Nintendo is planning to send a large shipment of Wii Consoles to the United States for Christmas, but even this large holiday boost might not be enough to quench the US's thirst for the exercise friendly gaming system.

Nintendo has aknowledged the shortage and is planning to do something about it by shipping millions of Wii's to the United States before Christmas, unfourtunaly nothing seems to stop or even make a dent in the demand for this system, if anything it's only gotten harder to find over time.

While you may still be hardpressed to find a Wii in stores during Christmas, it should be a lot easier with the boost in shipment to find one online. If you want to order a Wii Online check out our Wii Console page, it helps you find the Wii console for a cheap price and helps you locate low priced Wiis on Ebay which should be one of the best and easiest ways to get a Wii this Christmas.

The Rage Wireless Guitar controller for the Nintendo Wii is now being recalled because of faulty circutry which can cause the batteries in the guitar to leak and burn the person who's holding it. Now consumers are being urged to return the product to their retailers for a full refund.

The recall was initated by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Manufacturer Performance Designed Products estimated that around 57,000 units of the Rage Wireless Guitar have been sold.

This is also another blow to Chinas manufacturing standards which seem to be getting lower each week, first they put lead in our kids toys, now they try to burn us. At this rate we can probably expect their next guitar to explode in our faces if we play a wrong note.

If you are looking for some Wii Gutar Controllers that wont melt and burn your hand off check out our Wii Guitars section, here are a few of my favorite third-party Wii Guitars:

A lot of people are wondering if Nintendo completely forgot about the storage issues with the Wii, well at a recent Press Conference Nintendo president Satoru Iwata let us know they didn't forget. Nintendo recently revealed a bit more about their solution which seems to be leaning towards better use of already available Wii Compatible SD Cards. Basically they would let you download content onto an SD card and possibly play the game directly from the SD card which would make storage a lot more simplistic. There has been no real confirmation of being able to play games from the SD card but we'll see what they can come up with.

Either way it works, letting you play from the SD card or not, at least Nintendo is finally taking some real steps to address the issue of storage on the Wii. They plan to roll out their solution in Spring 2009, so we have a while to wait, but it should be worth it.

It wasn't to long ago that Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime teased that Nintendo was activly working on a Wii storage solution, also adding that it would be "better than" a hard drive.

These statements were made in an interview with a Latin American publication, which was later translated by a popular Nintendo fan site. In the interview, Fils-Aime pretty much ended all the Wii hard drive rumors and said the company will come up with something better.

Many have said that the best solution would be to "just integrate the SD card reader that's already in the Wii into the console's available storage, treating it as if it were a seamless extension of the flash memory inside each console." This would be an inexpensive fix and people who already have a large SD cards would love it. Plus Guitar Hero: World Tour is proving that SD storage and playback is viable on the Wii.

Do you think Nintendo has a good plan to solve the storage problem on the Wii? What do you think their solution will be, could it really be better than a hard drive?

This game is a lot more focused on weight loss while Wii Fit is more focused on keeping you fit. So if you're looking to lose weight with the Wii you should check out Jillian Michael's Fitness Ultimatum 2009 for Wii.

Wii Cheerleading Games
These new Wii Cheerleading games provide a unique way to workout by getting you to stand up, cheer and follow the motions on screen; you can actually get a heavy workout playing these games without even realising it.
We Cheer

Wii Fitness Accessories
If you get Wii Fit you may want a few accessories to go along with it. The selection of Wii Fit Accessories range from yoga mats for a more comforatable workout to workout kits that add weights, bags and even socks to the mix.

Any yoga mat will do, but you'll be way cooler if you have a Wii Yoga or Exercise Mat! These are great if you have a hardwood floor and can make the surrounding area a lot more conforatable.
Wii Fit Yoga Mat

Also here's the best Wii Fitness bundle deal I could find, it has everything:

As many have noticed Wii Fit is almost as hard to find in stock as the Wii Console. As Christmas approaches this has many people worried that they wont be able to shed a few pounds in time for that Christmas / New Years party! With this in mind, Nintendo recently addressed the issue of Wii Fit shortages with a statement released to MTV.

