I posted this on Raviblog earlier, but wanted to point out Robert Weisman's front page Boston Globe article on wikis that gave a great description of the Wikake. That article did a better job in explaining the concept of the wikake to my mom than I could!

And it was later reprinted in The Tech... so it's a story with legs.

Steve Garfield has posted footage of the official unveiling of the current incarnation of the Wikake at yesterday's Boston Media Makers gathering. Participants were able to indulge in its goodness and the overall proclamation was "Mmmmmmm....."

The Wikake will be unveiled and consumed this Sunday at the meeting of the Boston Media Makers in Jamaica Plain.

I may have to play the role of tie-breaker in determining the form of the cake... it's a deadlock between mini-bundt and cupcake right now!
