It has been two months since I last played Battlefield 3 multiplayer on Origin. Yesterday, I updated and patched the game, there was a 2GB update for the Close Quarters and Armored Kill Premium map packs. But too bad, I can't seem to afford the Battlefield 3 Premium membership. Anyway, I just played it again this afternoon. I guess the map was Kharg Island. Surprisingly, the Battlefield 3 community is still there, I thought most of them either move on to Diablo 3 or Guild Wars 2.

So, I was exploring the map. Trying to capture a point or what you call it as, the flag. I saw this dude camping at one place, I knifed him from the back and I got sniped at that very instant. It all happened within 1 second.

Look. Same shit different day. That's just great. Assignments, exams, quizzes, games, girls. Nothing really interesting to begin with. Where's the Orgasm of Life? Sometimes, it's just too tiring to repeat the same shit everyday, am I right? Probably everyone feels the same. Or maybe I'm the only one facing this shit, who knows.

It feels good to reopen my blog, and no way it's going to be like the previous one. No more offensive blog posts and I'm not expecting it to be another controversial blog. Just want to keep it private among fellow gamers out there. I'll be posting screenshots and games benchmark to keep it alive. Description: First up, I'd like to clarify something about my channel. Starting from today onwards, I won't be uploading gameplay videos and benchmark of the Nvidia Geforce GT540M mobile graphics card. I am no longer using that laptop as I gave it to my dad. Right now I'm using a desktop and all my future games will be played on a GTX 560 Ti.

Let's get back to the topic. Batman Arkham City FunHouse Brawl. What is this?! Owh well, it is just another challenge map, you can only unlock it with the purchase of the Batman Arkham City DLC. Apart from that, you have to roam around Arkham City to look for riddles and trophies and complete all the challenges including those side missions to unlock the custom maps. It is pretty hard and I spend almost one week to unlock all these challenge maps..and..Catwoman! Yes, Catwoman is one of my favourites. Harley Quinn too.

Anyway, I'm running on ultra settings, but without DirectX 11 features. I manage to get constant 60FPS in challenge mode, while 40 - 60FPS while roaming around Arkham City. To be precise, I'm running the game on Nvidia 32XMSAA Anti Aliasing. When I enable the DirectX11 features, there are some delays and spiky scenes. The DirectX 11 for this game is not really optimised. I can run Battlefield 3 on DX11 with a smooth frame rate.

Description: I'm using Fraps to benchmark the game. I can achieve 60 FPS constantly with Vertical Sync enabled on maximum settings. This game is just a demo, which was released last week and you can download it for free through Origins. Since it is still a demo, the graphics settings are limited, and you can't really adjust the texture settings, anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering like how you can adjust in the previous Mass Effect games.

Overall, it is not my type of game as I'm a very impatient type of person. The cutscenes in single player is too long and I prefer to play the game, rather than watching those cutscenes in the game. The multiplayer is awesome with its coop survival mode. Graphics are beautiful on ultra settings, and Mass Effect 3 has better shader and lighting compared to Mass Effect 2.

Reviews On My New Gaming Desktop

I guess it is the right time for me to write a quick review about my new gaming desktop, before it gets too late and all my computer hardware become outdated. Yes, they'll be outdated as soon as Intel Ivy Bridge processors and Nvidia Kepler 600 Series GPU are released. You'd want to ask me why I don't wait for them, my answer is that I cannot wait any longer for them, it will be another 3 to 4 months till the official release of the new hardware by Intel and Nvidia. Anyway, I'm satisfied with my gaming rig which was just customized and assembled by StratOS Enterprise last week.

Altogether, my gaming setup costs me around RM4000 including the rig, monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse and DVI cable. I'm using a small LCD monitor which supports up to 1366x768 resolution, but its a good thing cause my rig is too overkill for such a small resolution. I can get up to 60 - 100 FPS in all latest games with maximum ultra settings. For example, in Battlefield 3, with ultra settings and 4X MSAA and HBAO, I can easily get 60 - 70 fps constantly.

Here are the specifications of my rig:

Intel Core i5-2500K processor. My rig is somehow imbalanced due to the fact that it can be overclocked, and yet it is "unoverclockable". My processor and GPU can be overclocked but too bad, my Asus P8H61-MLX motherboard cannot be overclocked. Anyway, it is a pretty decent processor and it's actually recommended as this processor comes with 4 cores with a speed of 3.30GHz. In short, it is a quad core CPU. :)

This is my Asus P8H61-MLX motherboard, it is the new H61 B3 Revision, which I don't have any idea what it means. All I know is that before I built this desktop, I always wanted to support some Asus products.

