In the last job I had, the average employee had an average salary of about $30,000 a year.  But every month I would hear about everyone complaining how they don’t have any money saved up.

They also felt like the company should pay them more, and though they should, they wont.  I remember one girl crying because she did not have enough money to pay the rent and she wanted to ask for some help, (borrow money from someone) to pay the rent.

Regardless of how much money I make , I am committing to at least saving 10% of everything that I earn.

In fact, I am setting up a savings (another checking account) for this purpose. However there is a catch and it is a good one too…

This account will have a compound interest feature!  A daily compound interest feature.  That means I am paid daily on the balance of my account.

There are many online banks that will pay 1.0% to 1.30% interest.  Thats OK, but does not get me excited. Then I heard about TreasuryDirect I Savings Bonds. These are the best savings tool I seen that is simple to understand and has a good interest rate that compounds. If decide to save with TreasuryDirect plan on being in it for at least 5 years. This is The United States Dept of the Treasury savings program.

Check it out you might like it. Also the interest rate is adjusted for inflation to. Your balance never gets eaten up by inflation over time.

I’ll admit I have them, I just wish I knew exactly what my limiting beliefs are.  Well a few weeks ago I was on another forum and there was a post about why so many people fail at starting and operating a business online.

I was curious to read this posting and see if something it may or may not pertain to me. Below I have copied and pasted the article for you to read.

After I read it I was searching for more information on the internet regarding limited beliefs and limited beliefs.  At this point in my life, I am trying to clear anything that may be holding back my true potential.

Let me start with telling you an eye-opening story ( I wrote and published this article years ago)…

“Don’t Act Like An Elephant!”

Strange statement, isn’t it?

But listen carefully because it can make the difference of success and failure in your business and private life.

So, let me explain…

You might know that in India elephants are used for manual labor. But what to do with them when they are not working? How to restrain them?

Their handlers came up with the idea to program them while they are still very young – by setting self-imposed limits into their thinking.

How does it work?

When the elephants are still small, weighing around 150 pounds, they get tied up with a very heavy rope.

All day long, the elephants try to get rid of it, whine, tug at it and some of them even try to chew it. But they can’t break free. Finally, the elephants give up and the fight is over.

And now it’s getting interesting…

From this moment on, they strongly believe that there is absolutely no chance to get rid of the rope. They accept the “fact” that the rope limits them.

And with this imprinted belief in place, their handlers are able to tie them with extremely small ropes!

And even as adults, weighing 8,000 pounds and more, they never attempt to break free because they “know” they have no chance at all!

As you can see, the elephants’ limits are not real, but exist only in their mind.

And so are we programmed with built-in-boundaries. They are also not real but exist only in our minds.

But with these imprinted belief systems, with these inner boundaries, we are unable…

- to live our lives to the fullest
- to be as successful as we could be
- to set and reach higher goals
- to make 10 times more money as we do now
- to build a successful business
- to get the promotion and pay increase
we always dreamed of
- to fulfill our true dreams and desires

The point is…

Now any idea or thought I have is looked at more closely to see if there is something limiting attached to it, and instead think more about the real true potential of any though or idea I have.

So I guess “think bigger” may be one solution to this problem.

Your probably curious about the title of this post and what it is about. Well let me explain and even though this may sound like an oddball post it does put the concept of making money into perspective.

This is where I heard of this term… One day while extremely bored and watching TV, I channeled surfed on to one of those religious “beg a thon” televisions shows and the preacher guy was interviewing an entrepreneur. It was a good interview, this was a guy who did not have much of anything and went to creating a super successful business.

The preacher interviewer asked him how preying to God, brought him success.  The entrepreneur, said that prayer helped him focus on what he wanted and to get ideas for a business, but then he said the praying is all fine and good but to make money you need a money capturing mechanism.

The preacher guy was like oh really? And you could tell that he did not want to discuss this term but just keep on talking about God. However the entrepreneurs “A” type personality took over the interviewer and said that if you want to get more money into your life, then you have to set up mechanisms that capture the money.

