Some of his song was very melodic and original, will capture your heart in an instant. Some of his song you think its kinda boringly repetitive, but after many years of living and enduring the hardship, you start to change and you turn to enjoy the song you thought were boring, and you see the hidden substance.

The fist song of his that I fall in love with was "morning has broken". A haunting melody and a perfect musical arrangement. The guitar strumming accompanying with a stream of talking piano. Soon as it end the rewind button was hit and almost precisely at the beginning the stop button push and the strumming continue, those was the time of tape recording, to play back a song you'll need some time, but we done sweat the delay in anticipation, and the song get imprinted in the mind.

Used to savor his deep accent of folk, almost like tasting honey which is too sweet, listening to his folk song which is too folksy.

Sometime I wonder, maybe he is a better song writer than singer. The song he wrote make others more famous than he does. Of course to some part of the world he is too famous to surpass, but to the commercial scene some may not know his effort was the power behind very famous singer or should I say very rich singer, sometime with only one of his song bring to others maybe millions.

Once in a while some disco song come along and easily becoming popular. The style of this song is nothing new, fill with stain of the 70's. Even the halfway rap like male voice sound like reggae. enjoyable song, again feelings of the 70's floating around.

Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, well this song may sound like she is taking a tricky path through the swamp, but with only one song may not reveal her true talent, she actually can write some pretty good stuff.

But always with a little upbeat disco style is easier to gain popularity.

This girl has potential, but looks like she knows too well which one can sell which one not. I think she deliberately avoid putting up any artistic and deep stuff and run the risk of not selling well. Yeah, what good is deep sounding song if it cannot spread wide enough. Hope some day I might hear some really innovative stuff from her, she really has the potential to do that.

This one sounds like she purposely held back the climax, and hovering around what is not coming out and savoring tj sensual anticipation.

Listen to this one, how she play around with her voice, coming out from many ways, I can almost see a Madonna emerging. I wish for her the success of all she can achieves.

This song is so touching for me, I'd been through the era of Malaysia in the aura of"muhhibah" ( Harmony ). Since when did this vision been worn out, nobody have any idea, because it happens gradually, just like the story of the frog being cooked slowly in a gradually heating up water, even though the story may not be true but it reflects the situations of Malaysian, but with this song, we can see that there lives among Malaysians who remembers those bonding we use to have. These people are trying to bring back our brotherly bond that buried deep in our society, which is now being purposely divided to serve someone's political ambition.

The scene that children playing paper football game brings back memories of our past, used to be no electronic devices with games, the only electronic device that carry entertaining function is the radio. Those time we used to listen to song from beginning till the end, but nowadays we don't do that anymore, so songs don't leave much impressions don't carry much emotions and feelings, the songs may still be of great quality like this one but we find it more difficult to sing along nowadays, because we are in a hurry, and that kills the deliciousness of a song which when brew long enough in our ears long enough will sink in our heart forever.

I was watching a science fiction drama (continuum，Rachel Nichols play Kiera Cameron) until this song came about. It was a back ground song of Hanna suicide, so sad...But with my latest understanding of living and dying, I am not feeling so sad, just watch with a different perspective, death is not the end of life, it is just a transition.

With the wonder of technology, now I can straight away look into the internet, and with this I fell in love with Dala. Simple and down to earth folk song, This type of music always attract me to dig deeper, I can see honesty without icing on their music, they don't seems to mind whether their music is lack of originality, creativity, just down right expressing their feelings through their music, that is all they seems to care. So glad to hear such sweet music again. Grateful to have them around making music for us.

无聊的时候在you tube随便找突然在心中升起的一个字Belief,结果拾到宝。蓝调的歌手我喜欢的不多，也许没有时间好好的坐下来听一听，也许没有心情，少年时的雅兴已经凋零。但是这个歌手，却能够一下子抓住我的心，一开始，我还对他咬词不清的唱法有点排斥，但是渐渐的还没待听完这首歌我就知道这是一位不错的歌手。他能够一下子抓住我的心的原因却原来是他民谣的背景，喜欢他的当然不能够只止于民谣，喜欢他的率直，虽然有时候好像有一点太过露骨的直接但是却还是喜欢他的忠于自己内心的风格。

一位歌手要忠于自己的内心，把感受毫无保留的表达出来，不做任何掩饰，忠于自己的灵感，不故意巧柔造作，就这样很容易就能够抓住众人的心。更何况他又长的那么帅。木吉他的时代，他的吉他技艺已经是一流的了，进入蓝调时期更加能够表达他的成熟的技艺，还能够不留余地的表露蓝调所不可豁免的率直和真实，蓝调就是能够把情感不再掩饰的倾述，不留余地的控诉，哭述，如是的真实不虚。

很独特的风格，很容易让人留下深刻印象的风格。很东方的一张脸孔，原来妈妈是马来西亚的华侨，纽西兰炙手可热的歌手，西洋的城市民谣，却带有丝丝的东方气息。这种气息就像糖溶进水里面了变成一种很独特的风格。整体而言，静静的听着，还蛮享受的。听着有一种我行我素的潇洒，一点不造作的熟练。不试着讨好任何人的一种表达，很吸引人。假音和她的本来的声音几乎没有分别的情况，这是她的天赋，有时还带有一点点伤风一样的声音，要很注意才听得出何时在运用假音，这也是她独特之处吧？

很喜欢这样的歌手，印象中找不到任何歌手像她，不管是唱法，风格，还是歌曲的调调，像谁呢？好像没有。她的独特之处首先应该是她的歌曲的曲调吧。

I was feeling down, and luckily I remembered to listen to music, and I got lifted, by...Paul Simon...James Taylor....and Eva Cassidy, a bit odd, to get to listen more of her music when she's pass on. At first I feel a bit too late to get to know her more, and I start's to think of friends who has pass on, starts to miss them, but then I said to myself, isn't that what they say her spirit lives on because of her music, than I feel better, its a good thing that many still remembered her, and she lives in their heart. Many will remembered her but how many remember us when we're gone? So I won't feel sad for her but happy for her...