However, this motherboard cannot be overclocked, so my processor is a waste. I don't really mind actually as I have never overclocked my laptops and computers before. I prefer to run at stock speeds in order to maintain the life span.

As you can see in the picture above, I bought 8GB of RAM or to be precise, its a Corsair 2X4GB RAM. Well, RAM doesn't help much in gaming, but I can see the difference between having a 4GB and a 8GB RAM. With a 4GB RAM, it takes much longer for games to load. On the other hand, 8GB RAM helps to load games at around 10 - 20 seconds only. What about getting an SSD? SSD is godlike. And its price is getting cheaper nowadays, unlike HDD which the prices are so expensive like fuck! But, I still prefer HDD because I don't really need the ultimate speed of a SSD, and I require large disk spaces for me to install games and stuffs.

LEADTEK WINFAST GTX560Ti 1GB GDDR5. My graphic card. Its basically a mid end graphics card in the desktop industry. But if we are to compare it to a laptop mobile GPU, it is equivalent to a Nvidia Geforce GTX580M mobile GPU, but GTX560Ti has a higher clock speeds. This GPU is not bad, honestly speaking. I'm playing all my games at maximum settings now, and I can see all the eye-candy like I always wanted!

It supports DirectX 11 games very well, for examples, Batman Arkham City, Battlefield 3 and Skyrim. I can max out all these three games and I'm able to achieve more than 50 FPS indoor and outdoor. Its a recommended card for most of the new games now, no matter if you're playing in 720p or Full HD 1080p.

Cooler Master HAF 912 Advanced casing. The very first time I looked at this casing, I fell in love with it immediately. But why?! Its a beast! Look at its aggressive design bro. This casing has a stylish interior black coating and it has a superior cooling performance that supports up to two 200 mm and two 120 mm fans. It has a customized neat cable management, unlike the Elite 430 casing. But its kind of expensive. :/

The above picture shows you how tall the casing is. Its even taller than my monitor. I love the brilliant red LED on the cooling fan. It looks pretty cool and amazing. My speaker is a Sony SRS-D5 2.1 Channel multimedia speaker system. But I find out that I don't have enough space so I just put both the speakers on top of the woofer. Not a very good arrangement, so yeah.

Cooler Master PSU GX650W BRONZE EDITION. Cooler Master PSU, especially the Extreme series and the GX series are not recommended because they can spoil easily, based on lots of reviews. But don't worry, mine is a revised version of the GX650W PSU, which is the Bronze version with Blue LED lighting. Somemore it comes with a 5 years warranty :O.

Seriously, inside all the boxes, there are lots of unused cables and components like what you can see in the picture above. I can't throw them away as I'm not sure if I'll be using them back in the near future. The black thing above feels like a toy. I can use it as a gun or something. It looks very portable and cool.

This is my Asus PCE-N10 PCI-E Adapter Wireless-N Card, and I need it to connect to the wireless internet. The LAN cable is not in my room, so I need this. The wireless adapter is an optional hardware for those who want to build their gaming rig, but its a must for me to have it.

The DVI Cable which costs me around RM40. Before this, I was using the blue VGA cable. And there was a minor problem with it. When I connect my VGA cable from my monitor to my rig with a DVI adapter, everything works fine. However, when I start a game, I can see lots of white lines scrolling up and down and they become very obvious in games with dark environments. Luckily I bought the RM40 cable, and now the problem is fixed!

My Mid-End Laptop

Sometimes, it gets so boring that I just feel like updating my blog. This blog has been dead for almost a year, and one of the reasons why I stop updating is because I'm lazy. Yes, I'm lazy to write, I'm lazy to upload photos, and blogging won't earn you anything. It is kind of useless when you think about whats so awesome about having a blog that has thousands of readers. I'd rather spend the time playing some games..and lets not talk about blogging, right now the question is, Whats So Special About My Mid-End Laptop?!

My laptop isn't a gaming laptop to begin with. It is just another mid-end laptop with decent specifications which should be enough to run most latest games at 720p or maybe lower, with a decent frame rate, or probably not with higher settings. Those are the truths about having a laptop, no matter what laptop you game on, Alienware..Sager..MSI..Asus..Acer. Well, my definition of a gaming laptop is that if someone uses his laptop to play his favourite games, then its considered a gaming laptop no matter how poor the mobile GPU is.

