How Install Windows with Network Booting - Network Booting

The main objective of this post is to perform a simple network installation of MS OSs.

Requirements

1. Microsotft Windows Serva 2.0 or higher - Download Link
2. Microsoft Install CD/DVD/ISO of the OSs you want to network install.

Network Booting

1. Download & install ‘SERVA’ version 2 or higher.

2. Create ‘SERVA_ROOT ‘ folder in known location(u have to put it on root directory)

3. Open serva

4. Settings

5. Tftp tab ( set it as follow)

6. Dhcp tab (set exact this)

Before set like this go to router settings (192.168.1.1) go to dhcp settings if there is any dhcp connections you better use proxy dhcp ticked. Installing xp require this.

7. Restart serva

At tftp folder (C:\serva_root) folder s will create like this

8. Copy windows setups like following (create folders without spaces and do not edit folders inside it)

9. When network installing Microsoft RIS OSs (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003) it is necessary the creation of a "Null Session Share". This kind of share got some bad reputation in the past from a security point of view, therefore setting them on modern OSs it's not just a straight forward single-step action; it involves a bit of effort. This article tries to help Serva users creating their NSSs.

For Windows XP

For Windows Server 2003

Windows Vista

Windows Server 2008

Windows 8

10. When installing WDS OSs :

Directory WIA_WDS has to be shared as WIA_WDS_SHARE (read-only). This share DOES NOT need to be a "Null Session Share" and of course it is not an anonymous logon.

NOTE: Please create only the shares you need. i.e. if you are not installing RIS OSs then you do not need to create WIA_RIS_SHARE.

11. Restart serva and boot target PC with network booting

That's it.

How to Root Xperia Ray ST18i ICS 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.587)

This post contains how to root Xperia Ray ST18i ICS 4.0.4 (4.1.B.587) with the use of DooMLoRD Toolkit.

First, read well and then follow instruction as it is.

Latest Flash-Tool Software - Download Link Here

Instructions

Flash the Kernel of 4.1.A.0.562

Download the Kernel - Click Here
Download the Flash-Tool and Install (If you have not install flash-Tool drivers first you have to install it - \FlashTool\drivers\FlashTool-drivers.exe )
Then, put ST18i_4.1.A.0.562_kernel.ftf (Downloaded in 1) into the \FlashTool\Firmwares

Then open FlashTool.exe, Click on the Flash Button and select Flash Mode.
Select Ray and Press OK.
Then follow the instruction give by the software to connect the phone to the PC.
Then you have to connect the device to PC (Make sure that device is switched off [remove battery may be]. First Plug the cable to the device and then plug USB to the PC while press and hold volume down key) (If the device connected correctly, a green led will show up)

After finishing flashing kernel, disconnect the cable and restart the Device. (You might get some errors after rebooting, it is normal, and it will be fixed after next step.

Root your device with DooMLoRD’s Tool – More Click Here

Re flash the kernel (4.1.B.0.587)

Download the Kernel – Click Here
Now flash the kernel by Follow 3 to 6 in the 1st step.

Now your device is rooted.

How to Customize Your Windows 7

This post is about customize your Windows 7 by adding extra cool themes, transparent gadgets and change the Logon Screen to a different background. All you have to do is follow below instructions carefully.

Pre Requirements

First you have to download followings before customization.

Logon Screen : Download Link

Universal Theme patcher : Download Link

Themes : Download Link

Icons : Download Link

Transparent Gadgets : Download Link

Start Button Changer : Download Link

Wallpaper: Download Link

Instructions -

Customize the Theme

Extract the UniversalThemePatcher.zip fileRun UniversalTemePatcher-x86.exe or -.64.exe (Right Click ==> Run as Administrator)
Universal Theme Patcher Report will be showed and Press Yes to more details and make sure that all three files are patched (themeservice.dll, themeui.dll and uxtheme.dll
Select Restart Later.
Extract black_diamond.7z
Inside the Forlder there are several files, Copy Black Diamond.theme and Black Diamond Folder and Paste in to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes.
Take permission of the C:\Windows\System32\ExplorerFrame.dll
1. (Easy way to take ownership of system files in Vista & Windows 7 - Here)
Then make a backup of the C:\Windows\System32\ExplorerFrame.dll and replace with downloaded file. (There are two separate files for x86 and x64)
After patched, Restart the Computer.
Right Click on Desktop and Go to Personalize and Select Black Diaomand in the Installed Themes.

