The wild dogs had been on the move for 3 hours this morning when they arrived at the airstrip with it's many impala. The chase was on and when I caught up with the dogs they'd already killed an adult male impala. I was soon out the vehicle moving around them filming them on the kill, up close and personal. The dogs took the fight to them but not too aggressively as they were already well fed. It's a deceptive misty bushveld dawn. The wild dogs have killed a kudu calf that came playing with his friend towards them. When the pups ran at them the kudu stood wondering what this was. The pups were bewildered that they didn't run and were unsure what to do.