These are the specifications of my Acer 15.6" laptop. I can use it to play Battlefield 3 on highest native resolution which is 1366x768, with all the settings on lowest graphical settings, and I'm able to get around 30 - 40FPS. It is quite playable but to be honest, you won't enjoy the low frame rate with the low graphics settings.

Call of Duty Black Ops Gameplay on GT 540M

Feels so lazy to blog these days. But anyway, here is a gameplay video of Call of Duty Black Ops on Nvidia Geforce GT540M and Core i7 2630QM. I'm running the game at 1366x768, with my texture settings being set to extra.

I disabled shadows and anti aliasing for smoother gameplay. Its a recording from the Theatre Mode, yes, I'm legit for this. Getting a smooth framerate of 50 - 70 FPS. I also managed to complete the single player without any lag with the graphic settings mentioned.

Battlefield 3 Gameplay on PS3

This is the first time ever EA shows Battlefield 3 gameplay on consoles. It looks pretty good on a console so far. But the dude is using a red dot attachment as opposed to the ACOG in the PC demo. Lack of shadows and decals are obvious. Sony, just fucking announce PlayStation 4 on E3 next year. I doubt if PS3 has better gpu than the upcoming Wii U.

What was shown on the night was a PS3 exclusive preview into a previous seen level from the Battlefield 3 Fault Line series. In this video, Kevin O'Leary and another EA Games employee played a PS3 version of Battlefield 3, showing not only new menus, but a little more of the campaign, and how the game will feel, in they eyes of a noob.

Battlefield 3 VS Modern Warfare 3

Oh well, Battlefield 3 will outsell Modern Warfare 3 this fall, I'm pretty sure. Bobby Kotick is such an asshole for insulting Battlefield 3. He's probably afraid of Battlefield 3 victorious.

While everyone was impressed with Battlefield 3 at E3 — where the game walked away with several awards — Activision CEO Bobby Kotick wasn’t one of them.

In an interview with business network CNBC, Kotick challenged Battlefield 3 on the console front, saying what’s been shown so far has only been on the PC, whereas most of the business is on the console side. Kotick said,

“So far I’ve only seen Battlefield 3 on a PC, I haven’t seen it on a console where the bulk of the business is. If it’s just a PC title, as it looks like today, that’s just a small audience to participate.”

Battlefield 3 was only playable on the PC at E3, while a PS3 version was shown behind closed doors. The Xbox 360 version wasn’t shown at all, with DICE saying it simply wasn’t ready. As for Modern Warfare 3, BF3′s main competitor, it too was mostly shown behind closed doors at E3, where very few got a chance to actually play it.

Despite this, Kotick’s words aren’t surprising: Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 will go head to head this Fall, and like to heavyweight champions, what we’re seeing now are just the pre-fight smack talking.

BulletStorm Nvidia GT540M Core i7 2630QM Gameplay

As promised, I'll be showing you some gameplay videos of BulletStorm. I'd personally recommend you to watch in 720p HD so that you'll be able to see the full graphics details and so on. This game runs pretty smooth on my laptop, Acer Aspire 5750G laptop. I'm running at 1360x768 resolution, with everything on high, except that I disabled the Anti Aliasing and Post Processing for smoother framerate. I'm getting 40 - 60 FPS. Note that I've got random freezes during the game, its basically a console ported game and it doesn't run so well if you have a mid range card like me. But overall, I enjoy this game and it's a good game ofcourse.

In these gameplay videos, I was recording them at a resolution of 1280x600. That was back then when I have not updated my driver. Please update your Nvidia Driver for better performance. Yeap, seriously. Anyway, here are the videos.

Acer Aspire 5750g Review

Based on NotebookCheck Review on this laptop, one of the reviews caught my attention before I bought this laptop. It says, If you don't want to pay a high price for a high-end processor like the Sandy Bridge Core i7, the Aspire 5750G is a way to get the performance and reasonable battery life, without breaking the budget. You're not paying for unusually fancy design (although we think the blue case is stylish) and you're getting most of what you need, including a decent keyboard and good graphics. The screen is slightly disappointing and we'd like to see more than one USB 3.0 port, but it had the rest of the spec to match the processor you'd be paying rather more than this. This notebook makes Core i7 definitely affordable.

Yes, indeed. This laptop is the best bang for buck. If and only if you trust in Acer products. I've been using Acer laptops since Year 2008. My old laptop was using a Core 2 Duo T6500 2.1GHz and Nvidia Geforce G105M Graphic. Now, my sister is still using it. No problems so far. It shows that Acer laptop can actually have a very long life span if we take care of it a lot.

