I have a question about how to which connection to use, there is two, one connection is a dialup / VPN connection called WIND Mobile and another that the computer identifies it as a mobile broadband connection called WIND and connects like it would if it were a WIfi connection (with the exception of having putting in the my WIND subscription information Like The APN). I have used either and the software that came with the stick connects to WIND using either of them. On the type of the connection in the properties it shows the Subscriber information including the mobile number and SIM card no. would i occur any extra charges at all?
Would it even matter what connection i use? Please answer, thanks in advance

Hey, since you guys have launched there's been no coverage in the Tuscany area of Calgary (nw edge of Calgary) its always been yellow as if its coming soon, when is there going to be coverage out there. I really wanna switch to wind. I tried mobilicity but I didn't like them.

That would be handy and prevent problems and reduce support load for the disputes and complaints as I can check before hand for the destination number and charges

cant call 1 number...im not sure why but i cant call my dads number, i know the number im calling is correct. He is with bell , and when i try to call him it rings once then i get a busy signal. Even when he is not on the phone

any ideas?

Cannot receive text messages

It seems like I can send text messages fine but I cannot receive them. I can only confirm this from another phone on the Rogers network.

I just signed up last night and my number was successfully ported a few hours later. Perhaps I need to wait longer?

No voicemail prompt

When I call in to my voicemail there is no prompt. I was with the person who called to test my voicemail and we were able to leave a message. My phone let me know I had a new message but when I call in (by holding 1) it seems to connect but there is no prompt.

I just signed up last night and my number was successfully ported a few hours later.

Changing Plan

I have the Oh Canada Plan and I'm paying $29. After 6 months or so, the plan will be $45. I don't want to pay $45 because it's a bit too much and if i remember the old plan, it doesn't come with data. So, I'm wondering if I can change my plan to the $40 unlimited data and calling without having to pay off my tab. My tab is still around $370, so it's too much to pay off. If I can change it to the $40, then I would be happy. So, would I be able to?

Does anyone let me know how good wind signal in Bronte rd & Dundas street area at Oakville, Ontario. Last year their network was very poor in this area and I left Wind because I was getting no signal for almost 2-3 weeks. Just wondering did they improved their network or still same in that area?

Can I unlock my Bell Blackberry 9360 and use it on wind? I was wondering since I know Wind offers a 9360 and I am not sure if it has different guts and just the same model number or it the guts are the same.

I'm in Vancouver, BC for 8 months and Fort McMurray, Alberta for 4 months every year for at least the next four years. I am based in Vancouver and I will be eventually settling down with Wind Mobile permanently. I am looking to upgrade my Blackberry Bold 9700 to an Android variant.

Can someone provide a list of Android phones that will work with voice and data on both networks? The phone does not have to be Wind purchased. I am comfortable buying it anywhere since tab and contracts are useless to me when switching carriers every year.

Fist off- We currently have a pay as you go phone from Virgin, don't use it a lot, but we do use it. It's also the mobile number all our friends/family have. Can we port over a pay-as-you go number or does it make a difference what kinda of number you had?

Also Winds return policy, wife wants to try out the Amaze 4g and see how surfing the web is on it (all out previous phones have been non-smartphones). The return policy mentions using the phone for more than 30 minutes voids the return, does anyone know if this includes data usage or just talking?
-I talked to a Wind rep and he said it included the data usage,she says she talked to one and was told it's only 14 days/30 minutes of talking, you can surf to your hearts content and we can still return if if we don't like the phone.
