Kamry's my 9-year-old sister, and she's 5th in line on all 9 kids,

She's so extremely smart, it's not even funny!

Im going to school in Anderson, SC, so i don't get to see my girl as much as i would like,

...Ok, so I think I've forgotten how to blog!

I just looked at my old blog posts for the first time in a while, and I don't even feel like the same person I was before.

It's funny how things change.

I've learned soo much in the past few months.

God is teaching me so much right now, and my prayer is that I learn with a happy attitude:)

I really do miss all my blogger friends!

wow, summer just flew by!

It's unreal to me how fast those burning hot summer days left.

I want it back actually, but I'm excited for classes to start back, and to get me summore learnin'!

This summer was uneventful, calm and happy.

I was also really blessed this summer because my aunt and uncle gave me a car! A little green Hyundai, and i named him.... Ralph! hehe

Funnies From Max

The ones of you who know Max, my four-year-old little brother, would know he's so funny!

He's very mischievous and so black and white!

Yesterday,before bed, Max was playing with Kimmi's Rubik's Cube.

When it was time to head up to bed mom said,

"Max, that's fine, you can take the Rubic's Cube to bed, but don't pull the stickers off, alright."

Max looked confused and said,

"Stickers! What stickers?"

When Cason saw that Max didn't even notice that there was a need to inform about the stickers, Cason said, " Oh great, now he'll pull them off"

Mom told Max to come to her so she could show him the stickers, and told him that if he pulled them off the Rubik's Cube would be broken.

After that Max started looking a little bit nervous, and said

"no, no, no I don't want it any more. You can keep it down here."

Mom said, "No, max you can take it up."

Max said, " No, mom, someone's gonna make me pull them off!"

Mom laughed and said,

"Max, who's going to make you pull them off?"

Max lifted his hands with his fingers all spread out and said,

" MY HAND!"

I had to write this down.

I can't beleive I took such a huge blogging break.
I knew I was going to need one for a few weeks, but I didn't think I could actually do it for so long! haha
I'm so glad to be back!
I had to take a studying break, and now exams are over, and I'll know my final grade for PSY 201 by the end of the day!

Trip With The Fam

Home at last.

Mountains are pretty, and being in the country is awesome, but I did miss my town, my cat, and my bed!

The mountains weather was beautiful, and our cabin was right on a river, so when the windows were up it sounded like it was pouring down rain!

It was a 5 hour trip to Grandfather Mountain, and to some that might not seem too long, but having lots of siblings will make things a little more crazy.

I absolutely love car trips though!

I sat in the seat right behind, and between my mom and dad, and it was sweet to listen to their conversastions.

Not that I don't listen to their sweet conversations all the time, it's just that I was sitting there listening and thinking about how blessed I am to have parents who love each other so much.

They are constanly giving their children something to look forward to one day.

Ok, I am now moving on from all that mushy stuff! hehee

I was supposed to bring my camera, and it was all ready to go, but we were in a rush to get out the door, and the camera was left behind.

A Home School Question

Oh those common homeschool questions that we are so very used to hearing!!

I love them!
I usually think they're pretty darn funny.
My favorite questions when people learn that I'm homeschooled, are:
"Do you get to wear your PJ's all day?"
or
"Is your dad your principal?"
or
"Do you have friends?"
or
"So then you must be real smart, right?"
-(Uuuhh, did any of you notice that I spelled Tagged "Taged" in my last post? That should answer that question!;)
or
"Can you wake up whenever you want?"

*laughs*
The list could go on and on!

One of my bestest blogger buddies asked me a homeschool question on a previous blog post,

and it's deeper than most homeschool questions I get, and I'm going to answer it to the best of my ability. :)

Her question was,
"I reckon having a big family and being homeschooled is awesome, but I don't quite understand how you meet people outside your family & church.
(This isn't meant as a criticism, just a question!)
Eventually, we're all going to have to deal with people who aren't Christian and think/behave very differently to us, so why not get used to this kind of thing young, so as to make it less of a shock when the child leaves home?"

First of all, I have no problem meeting people.
I understand why people would think that's not true though because we do go to school at home. :)

I meet people through activities such as tennis and swimming and I've been in a homeschool group for my whole life, so I feel like I have an abundance of great friends. :)
Friends are definitely important, but I have built in BFFs right here in my house. :D
I've never been in a clique, and I'm glad to have avoided the "girl drama" that so many gals my age have gone through and are going through now.
There are not many things I hate more than drama! hehee

Now, my friend made the seemingly true point that if we're all of the sudden exposed to the world, then it's going to be such a huge shock.

This semester I'm taking two classes at our local technical college and only on Saturdays while my dad waits for me in the hall. ;D
In a way it's really sad to see all the hopeless people, but I've made friends with my whole class, and they all know for WHOM i stand.

It's been pretty amazing! :)

The blatant anti-christian rhetoric that I have been exposed to this semester has been a pretty big surprise for me, but I feel like I was better prepared at the age I'm at now, as opposed to if I were sent to school at a younger age.

