Oh, this jacket. One by one several of the girls in my office got it. Then I wore it while Kiley was in town and she went out and bought it and the very next day, I spotted Grace wearing it. It makes me smile every time I go to don it. I’ve been wearing it often but when Kiley asked if we could both post how we styled it, I of course said yes. On Saturday I paired it with a mint blouse and my trusty rag + bone  jeans (seriously the best denim) and I was ready to head to the MoMa.

When Smirnoff asked me to try their just launched Smirnoff Sorbet Light vodkas I was completely game to do a little pre-party with some of my girlfriends (and how cute are these party favors of sorts?). I took full advantage to play hostess and made some snacks that complemented the alcohol that is 25% lower in calories than similar vodkas available.  The infused vodkas come in Lemon, Raspberry Pomegranate and Mango Passion Fruit which we mixed with orange pineapple juice and diet ginger ale and cranberry juice.

To accompany the cocktails I made sweet bananas (roasted with honey, butter & lemon juice and topped with hazelnuts), lemon hummus and blue corn chips, melon wrapped prosciutto, raspberries with chocolate chips (easiest, tastiest little treat ever) and all served with a bowl of candy, naturally. The drinks were fun, refreshing and delicious – perfect for a rainy night when you need to lift your spirits before a night out. Not to mention they just look summer-y and Taylor made them look extra yummy as she played bartender.

I think I’ll use what is leftover from this little pre-party for a fun get-together over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Cocktails + BBQ food? Yes please.

This week was such a fun one but also super tiring! I accomplished a lot and had so much fun with my friend Jordan in town but man am I excited for a  more low-key and productive weekend that includes a trip to the MoMa (I’ve still never been!), catching up with my girlfriends, brunch and shooting a project for cette blog.

No time like the present to stock up on affordable and easy dresses to slip on and pair with sandals for when the temperatures rise. I love the shape on this dress and the fact that it could be dressed down with a denim jacket or dressed up with a perfect pair of heeled sandals.

I’m eyeing some key pieces to make my summer staples. Strappy sandals (wedges!), an easy, breezy dress, some shorts in a lightweight fabric and some new sunnies in a neutral color. In New York sometimes it gets too damn hot to even think about what you’re going to wear so the above ensures you have some easy options no matter the day of the week. Happy Monday, all! I had the BEST weekend but now need plenty of caffeine to get me through this Monday. 

This week flew by and gosh was I grateful for that (remember my dizzy spells I mentioned last week? I was diagnosed with vertigo! My god.).

I think this week being speedy had something to do with having such fun nights filled with girlfriends. Monday night a bff of mine from high school was in New York and we got to catch up over dinner. Tuesday & Wednesday, I had the cutest little house guest unexpectedly and it was so fun to hang. And last night I had dinner at a favorite spot with my oldest friend – we met in 4th grade when I was living in London and were only in the same class for 6 months before she moved to South America and we’ve stayed in touch ever since- nearly two decades later, pretty amazing right? Anyhow, now it’s Friday and I have a fun-filled weekend ahead when another friend arrives on Sunday to play for a few days!

Tibi Kaleidoscope tank

Despite the pouring rain in New York this morning, I am loving this cute and colorful tank from Tibi. The pattern is reminiscent of those cardboard kaleidoscopic we all used to have kids – remember? I’d pair it with white jeans and transition it into the fall by topping it with a blazer. I also love the dress in the same print!

Happy Monday, all! Summer is right around the corner and with it comes more bare skin. There’s no better time to get ahead and start giving your skin some much needed TLC to get it prepped and I’ve discovered some pretty great products to do just that.

1. Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil: I am IN LOVE with this oil. I have been using it for the past 3 weeks and my skin has never been so smooth, so hydrated. I was so nervous to put an oil of any kind on my face since my skin already is oily, but this product for some reason is not only a luxurious experience when put on each night, but it has only improved my skin’s texture. Seriously, if you are going to spend money on anything this month, make it this product. It is so amazing.
2. Kate Somerville Exfolikate Body: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this product truly, truly works. If you suffer from chest or back breakouts this will work to render them obsolete when used a 2-3 times a week. Bring on the strapless dresses!
3. BareMinerals Tinted Moisturizer: In the summer I try to wear as little makeup as possible because otherwise it’ll just melt right off but this tinted moisturizer does double duty by providing SPF while moisturizing and providing light coverage so it is ideal. Swap out that heavy foundation and pressed powder and rely on this little guy.
4. SkinCeuticals C+AHA: This lightweight serum is used right after you wash your face to wear all day as it works to neutralize free radicals, prevent environmental damage and has glycolic and lactic acids to subtly exfoliate to reveal smoother skin. I am newly in love with SkinCeuticals’ serums- I use this one at night as well.
