T-Mobile are giving away free SIM cards. These pay as you go SIM cards offer a competitive tariff, and if you top up with £10 on a Friday, they'll give you unlimited texts all weekend to all of the UK networks.

All you have to do is fill out the online form here and T-Mobile will send you the free SIM card in the post. Nice.

To be honest I'm a bit stuck on how much the free SIM card deal is is worth. If you're a big user of SMS text then their "free text messages all weekend" offer is worth loads to you. I think I'll stick this one in the "£25 and up" category.

Free Cash For Using Your Mobile Phone

This one is great! You don't have to do anything other than download a small application to your mobile phone.

You know when you see statistics reported about mobile phone usage? For example, you see it reported that 26% of women play mobile games on their mobile phone. That sort of thing.

M:Metrics are the company that collate the information, but did you know that mobile phone users like you and I get paid to provide them with the data?

We'll M:Metrics are looking for more users in the UK to help them gather the information. The great news is that there's very little required of you. You simply sign up online, download a small application to your mobile and it monitors how you use your mobile phone. They don't monitor specific personal information such as your text messages or any of that malarky, the application simply tells them what you use your mobile for.

Now here's the free cash bit. They'll pay you £15 just for signing up. Then they'll pay you a £5 per month while you continue to let the application run on your mobile phone. Over a year that's worth £75!

7digital, an online mp3 retailer has an on going offer of free music downloads. You'll need to register to get access, but no credit/debit card details are required. You download the free music direct to your PC/Mac.

Songs purchased from 7digital are priced from 50p, so I'm putting this one in the 'under a tenner' category.

Free iTunes and Free iTunes Song every week

Apple's iTunes works with any mp3 player, not just iPod. It'll even work with your mobile phone. The iTunes software is free, and users can download one free song each week. You don't get to choose the song though. It's more of a 'Single of the Week' kind of deal where they pick a new release and give it to anyone that wants it.

iTunes songs cost either 79p or 99p, but despite the fact that this free offer is worth over £40 a year, I'll stick it in the 'Under a Tenner' category.

This free offer gives you over 35 free online games, but this one gives you prizes for winning! You can play solo, or against other players. Winners receive tokens that they can use to enter competitions to win prizes (a recent jackpot was a few grand - nice!).

Sometimes I struggle to put a value on free offers that make it in to my inbox. This is a great example. How much is this worth? Well it's a free service that lets you play games online for prizes. I'm gonna put this in the 'Under a Tenner' category. If they were to charge me for this service, I wouldn't pay more than a £10.

Why is it free? Well, in addition to winning tokens, they offer you the ability to purchase tokens for use in entering the competitions. They hope you'll enjoy the playing the games, see the prizes on offer and think 'I'll but some tokens for a chance to win that'. Of course, you don't have to.

Another free mobile phone stuff offer. This time it's 12 free mobile phone games. As mobile games typically cost £3 each, I'm sticking this free offer in the '£25 and up' category. All you have to do is sign up online and download the games direct to your mobile phone over the air.

Now, it's worth noting that while the service and the mobile games are free, you may be charged a few pence (by your mobile operator) for the data connection while you're downloading the games to your mobile.

The service is run by Mobikade, a mobile social networking service (think myspace on your mobile phone). There's plenty of other freebies on offer, including free SMS text and free competitions. You can check that out once you're registered.

This service is entirely free. They don't offer a 'premium service' that costs you money. You get the whole lot just for signing up. In return to getting all this, you agree to receive no more than 4 SMS text adverts a week, but these are sent to you free. None of that premium rate text bullshit that costs you an arm and a leg.
