<p>Not just your <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/01/fashion/01silly.html?_r=1&ref=jewels_and_jewelry" target="_blank">average rubber bands</a>, Silly Bandz are made to be worn on your wrist and come in an assortment of shapes and colors. Once the bands are removed from your wrist, they return to their original shape.</p>
<p>BCP Imports, LLC, manufacturer of Silly Bandz, promotes the bracelets as items to collect, wear or trade, a practice that has caused a lot of schools to ban the rubber bands from school. Many principals restrict students from wearing the bands as the Silly Bandz seemed to distract the students from school work.</p>
