The sole purpose of Rebecca Jane Weinstein’s website Fat Sex is to sell her book, bearing the same name –and it does so splendidly. Set against a black background, the book’s cover and Purchase button are highly visible on first view. Navigation links are set in a full-width toolbar along the top, and social media buttons are placed in the upper-right - a familiar location for most website visitors. The website’s color scheme is consistent throughout, and plays on the black, grey and reddish pink shades of the book. Each content page combines short text with at least one image, making it straightforward and uncluttered. Each page also includes a glossy Purchase button. In the Contact page, Weinstein used the website builder to create a glossy contact form widget, allowing colleagues and potential buyers to contact her through her website.
