Now, I am not usually a big sappy person over celebrities. But Donna Summer was a fabulous singer who leaves me with many fond memories with friends.

I remember dancing with my girlfriends in middle school to her "Last Dance" song, we would be very, very, silly. I remember my mom driving my 4 friends and I through the center of an outdoor mall while singing Donna Summer’s famous songs! We thought we were so cool with the windows down, blasting her tunes and singing at the top of our little 12 year old lungs. . . It was a fun memory of being young and silly.

I was very sad to hear of the news that today, Donna Summer passed away at age 63, from her battle with breast cancer. Rest in Peace, Donna Summer. I smile as I watch many YouTube videos of your epic disco songs like "Last Dance," "Hot Stuff," "She Works Hard for the Money" and "Bad Girls."

Each being uniquely hand painted, Lolita Glassware has a special design for everyone.

I was first introduced to Lolita Glassware in college. My roommate had a handful of these gorgeous, hand painted wine glasses. They were absolutely adorable. Home Videos. They can be embarrassing, make you cry or laugh. They can capture moments like nothing else can. I found that this book is a fun, quick, and simple guide to follow. It works with the reader on how to make better video recordings! Although it is not meant for the very advanced, it is meant for the average folk, like you and me! With fun chapters like “Don’t Blow That Once-In-A-Lifetime Event” and “Going Viral: Shooting with Cell Phones, Video for Web Sites and YouTube” I found this book to be relevant and up-to-date!

The book is short, but helpful and fit my shooting needs. As a blogger, I am supposed to know how to be a social media maven, an expert photographer and a slick v-logger. Well, I am new to most of these things within the last few years, and I need some guidance. This book is a great mentor for teaching me how to shoot successful videos. Whether it is a tutorial, a product review or a v-log, there were many tips that I got from this book.

I learned tips like the “5 second rule” and how to position the camera and move myself! No matter what I am using to make a video – my smartphone, digital still camera or a camcorder – this book had some great techniques! I recommend wearing the sandals a few times for a short period before wearing them all day. Breaking them in slowly is a good idea for overall comfort – and avoiding blisters or raw skin!

The sexy and stylish zebra print suit that I received from Berrydog is a suit I wouldn’t normally choose for myself. That being said, I am glad I was sent it, to push me out of my comfort zone a bit. Both the top and the bottom are in the size large, but cover a lot less than typical large suits do on my body. At first, I hesitated, but then when I finally tried it on, I realized this suit is very flattering, despite some flaws I may have.

Both the top and the bottom pieces are tied with string. This allows this type of suit to fit a variety of hip and chest sizes. It also is nice for taming the muffin top bulge. Since the bottoms are not just one fitted band, you can adjust the strings, which gives you a more flattering look. You can tie towards the front, towards the back, or the more popular – right in the middle. I am thankful that the top doesn’t have any annoying pokey tags. The bikini bottoms do have a tag, but since they are in the back of the suit, they are not bothersome. On the front of the suit is a adorable rubber tag of the Berrydog dog mascot. This is a cute added touch.

The suit is made well. It feels sturdy and I am proud to say it is made in the USA! Now that I am more used to the skimpier look and the zebra print style, I can happily say I like this suit. It will be coming on many trips to Hawaii with me in the near future!

I have had the Samsung HTC EVO 4G Android phone for almost 2 years now. It is my entire life wrapped up into one tiny little gadget. If I don't have it with me, I feel alone and desperate. It is like an automatic anxiety attack. Yes, me and my phone are inseparable. 

Every now and again, I head over to the Android market and download some of the latest apps. One of the apps that I most recently heard about is an app called POWOW Messenger.

What is POWOW Messenger for Android? This app is the only text messenger application that allows you include anyone on any mobile phone in your circles of friends and family, team, coworkers and neighbors.

Some of the Top Features Include:

1. Group messaging with true reply-all for everyone in the group (Primary)
2. Single place for all one-to-one and group messages, replacing the need for 2 apps to do both
3. ZipIT: Blacklist unwanted texters so you don't see notifications or messages; Mute notifications so you don't see notifications but still receive messages

I downloaded the POWOW Messenger for Android to check it out for myself. My experience with this app is good. I found it easy to navigate through and use. It is very simple. Basically, while I had the ability to message multiple people before, this app took it one step further. Now I could get the messages back to me all in one place. With the replies coming in on the same thread, it was easier for me to manage the conversation. I don't do this often, but about once a month. This made it a lot easier – rather than bouncing back and forth to the individual threads. This is VERY cool! Secondary to this, but also a cool feature, is that I could add as many people as I wanted to a message, add an entire group, make favorites, etc. Whereas before, I had to search for each individual I wanted to message.