In their statement to MTV a Nintendo spokesperson said ”Nintendo had a substantial supply nationwide for launch, though some stores saw spot shortages due to unprecedented demand for this unique product. The consumer response to ‘Wii Fit’ at launch was historically exceptional when compared with peripheral-based video game products. We are providing retailers with a constant supply of ‘Wii Fit,’ so you should see a regular supply of ‘Wii Fit’ on store shelves as we move through the summer and into the holidays.”

Not very specific on how they are going to do it, but they've addressed it and lets hope they do manage to keep Wii Fit in stock for Christmas.

I only think they are going to have a hard time keeping Wii Fit in stock once more Wii Balance Board compatable games come out. Right now Wii Fit is really only pulling in a crowd that is interested in exercise, once the other games come out like Shaun White Snowboarding, Skate It and other games using the Wii Balance board, we will probably have another shortage on our hands.

Do you think Nintendo will really be able to keep Wii Fit in stock through Summer and Christmas, even once new games come out that utilize the board?

When you get any Wii Racing Game one of the first accessories you think of getting to go along with it is a Wii Wheel. There are actually a lot of Wii Wheels to chose from besides the official one that comes with Mario Kart Wii, so I've listed some of the best ones below along with a detailed description.

Official Nintendo Wii Wheel
The Official Nintendo Wii Wheel comes with Mario Kart Wii and is in my opinion still the best Wii Wheel out there. It has the most simplistic design and is the easiest to handle. The only complaint i've really heard is that the wheel is small, so if you have big hands it could be harder to use.
Official Nintendo Wii Wheel.

Wii Glo Wheels
These were recently announced and are a lot like the official nintendo wheel with a slightly different design and a neon glowing trim around the remote. The Wii Glo Wheels come in the colors listed below.
Wii Glo Wheel Blue
Wii Glo Wheel Green
Wii Glo Wheel Orange / Yellow
Wii Glo Wheel Red

Wii Challenge Wheel
The Wii Challenge Wheel is for people looking for a realistic racing experience. The Challenge Wheel works with multiple systems and comes with pedals and digital gear shifts on the wheel, it's also manufactured under the official Ferrari license.
Wii Challenge Wheel

Check out the Challenge Wheel videos to see it in use with Mario Kart Wii.

Wii Micro Wheels
The Micro Wheels are custom designed lightweight wii wheels that come with a textured grip. If you're looking for a different design than the standard Official Nintendo Wii Wheel, then you should check these out.
Wii Micro Wheel White
Wii Micro Wheel Pink

Wii Turbo Wheels
The Wii Turbo Wheel is another Wii Wheel that offers a custom design by having the top piece partially removed. The Wii Turbo Wheel also includes rubber grips and comes in the colors seen below.
Wii Turbo Wheel Red

If you thought Wii Fit was overpriced at $89.99 you havent seen anything yet. Recently the New York Post reported that Gravity Fitness at New York's Le Parker Meridien Hotel (sounds fancy) have added Wii Fit gameplay into their personal training regimine (oh yeah, their fancy). The Gravity Fitness workout routine also includes real sessions of boxing and weight training. The hotel is currently charging $110 an hour for its personal trainers, this is regardless if whether you're weight training or working out on the Wii Fit.

The Wii exercises are mixed into the workout as a reward, basically between tough workout sessions people will play on the Wii Fit to keep their heart rate up.

While this might be economical for someone staying at the Le Parker Meridien Hotel, most people don't have $110 per hour just laying around.w We would definitely recommend you buy a Wii Fit instead, it costs a lot less than even a single session and you won't have a crowd of random people watching you.

Here's a video of some of the trainers explaining more about the workout you can expect to get on the Wii Fit, and the benifits Wii Fit brings to a regular workout routine:
