		<description>Dear wda

I'm very excited to find this wonderful proposal on the net.

We are a locally based Financial Cooperative society which was started and being run by local indigenous Acholi people of PADER DISTRICT in Acholi sub region, Northern Uganda.

The Cooperative society is called AGARU SACCO Limited. The society has over 500,000 membership throughout the districts of Pader, Gulu, Kitgum and Amuru ( By the way a point of correction, Lira district is not a district in Acholi region) We participate in mobilizing savings, micro credit and micro enterprise training amongst other financial services.
We have been in existence in the region since 2001 when the situation was very hostile to commercial banks and served the Acholi community throughout the turmoils.
Because of our good work and sound foundation in the community, we were identified by the government to be the lead institution to offer rural financial services in Acholi region.

We are also collaborating with other international NGOs in implementing animal traction and Agricultural loans products as contribution to rehabilitation of the population in the region.

This is a wonderful proposal that will greatly contribute to the rehabilitation of the people of Acholi region. My concern is that wda ahould consider collaborating with indigenous locally based financial institutions that are well versed with the socio-economic, cultural and financial needs of the Acholi people.

On our side as AGARU SACCO Ltd, we are willing to cooperate and contribute to the successful implementation of your proposal in Acholi region. Should you need more information about us, please kindly contact us through my mail address above. I will be very willing to respond.

This a wonderful opportunity to collaborate for a purpose.

Thanks a lot for having these good thoughts about the suffering people of Acholi sub region of Uganda.

Best Wishes

<description>Leaders who adopted the Millennium Development Goals in 2000 envisioned halving the proportion of people living without access to basic sanitation by the year 2015 – but we are nowhere near on pace to achieve that goal. Experts predict that by 2015, 2.1 billion people will still lack basic sanitation. At the present rate, sub-Saharan Africa will not reach the target until 2076.

If we take up the challenge, the positive impact will reverberate far beyond better access to clean water. Every dollar invested in water and sanitation yields an estimated seven dollars worth of productive activity. And that comes on top of the immeasurable gains in cutting poverty, improving health and raising living standards.
This will help all you people on this blog to do something along with the United Nations in your locality.
