It happens to all the greats. Dawk left the Eagles. Reggie White signed with Green Bay. Iverson moved to Turkey… At some point in our careers, we all must hang ‘em up and move on to greener (or not-so-greener) pastures.

What started as an impossible dream to get a large, toothless head on television has somehow morphed into a never-ending stream of daily Hot Links. While we love Philly sports, writing about them, and photoshopping people into compromising positions, the truth is that life has caught up to us; we simply can’t keep up with other sites. We, here at Where’s Weems, all have other (paying) jobs, are getting married, having kids… basically getting old and boring (insert sad face here).

For 3 years now, we’ve brought you a smattering of sports-related news, photoshops, animated gifs, hot links, quick hits, mock drafts, photo galleries, etc. And we’ve enjoyed every second of it. But all good things must come to an end. So with that, we are signing off.

We want to send out a special thanks to our loyal readers and members of the Weems Army. We see you Chunk, Hotcakes, Shep, Shots, Lex, Samir, Your Mom… everyone. We also want to thank the blog heads that buddied up with us over the years: Meech, Liberty Ballers, Tug Haines, Crane Kicker, Phuture Phillies, I Don’t Give A Schmidt, Rev, Matt P, Notkerouac, Bark Tees, It’s Always Sunny in Detroit… you guys rock.

We appreciate all the support from everyone along the way. It was a fun ride while it lasted, and we hope we entertained you a little bit along the way.

While we are stepping away from the blog game, we won’t be disappearing from Earth completely. We’ll still be on Twitter talking shit about Ruben Amaro, and, for the time being, we’ll still be peddling t-shirts on Weems Wear. Hell, we may even start another blog one day — but, for now, it looks like we are done polluting the interwebs with our nonsense. Thanks again, people, and don’t stop being you, internet.
