A North Tonawanda woman accused of killing her boyfriend has been released from jail. Jennifer Marchant has been held in the Niagara County Jail since February.

Jamestown Police officers were called to the scene of a car accident early Friday morning at the corner of South Main Sr and Sabin Ave.. Once on scene officers saw a vehicle with extensive damage in the middle of South Main St.. Several witnesses told police that the driver of that vehicle had hit several parked cars before fleeing the scene on foot and hiding in a nearby wooded area.

A Jamestown man was arrested Friday night after police were called to 245 Barrows Street for a Domestic incident. Police say Joshua Whalen had assaulted a family member and damaged property inside the residence. Upon arrival the suspect ran back inside the house to hide in the attic and refused to come out.