The Beatle got their style with the 7th cord, she can sing out 7th how inspired she was.

My favorite Simon and Garfunkel song, being given a new life added some more spice. She can really induce new element into those songs that she covered, original may be good but her's are not less either.

I was writing on my lap top, and thinking of listening to some good music, so I simply hit "The House" and Googled it, came out Miranda's song. I don't know her, but after listening to her song it was instant love. Such a touching song, with a folksy style which I haven grown tired of. Great singing skill and also good voice. think I am too lucky recently. This is because, surely of a new skill I've pick up recently, or should I say three years ago. Three years?!! Oh, I was practicing and learning and recently only grab a hold on how to use it properly, happy as I am, even sad song won't feel too bad for me.

Man! this guy might be so old but he still haven't loose his beat. I've been loving this man since I don't know when. He's always changing, his production might be slow, but I still find it hard to cope up with his changing style. His melody? No doubt about it. His Beat? I just said still there. His saying? maybe I am too slow or too..... I don't want to say, to understand. But I still love his music. His youthfulness makes young chap like us feel left out, unable to catch up. After I watch this clip at youtube I say he will not die, his music gave him immortality. Here I go for his clip for the third time...

When I first listen to the One Trick Pony album, I just cannot digest. I was so attached to the Simon and Garfunkel era of folk style music, and I was looking forward to that sweet music in Paul Simon composing, but he has moved on and grow to this rich style of music, but lucky for me after some time of listening to it, I began to love the whole lots of it, every song in this album was so rich and full of inspiration. And so I again starts to attached to this era of Paul Simon style, but as history plays out, he changed again.

I forgotten how did I get to know him, I think I heard his song "I'll have to say I love you in a song", I was still a student then, think I was at a friend's house, "Er" his name. it was a compilation of folk song. Later on whenever I came across music stall, I'll try looking for his album, found some and start listening, and find that his guitar playing was great staff but I was unable to pick up by merely listen to it (that's how I normally learn).

Than I found a song book, all Jim Croce's song and with simple tab on it, and I start to learn from that. Operator is one that I put lots of effort into it, but sadly cannot play without partner, only play along with the tape playing.

Great stuff, beautiful combinations of acoustic guitar playing, I only feel that his lyrics was mostly sad, and lonely. His music was original style, very folksy and individual, I think it will be great challenge to surpass himself if he didn't pass on in such a sudden manner.

Guitar beginner will love to play this song, but than again it's double guitar playing, you need partner for this one, or else half of the feeling gone...

With such simple musical instrument they manage to produce such effect! just perfect!

And this is what I meant by sweet song but negatively sad. Those day I was a lonely college student, riding my old bicycle slowly home, and this song imprinted in my brain, now it is like what nlp says "anchoring" that sad lonely feeling to me any time this song was played.

Because of YouTube keep deleting video, I am correcting my post, as I am doing this I came across this you-tuber Wayne傻傻, he did a great video summarizing many songs by Chinese singer singing covers of many Japanese songs. This sadly proof that many famous Chinese singer lack composing creativity. The first time I listen to this, I thought to myself, o, Paul Simon is loosing his grip. But than the music of this album stick to my brain, so I keep coming back to this song to try to look for something of a folksy Paul Simon, I think , maybe it was hidden some place in between the song. Than I became familiar with the tune and I starts to change my way of liking music, it starts to broaden my acceptance to more types of music and certainly deepen my enjoyment towards listening music. So this album became one of my favorites album. The end.

认识她们是在朋友的茶坊。九十年代初，我们这里有几间茶坊，雅致的小间，幽静的气氛加上南方二重唱的歌，往往在我们（那时和太太在拍拖）到来朋友即把关门告示牌反上。品茶，谈天说地，无忧无虑的日子。。。这歌带回那时的心情，可怎么却多蒙上一层惆怅？忒放不下了！那是不舍！这些年的佛教修为都倒进沟渠。。。还是得慢慢的转变想法才渐渐的松弛揪着的胃肌。。。

喜欢南方二重唱的清纯淡雅的风格，只是有时连带惆怅太浓，会让人怅然若失，心酸酸的愁，这种心情往往降低艺术的欣赏，可惜了。

Once in a while a cover version sound not less better than the original. Maybe it's the technology, maybe this one is less wild or more refrain than the original one, and make it more commercialized. Sometime commercialized is not bad at all, it made all that easier to swallow.

I was walking, shopping in Popular Book store and I heard her, So stylish, individually jazz personal style. I try to ignore but I couldn't, so I walk up to the counter and ask who is singing now, they give me a name "Zee Avi", I thought what kind of name is that? She from Indonesia? looks like one. Sorry to say it didn't (not never) cross my mind that she is local Malaysian. Groovy kind of singing, happy with little sad lyrics, how odd? But I cannot erase her voice from my mind, and fall in love with first "heard".
