Which message yields the best possible outcome for our future? Bombs or peace? Hate or love? We can either propagate derision and division for generations to come or we can find ways to peacefully move forward, celebrating our differences and uniting in our similarities. Personally, I’m for peace. You may think furthering violence is the answer, but we’re in a war that has been going on for nearly 14 years. Most people don’t even realize that we’re still engaging overseas with no end in sight. We’ve gotten comfortably numb to war. Meanwhile, the only thing it has successfully achieved is in proving that fighting fire with fire only creates more fire. No surprise there. We can do better than this and we have to, otherwise the only thing we’re passing on to future generations is violent bloodshed for causes that no one even fully understands anymore.