Overall, the process of the POWOW app simplifies messaging for multiple people at once. It is neat how you can organize and choose who you message, you can block user notifications and the fact the replies are all tied together. This is a great app if you send group messages!

How do I Get this App? If you have an Android phone, and this app sounds of interest you you, you can download the App by searching for "POWOW Messenger" in the Android market. It should be the first thing that pops up!

The number one reason to live in Colorado is the sun. Surprisingly, we get more sunshine than any other state. Which means it can be 30 degrees outside, but the sun is still shining in the sky! This is a huge difference from my home state of Washington.

Since I am not a native to Colorado, it took some time to get used to it. But after a few hard lessons (sunburns), I quickly realized how important sunscreen is here – all year round. When I was furloughed as a flight attendant, did you know I worked for a dermatologist? Have I ever told you that? I received the Volley Black Coated Canvas Sanibel Collection. They came wrapped in tissue and in a heavy-duty shoe box. They were stuffed with cardboard and tissue to maintain the shape. When I took them out of the box, I was excited to see that they were similar to the clog style that I love!These shoes have many great features.

Of course the grip on the bottom is key. I am running through airports, walking around in messy aircraft galleys, and up and down the aisle. So the textured little star shapes on the sole of the shoes keep me safe from slipping! (Moms, you know what I mean, spilled orange juice, spaghetti sauce, or crayons!)

The rubber slip-resistant bottom sole, is just the beginning. The look on the outside of the shoe is clean, crisp and classy. I received the black coated canvas fabric, but these shoes are also available in canvas fabric, box leather, and leather leather. As for the black coated canvas, they are very pleasing to the eye. They have a light shine to them and can withstand stretches and scuffs. The tip of the toe has an extra rubber portion that keeps your toes safe if you run into something or drop something. The stitching is thick and well-sewn. There are a few fabric pieces that combine to make the top portion of the shoe. Each is stitched together and forms a smooth, attractive-looking shoe.

Of course there is a lot more to a good shoe that just the outside appearance. The comfort is why I love the shoes first and foremost, and always have! The inside of the shoe fits snug and gives exceptional support. I got them in a size 38. I am typically a size 7.5-8, and this is the European size that fits me perfectly! (I highly recommend trying them on in person for sizing before purchasing online!) Since they are in EU sizes they can be a bit confusing, plus you should check and see is wide or narrow fit you better.

This Sanibel style in particular is lighter than the shoes I have had in the past. This is a MAJOR benefit when it comes to carrying them with me in my flight bag! The inside is anatomically correct and fits the shape of my foot from heel to toe. There is a small cushion on the inside bottom and on the top lip for comfort.

I have been wearing these shoes to work (sometimes 14 hour days!) and for everyday purposes for about 3 weeks. I’ve gotta say, once again Dansko shoes stood up to the test by delivering great shoes, just as amazing as the pairs I’ve owned in the past. And if these Dansko shoes are like the ones I have had in the past, they will last me about 3-5 years with pretty heavy use!

I am happy that I first tried this brand when I  trusted a friend’s input. I spent more money than I ever had on shoes before, but boy were they worth the investment! Everyday I was thankful that I had them. I can’t even tell you how worth it they are! I hope these shoes stand the test of time as well.

Like I said before, any one of the Dansko styles make an excellent gift for Mother’s Day. (Moms, you are on your feet just as much as anyone, if not more. This is the ultimate reasons these shoes would benefit you. There is no reason you should be uncomfortable as you chase the children, clean the house or run errands). They have cute heeled shoes, sneaker styles, sandals and boots! They are both a practical and thoughtful gift. I promise, as far as Dansko goes, it worth is to spends $100 on a pair of shoes.

Overall, if I haven’t expressed it already, I am pretty head over HEELS in love with Dansko! Once again, after reviewing some of the shoes from their newest line, I am still overly impressed. Way to go, Dansko! I would recommend Dansko to anybody!!
