nagbabago siya and lalo siyang gumaganda, lalo siyang gumagaling. She’s becoming comfortable with her craft,” he said of the actress.

“Hindi siya maarte, hindi siya mahirap pakisamahan, at hindi ka mai-intimidate sa kanya. Pwede mo siyang ilagay kahit saan, madali siyang mag-adjust. Yun siguro ang isang malaking factor kung bakit naging magaan ang trabaho. Siyempre, ang leading lady aalagaan mo, kailangan talaga mag-a-adjust kayo lahat. But she didn’t give me a hard time being with her in the shoot. Masarap siyang kasama,” he further added.

You will recall that before this movie came out, Piolo has been involved in a nasty break up with his former girlfriend and daughter of the Sharon Cuneta, KC Concepcion. Their breakup culminated into a tell all interview (almost) of the latter at the Buzz with her crying her heart out in front of millions of TV viewers. Her interview led many to question the gender of Piolo Pascual. KC’s mother, Sharon, also had a breakdown at Twitter which was linked to this incident.

Despite these hurdles it’s good to know that Piolo has come out unscathed. His new movie is Star Cinema’s 15th anniversary promo. If this is a hit in the box office then it will further cement his status as the Philippine’s #1 hunk actor.