I think if I were put in a school environment from an early age, I would have been more calloused to the hatred toward God and the sad hardened hearts that strongly protest God's greatness.
I guess I am glad that I have been so shocked by and not immune to the rebellion that is so obvious in our culture. I have compassion for the lost and a desire to communicate the gospel to them.

My parents kept, and are still keeping, me at home so they can shape, sharpen, and mold me into the young woman God calls me to be.

I am so thankful for their protection, and the older I get the more I understand why they protect and prepare us the way they do.

Thanks mom and dad for guarding me like spider monkies! :) *teehee*

So, I would say, yes, it is shocking but

I would just be sitting in the front passanger seat of the van, and another car would pull up beside us, and next thing I know I'm caught in a dead on stare with a stranger!

You might just think this is random for me, but it's not!

It happens ALL THE TIME!

It's like they know I'm looking out the window and they just want to scare me!

A Walk, A Wreck & Arm Wrestling

Alright, so pretty much each of these pictures could be a blog on it's own,

but I'll just do one because all this happened in one day. :)

Yeah, you read right, one day!! haha

First it started by mom and I walking the beautiful Cooper River Bridge while the girls were in ballet.
It was great, and we've decided to do it every Wednesday.

Theeeen, mom wrecked into a Beemer.

Yep, with her HUGE 14 passanger van, she scraped the pretty silver paint, knocked the head light, and pulled the bumper clean off.

We were in the parking lot pulling off, and she thought she was going to miss it.

At first it wasn't funny, and then the lady that owned the BMW made the whole situation even less funny.

(Yes, I have a picture. ;)

Did our big van come out with any battle scars you ask?

Nope, a little scratch, that's all!

Do you wonder what happens at tutoring?
NO, we don't help kids learn!
We arm wrestle! hehe jk
Actually, almost all the kids had left. ;)

I heart Big Families-- and a Question For YOU!

Well, not too long ago a fellow blogger left a comment asking a question, and I thought it would be fun to answer her question by doing a blog post.

This was her question,

"My husband and I are thinking about our future family...and I was wondering...what do you think of the big family??? And homeschooling for that matter?"

I absolutely LOVE getting this type of question!

I guess it's because I'm opinionated about this one. :)

Well, I love big families, and God does too. :)

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

I think being in a big family is the reason I don't like being by myself. I get lonely so fast, and I start missing them almost as soon as I leave the house. Each of us are so close, and being in a big family is like having lots of built in best friends. :)

I think that most people who aren't used to big families think that the more children you have, the less attention each child gets, but I have to say, that is definitely not true.

Jessie, my youngest sister who is 19 months, is so loved, and a bit spoiled. ;)

She is constantly being held, or played with by one of her 7 big sibilings.

Another thing that I absolutely love about all my siblings is that they're helping train me to be a momma one day.

I can probably change a diaper in 6.5 seconds. Although I bet Kimmi, my 12-year-old sister, could do it in 2 seconds flat!! hehee Really though, she's amazing and being a great blessing to our mom.

It has also given me such a love for children.
I don't really know if that's from having lots of brothers and sisters, or just built in though. :)

I heart big families!!

As for homeschooling, It's great, and I love it!

I think one of the best things about homeschooling is just how protected I've been.

I'm still very protected, and I am truly thankful to my parents for that!

One huge protection that is given from homeschooling is that your family is your best friend.

When you're with a peer for at least 8 hours of the day, that person becomes more like family, and then when you start creating a friend based family, that seems to pull your heart away from your real family that God has given.

Another good thing about homeschooling is that it seems to be a real character builder.

No one knows you better than your family, and no one will be as honest with you as your family, so that can be hard and easy to deal with all day long.
Being with my family so much, I know what types of things I need to work on most because let me tell ya, Kimmi isn't afraid of pointing out my flaws. (but look, I think I just pointed out one of hers.) hehee

I could keep the list going, but this blog post is already so long. hehee :)

But I would definitely tell you that I love being homeschooled in a big family.

I'm so thankful God gave me the family I have, and I feel so blessed!!

I absolutely love this passage, and I think it's because reading this just really lets us all know how well God knows and loves us.

He knows every detail in our lives, he knew us before we were here, and he knows exactly how our lives will unfold.

I think at times we're afraid to let people completely get to know us because we fear that someone might find something about us they won't like, but God already knows everything. He's with us - loving, protecting, and guiding us through every situation and trial in our lives.

Isn't it a good feeling to know that God knew each of us before He even made us?!

He planned what each of us would look like, what families we would be planted in, if we would marry, how many children we would have, and exactly how each detail in our lives will play out.

Before we could know God, He deeply cared and loved us, and it's a greater love than any of us could even understand.

So, when you're having a not so great day, and maybe you're stressed or feeling discouraged,
just know that God loves you so so much, and that really should just brighten your day.

It's amazing to think that the God of the universe, the one who created the heavens and the earth, the one who has the power to bring the dead to life, to turn water into wine, who walked on water and fed 5,000 people actually knows your every step.

He hems you in behind and before, and

He delights in you!
