I believe there is only one true measurement for determining whether you should stay or leave your current job. That one measurement is how you feel on Monday mornings when you drive/walk/commute to work. If you are excited about your workday on Monday mornings more often than not (for whatever the reason) then be thankful and keep doing what you do so well. Many people are not and I encourage those of who aren’t to start/continue looking for something better so your Monday mornings can be as fun as Friday afternoons.

STudents will stop taking out the loans traditional Universities expect them to. And when they do tuition will come down. And when prices come down Universities will have to cut costs beyond what they are able to. They will have so many legacy costs, from tenured professors to construction projects to research they will be saddled with legacy costs and debt in much the same way the newspaper industry was. Which will all lead to a de-levering and a de-stabilization of the University system as we know it.

Leftover Salmon - “Teen Angst”

Before Trampled By Turtles, the Infamous Stringdusters, the Avetts (insert jamgrass band here), there was Leftover Salmon. My love for jamgrass has faded over the years, but back in the late 90s I dug Leftover. This was the last time I caught LoS live, and it was a classic one. David Lowery of Cracker joined LoS for about half of the show, treating us to a few covers and several Cracker tunes.

Both Cracker and Leftover Salmon will be playing Central Virginia this summer. Leftover Salmon will be at Innsbrook Pavilion in Richmond on July 28th, opening for Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers. Cracker is hosting their own festival, Campout East, on June 1st and 2nd in Buena Vista. Check them out if you can!