Now, let's get back to the topic. This laptop was actually an impulse buy because it was a gift from my parents as I achieved Straight A in my SPM. That was funny. I was requesting for a PS3 but then, I changed my mind to buy this 5750g instead. I need it for college life. Bought it at RM2899 and the laptop comes with a lot of free gifts.

I don't experience heat problems with my laptop. After gaming for one hour, Battlefield Bad Company 2 or Call of Duty Black Ops, I can feel heat on the left palm rest area. This is normal because my friend's XPS 15 is also experiencing the same thing. GT540M is just good enough to run latest games at high resolutions and medium settings. In my opinion, GT540M users should turn off some eye candy graphics settings in games, for examples, Shadows, AA, Motion Blur, Post Processing. This is to ensure a pretty smooth frame rate when playing new games at high resolutions.

I will be updating this blog with gameplay reviews and settings with this laptop's graphic card. Anyway, more photos here. Thats all from me. I suck at writing reviews. K thanks.

Wasted RM70 on Heroes of Newerth Premium Items

Edison Chen is Back

Edison Chen is officially back to the showbiz and his new album "CONFUSION" is releasing in December 30. Yesterday the singer attended to an opening ceremony event as guest and promoted his new album. He rapped 2 songs but the audience was not too ethusiastic; only Edison's good friends cheered for him.

There are 15 songs in the singer's new album and they are about his experiences from the past 2 years. The only Cantonese song "Reboot" talks about starting over again and "Salute" is inspired by the aftermath of his explicit photos scandal. He said he wants to salute to people who support and did not support him over these 2 years because they gave him strength to do well.

Edison admits he is nervous about his official comeback: "I'm afraid I can't rap anymore. I'm not that worried facing several thousands people in Shanghai. But it's Hong Kong here, but after today I have nothing to worry about."

A 45-minute suicide countdown on Facebook continues to touch members’ hearts.

RUSSIAN poet Sergei Esenin wrote this suicide note in his own blood and passed it to his friend the day before he hanged himself.

That was in 1925; imagine what he would have done if he had killed himself today.

When Alviss Kong, 22, decided to take his life after his girlfriend of four months left him last week, he posted a farewell status on his Facebook page together with a teary photo of himself.

The status at 11.15pm read “Count Down For 45 Mins…What should I do in this 45 mins?”

In the ensuing minutes, up to 204 Facebook members “liked” his suicidal status post on his Facebook wall, but no one stopped him or alerted his family on his suicidal intentions.

Only his sister Chelvin Kong, 28, reportedly tried to talk him out of the suicide, but Alviss assured her that he was joking.

A few hours later, his body was found sprawled on a car, fallen from the 14th floor of his apartment building in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

This tragic tale has been getting a lot of media coverage especially in the Chinese press, begging the question – what do you do when someone tells you that he or she wants to commit suicide?

Student Ariel Yong*, 17, believes that many thought that Alviss’ message was a prank and simply played along.

“Sometimes when my friend and I wait for the LRT train, we make stupid jokes about throwing ourselves in front of the train. But we know it’s just a joke. I suppose on Facebook, it is difficult to know what somebody really means unless you are also friends outside.”

She feels this shows the significance of “friend” or “community” on Facebook: “Most are not real friends. My real friends would really know if I am joking or serious or if I am depressed or happy.”

International survey firm TNS last month reported that Malaysians had the most “friends” on Facebook and spent nine hours a day on average surfing the site of more than 500 million members.

Real friends or not, Kim Chua*, 19, hopes Alviss got some comfort from those who responded to his wall posting.

“They may not be his real friends or close friends, but no one wants to die alone,” she says.

The psychology student says studies show that an estimated 12–20% of suicides are accompanied by a note and people write it to ease their pain, not as a cry for help.

Paul Jambunathan, consultant clinical psychologist at Monash University Malaysia and Sunway Medical Centre describes those who “liked” Alviss’ Facebook status as “emotional voyeurs”.

“People love to hear about what is happening to others and how they are suffering,” he says, linking it to the trends in today’s popular culture.

“This culture includes suicide as an option to past history within the family or significant others, movies, lyrics and media sensationalism. They all have an effect that makes suicide an option when really it should never be,” he says.

But ultimately, no one can be blamed for Alviss’ death except himself. It was irresponsible of Alviss to put up the posting on Facebook, says Jambunathan.

“He expected society to be responsible for him. He killed himself because he was depressed, and became helpless and hopeless. It is unfair to pin this on the girl when the only person responsible is himself, his choices in life and the kind of friends he kept.”