A business is a good way to do this. Properly investing is another way to capture money.  I capture money (earn revenue) by displaying ads on all of my websites.

So what vehicles have you set up to capture money? In a perfect world something that creates a monthly or weekly positive cash-flow would be idea.

To me money is all about exchange. You exchange money for a service or a product.  Even investing is an exchange of money as you are exchanging it a return on the money invested.

With so many ideas about making money going through my head, I’m always on the lookout for ways to capture the money! But if you get an idea, my advice is to focus on one idea at a time and not to get distracted. Wait to see if your results are good or not before proceeding to the next money making idea.

Just thought I would share that term with you for anyone doing money making affirmations. Because you will need something to capture the money while it is wanting to come to you. The money needs a way to appear.

I’m trying to clear out any deep rooted beliefs that may reside within me and clear out blockages that prevent money coming to me or money making opportunities presenting themselves.

Once I feel blockages have been cleared, I’ll start with affirmation about something that will create or attract money.

The first week was kind of tough because listening to myself kept waking me up. I’m getting used to it now.

When I dream I do not hear the recording at all, so sometimes I wonder if my subconscious mind hears it. But from what I have learned it does. So since I do not consciously hear it, the message should be going direct to my SM.

It is also my understanding that what ever is accepted and impressed upon the SM is to be experienced in reality.

Until now I knew that every thing I experience in my life may have been that of what was already programmed, by me in my Subconscious Mind.

But as my life continues on and as I research more about this, my SM is in fact putting into my reality what it contains.  It doesn’t matter if it is good or bad, my conscious mind accepted it and deposited it in my S.M. Now to be experienced.

So during my research I found out about NAP’s (night audio programs) where a suggestion is repeated over and over again on my mp3 player as I sleep.  As such, since my conscious mind is shut down at this time, my SM (subconscious mind) is open and listening.

Now here is an opportunity for me to program my mind experience what I really want to experience in my life.

To begin it was suggest that I begin with clearing NAP’s, to rid myself of previous programming, especially from childhood of any negative beliefs.

So Since I’m doing this to make money I started with an affirmation (programming suggestion) that states:  “All of your negative association about money are now released from your subconscious mind”.

I was instructed to listen to this all night, while sleeping for 10 days.

After that i can begin with suggestions like… “I enjoy making $500 a day in my new business” or something similar.

This is because, by clearing negative beliefs first, suggestions or affirmation doe with NAP’s overnight have a higher chance of success, since potential limiting beliefs have been eliminating.

This provides an opportunity for more success… making money!

There’s more to this, but I don’t want to overwhelm anybody with this amazing technique which can change lives.

What about going back to the law of attraction basics? The OP has told us they graduated from an incredible university… UT at Austin which is a really good school.

But yet… has pretty much made a post about doom and a gloom, a bad economy and is pretty much a victim of circumstances.

Well that’s pretty much what you will continue to get until you change your mind.

Step one: Totally ignore your current circumstance, It is just an illusion created by you. Yes you created it. Not me. Good news is that it can be changed for the better. The more certainty and faith you have that your life will change for the better an opportunities present themselves to you, the FASTER you will see results.

Step two: Identify what you really want. What do you want?

Step three: Allow yourself to receive that what you want. Even better, be that NOW what you want and it will come quicker. Imagine it, visualize, use a dream board and get in tune with it.

Step four: Start now, take action! Start putting the wheels in motion about getting what you want. Who cares about all of the other well qualified candidates applying for the jobs you want. Your not getting them because you have already affirmed, that those jobs you want are going to other people. If your in Texas, there’s plenty of jobs in Texas. I’m in Dallas and there are thousands of jobs here. Go to craigslist and look for a job.

Good luck in your endeavors, put a big dose of optimism will help and present tense affirmations should start attracting opportunities for you. You just need to identify the opportunities as they present themselves.
