Special Meeting Regarding The Library

The Borough Council will have a special meeting July 16th at 6 pm. to introduce an ordinance that would change our library status. There will be discussion regarding our library becoming a Branch of the County System.

Please join us at Borough Hall at 6 pm. July 16th and hear about possible future plans for our library!

Book Discussion Group Summer Reading Suggestions

West Long Branch Public Library Welcomes New Acting Library Director

On June 11, 2009. the Board of Trustees of the West Long Branch Public Library appointed Meg Rosenblum as the new Acting Library Director. Meg Rosenblum has served the West Long Branch Library the past six years in various capacities. Most recently she has been the Access Services Head and supervised the staff of the library. In this position she has overseen collection development, staff hiring and marketing and has been instrumental in innovative programming for the library.

Originally from Michigan, Mrs. Rosenblum has lived in Panama and Ecuador and is bilingual, speaking fluent Spanish. She received her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and will be working toward her M.L.S. in Library Management. She has been a resident of West Long Branch for the past seven years. She is married and the mother of three adult children.

Please stop by the library and welcome Meg to her new position.