Jambunathan believes that Alviss might not have jumped if there was any inkling of help or hope.

Consultant psychologist Valerie Jacques agrees that Alviss was deeply depressed and put his hopes in the relationship to make him happier.

“Nothing external will make a person happier when they are depressed from deep inside,” she says.

What is clear – and somewhat comforting – is the notion that love and the way people deal with its ups and downs have not changed over time.

Jambunathan concurs, saying that les affaires du coeur (affairs of the heart) have been known to drive men to “madness.”

He explains that very deep-level emotions are involved from even the early stages of love such as infatuation right to the latter stages of mantaining a functional relationship.

“How angry are you when you are hitting on a girl you have just met, and someone else is doing the same? (Love) evokes and stimulates the very basic and deep-rooted issues in people.

“These emotions lead to aggressive behaviour that can lead people to harming others or themselves,” he says.

This is probably why people act uncharacteristically when love is the core issue at stake. As they say, “love makes the world go round” or on the opposite end “love hurts.”

Jambunathan points out that while suicide seems to be an extreme option, others regularly indulge in self-destructive behaviour because of failures in their relationships. The “broken-hearted” might turn to alcohol to try and forget their relationship or sleep around to make themselves feel better, he adds.

Julia*, 30, remembers when she drove to see her then boyfriend after they had a fight over the phone. She was at a party and had been drinking a lot.

In any other circumstance, she wouldn’t have driven but at that moment she really had to see her boyfriend.

“I had many near misses on the road. I almost drove off a bridge but in the end I arrived at my destination. It was a very stupid thing to do,” she recalls.

She says that while career and financial issues are important, they are not as important as her romantic relationships.

Nazmi Johan*, 35, says that even tough-looking males can be “over-sensitive” when their relationships fail.

“It’s quite funny to see a grown man cry because of a girl but it happens,” he says.

“Love is the biggest seller. In almost every movie, there is always some sort of love element. People always believe that there is someone out there made for them and they will live happily ever after,” he muses.

Gregory Tan* who has been “dumped” a couple of times admits that he felt lost and turned to alcohol when his heart was broken.

“When that “one” person rejects you, it’s as if the whole world is rejecting you,” says Tan.

These days, he tries to be more philosophical about things. “I try to take an ‘everything happens for a reason’ attitude. When I fail at a relationship, I would say to myself that I would find someone more compatible,” he says.

Jacques believes love, not relationships, is a big reason why people consider suicide. In Alviss’s case, she believes that the root problem was that he did not feel loved.

“Even though his family love him dearly, he had a deep belief that no one loved him and so he was not lovable. So, any external sign of rejection or break up can trigger bad feelings,” she says.

THE incident of a young girl who was raped over 100 times in three months was only exposed a few days ago when her mother wrote about it in her weibo (micro-blogging site) last month.

Tang Juan from Yongzhou in China appealed to the public for medicinal prescriptions to help her daughter, 11, who had contracted a sexually-transmitted disease.

On Oct 1, 2006, her daughter followed Zhou Junhui, 23, to dinner - a man whom she had just befriended at an ice-skating arena.

Zhou took her to a video shop after dinner and raped her several times.

He threatened to tell her teachers and classmates, and even kill her entire family, if she told anyone of the rapes.

Two days later, Zhou forced her to follow him to "work".

The girl then left a note for her parents: "Mama, I can't study anymore, they wnt me to work, I must go. Mama, I will be back, I must come back..."

Tang lodged a police report and went in search for her daughter.

She said she had sex for over 100 times since she left home and at one time, she was even gang-raped by four men for five hours.

The young girl was given 30 yuan (S$5.92) for every customer she served, while the boss at the leisure club took 70 yuan.

Zhou took all the money she earned.

Police have charged seven people in connection with the case.

Hey dudes. I'm back. It has been a long time since I last posted on Blogger. And I just realized that my blog has achieved 100,000 viewers after 3 years. I started in Form 2, and those are just hard work. I don't really mind though. SPM is over and I'm bored. Bored like watching someone's shit flying on the TV. You know how bored it is, it is so boring that I couldn't describe it.

I regret not being able to pay attention in class. Now, I don't have the mood to go to school. SPM seriously depends on myself now. I'm looking forward to take a study leave, two weeks should be enough. Probably right after I receive back all my Trial 2 papers. Then, I will take SPM and I hope I can do well in it.

I bought a lot of books these days. And I'm not sure if I can read them all before SPM. I'll try my best. This post sounds gay and theres no point in life.