Change Start Button

Extract W7SBC.zip and Run Windows 7 Start Button Changer.exe
Click on the Select & Change Start Button and automaticaly explorer will be restarted.

Change Icons

Extract 7Confier.zip and Run 7CONFIER.exe
Select Ecqlipse 2 and Press Apply (Make sure before apply new icon set, do a backup of default windows 7 icons)

Add Widgets

Download the zip fille and Extract it.
Now You can install whatever you like add to the desktop. (See above final image)

Change Logon Screen

Just open: Tweaks Logon.exe and click "Change Logon Screen", and open the file "Alpha"

Change the Wallpaper

Changer the Wallpaper with downloaded image.

Install Windows 7 and Windows 8 from a USB Flash Drive

This post shows you how Install Windows 7 or Windows 8 Release Preview from a USB Flash Drive.

IF you have a notebook, or whatever computer (Which have minimum requirements and working USB port and USB boot option in the BIOS) and would like to upgrade it to Windows 7 or Windows 8 Release Preview, you may inquisitive how it can be done from a USB Flash drive without using a DVD.

By following below steps that will allow you to easily, create your flash drive to a bootable device with OS on it.

Pre Requirements

Windows XP SP2 or Higher (.NET Framework 2.0 and Microsoft Image Mastering API V2 – If you are using a WINXP Machine)
A minimum of 4GB USB Flash Drive
Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool – Download From Here

Instructions

Step 01-

Backup you files in the flash drive and format the flash drive as NTFS before use the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.

Step 02-

There are only four steps with the Download Tool and First brows to the location of your Windows 7 or Windows 8 .iso and click next.

Windows 8 Release Preview ISO images can be downloaded from following links –

English

64-bit (x64) Download (3.3 GB)

32-bit (x86) Download (2.5 GB)

Step 03-

Select your media type. Click USB device or this also can be used for burn ISO to DVD as well.

Step 04-

Choose you device and click Begin copying.

Step 05-

Just wait until the process complete. The drive will be formatted and copied content of the DVD to the Flash Drive.

Step 06-

Now, it is ready to boot and install Windows 7 or Windows 8. Now only thing you have to do is give first Boot Media as Flash Drive in BIOS settings.

Rooting Toolkit for Xperia Ray ST18i ICS (FW:.562)

Close all the adb server is running in background (e.g.- PCC, SEUS, Flashtool and disable antivirus.
Root your device at your own risk.
First Read Well then follow instruction as it is.

This will:

Root your device
Install Busybox (v1.18.4)
Install SU (ICS)
Perform some checks tmp directory for some free space

Pre Requirements

An Xperia Ray with stock firmware 4.1.A.0.562
ADB drivers installed for your device (if you don’t have drivers for your device download this – Flashtool Drives)
Download this Root Toolkit – Root Toolkit
Check for “USB DEBUGGING” – Enable from (Settings\Developer Options\Development)
Check for “UNKNOWN SOURCES” – Enable from (Settings\Security)
Change Screen time out for 10 min. [optional]
Connect USB Cable to Phone and then connect to Computer

Instructions

Step 01 - Again check that you are on stock firmware 4.1.A.0.562

Step 02 – Download above Root Tool kit, save it on C:\ and Extract all the files

Step 03 – Now double click and run the “runme.bat”

Step 04 – Now you don’t have to do anything, sit well and read the on-screen instructions

Step 05 – Your Phone will reboot several time

Step 06 – When the Rooting finish it will say “ALL DONE”
